Before I stopped looking, in my search for a nice corp, I guess my insistence upon refusing to give out any API key, or join comms when I undock, is something which could cause others to look upon and label me with similar terms to those you have used there.

So would this in fact mean, that I am forced into my situation? I guess that's a consequence of the multiplayer aspect that I'll have to deal with! It's still an awesome game though Smile

Can't blame you for not wanting to listen to idiots talking and an FC who has to repeat everything several times BECAUSE of the idiots who can't get it right the first time.

bingo, his pig not being a goat doesn't make the pig wrong, just him an idiot for shouting at his pig "WHY ARENT YOU A GOAT!" (Source)

Lol this happened. I remember how I briefly was the one of the top killers in a merc corp, roaming around solo while we were at war with about 300 different groups, totalling 50,000-odd members, often without a scout alt, and getting plenty of easy carebear kills in my quest for elite PvP. It was kinda chilled at the time, but the corp got more serious when we hit the top of zkillboard for the week.

Later that night there was a fleet up so I joined comms, and had to listen to this arrogant dude tell me how I had to have slaves to fly a proteus and to go join RvB if I wanted to mess about. He wasn't joking either!

Actually my memory is flawed. I think I quit them for the 3rd time because our chilled CEO left What?

And no I do not want to do this in low sec or 0.0 before the normal cretins start mentioning level 5's in low sec.

My point of view is that if you give some multi-player content in safer areas that is more accessible then the elitist Incursions you will push more people to work together and get into the multi-player game quicker. But CCP seems to miss the obvious... and listens to the cretins...

I guess you guys could try running level 4s in assault frigates or something. Some of the cosmos and storyline stuff in hisec is harder than lvl 4s I hear. I still haven't tried any of them though. Not much into missions.

Trouble with making harder group content for hisec is that you would expect it to pay more. But more pay is supposed to come with more risk. And players will min max the crap out of things in hisec. I suppose CCP could ban battleships from lvl 4s like they banned T3s from 4/10s. :P Then add some sort of hisec version of lvl 5s for battleships. Then you'd get more fleeting up for both 4s and 5s.

Done level 4's with assault frigates and logi frigates, can be fun, depends on the mission though, why make it pay more, make it the same as level 4 we would be totally happy with that. What we need is that its more of a challenge and it has to be more than just drop you in teh middle of a whole lot of rats, make it so you can move in on them with a fleet.

these things are available in low and null because it gives people the encouragment to explore different areas, lets just all cram everything into highsec, lvl 5's, 10/10's, pirate missions, sleeper sites etc just to keep people who dont have balls to go and explore happy.

man up, fleet up and go do lvl 5's

Its not a case of man up, I find getting dropped by BLOP's so tediously boring that I would rather watch paint dry, it is boring as hell, why subject myself to giving them free easy kills to stroke their epeen, have to be a masochist to enjoy doing that, and its not as if its a challenge for them, its easy to do.

I have operated in 0.0 and that's what people do, play Tanks or something while having a cloaky alt and as soon as they see someone active they log in and in comes the drop, its just boring as hell to have to deal with carpet AFK cloaky Cyno's all the time. We want contact where we can play have a joke and a laugh without being subject to lame ball less drops all the time. In any case the issue with reduced numbers is with hisec, its just lame content for single players and nothing apart from incursions for group play. People are starved for fun group content in hisec and insisting that we go and give easy kills to people in low sec or null is not going to happen, why would I do that.

Have you been BLOP's dropped, you get neuted, ECM'd so you cannot even fire back, then popped in short order they then warp to safes cloak up and jump out. Its boring as hell like being ECM'd by the Falcon of old, why the hell would I do that? You going to tell me its fun, but it is not fun for me, why the hell would I subject myself to that rubbish?

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

Even better is to make them talk in local. I created some moments of total WTF among locals when Schmata and her sister got into a public fight over something. Names were called, fingers were pointed, arguments were exchanged, fun had been had (omg, is this even a tense in English language?).

On topic:

You can play Eve solo but Eve will throw multiplayer at you anyway. After all there's market and voila, here's your interaction with other people. You can't turn off local chat and again, here are other people. You can fly solo, mine solo, do indy stuff solo but other people will always influence you. Gate camps you jump into, traps you sping, battles at station undock when you are docked inside, market speculations dumping or boosting up prices of your loot/fit, all that and much more are things that you will be confronted with and influenced by no matter if you always have a fleet going or going solo.

Statistics that CCP presented are just that, statistics. No more no less.

I play since September 2011 for most of the time as member of R1FTA and I got bored with Eve around March this year. We had fleets, we had roams, we did ganks, we went solo, we did piratey stuff, most of us also did indy/pve/market to have funds. I was always welcomed to join in, I felt great among space friends. And I got bored. Not with people, not with my solo, with game itself. I don't think any change released in last 2 years got me really excited. On the other hand I'm not sure what change could get me excited so there's that.

Anyway, what I wanted to say is that this is just another thread about same thing that was discussed gazzillions times before. You can try to do stuff solo but MMO will get you no matter what. That's beauty of Eve and single shard universe. If you don't like this idea go play something else or wait for such game to be made and released.

As I said being BLOP's dropped in low sec or null is not interesting content, its totally and utterly boring, I enjoy PvP but I am totally uninterested in being dropped like that, and where the hell did I say I want AFK content, we want challenging missions where we have to be on the ball with logi and get our fits right, your just making assumptions to fit your own agenda on how you want others to play a sandbox game.

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

Very very often EVE mechanics itself as well as the average player behavior is forcing people to play solo rather than to play together.

(Concord, Plex prices, Tradehubs around every corner, ... It´s just that simple.)

Playing since 2009 / 2010 in Highsec, lowsec, npc-null - often tried to integrate with different player groups - result: playing solo for a long time now. And there´s no reason coming to change that. Instead the more I play EVE or experience the behavior of other people here, the more aversion I get trying this again - although I would really love to be a part of something bigger then me, working for greater goals than I can set for myself as a solo player.

OK, maybe I haven´ t met the right people yet :D - next years will hopefully come.
