Just because I got reminded of that again after setting MOTD for our channels:

Make the settings dialog of channels non-modal.

Thinking about a proper MOTD and formatting it right takes time (at least for me) - and I always get interrupted with other things.

Well, they oughta know what to do with them hogs out there for shure.

Sounds good in theory, but you know the first thing people are gonna do is grab all of the big rocks and drag them off grid, or bump people with them....

1) Containers in a Corp Hanger array; Allow us to rename, view and change contents without having to launch the container into space or move it to your cargo-hold

2) Planetary Interaction; give us similar functionality over the extractor heads as we do with scanning probes i.e move all holding shift and scale all holding alt.

3) Full Shields for ships launching from Ship Maintenance array.

thanks

love the expansion, nice work!

I would like to see personal wallet divisions introduced into the game.

I think it would be very useful for players to control there money and where it goes. It would also nice to have the the ability to choose which division certain incomes go to. For example, lets say you have 5 divisions and you are a trader, you can call division one 'Market Income' and make it so all income from the market goes to that division. Then you may have another division set up for all NPC bounties to go to.

In my opinion is would make players be able to manage there money better and have a better idea what money they are making and where It's coming from.

Please let me know what you all think.

Cheers

i'm currently moving a hauler for a long way, on systems with lots of people on the overview and... i tried something that did not exist... but could be useful.

i wanted to right click on the next system on the way on the waypoints list, and have "warp/jump to stargate" on the list.

cause on my overview i don't see the stargate, given there's dozen of ships on my grid.
(source i can use an overview without ships, but that can be very dangerous if you forgot you changed overview)

how about adding this option ?

on your waypoint list, you right clic on the next system and you have the option to warp to the next stargate, without having to search it.
here in fact i used righ clic on space -> stargate - > the one i needed, given it was easier that search on the overview, but this new option would be pretty nice

2 questions however :
* does it make moving too easy ? given they add the autopilot on station, and the jump to gate, i don't think they would feel this way
* would it be hard to code ? i dunno, but making the game search for a stargate with the same name as the system you right clic don't seems very hard to do... but that's in theory

(edit ; in fact this option work for stations on the new waypoint system, so the code must be easy to add for the stargate)

Need keyboard shortcut for PI, "press ENTER to confirm route setting" alone will be great help.

Why did you release some window without even making ENTER key functional?

TBQH, the redo of the jump button was awesome, however the approach to loot button is kind of annoying since it lights up before you're in range and it can mess up alignments. Could it maybe be optional?
Also, very seconding the wallet division for people. It'd allow people to budget their isk etc (yay making eve more work-like!)

Please make all kills show up on all parties involved combat log. You don't have to duplicate the kill mail for everyone, just put in a pointer to the loss mail of the victim instead of copying the full text to each player's combat log. You will save space by storing only 1 copy of the KM then inserting one integer per person, referencing the loss mail ID instead of storing both a kill mail and loss mail (if that's how it's done)...and more importantly, no more problems with being denied a KM if the ship self destructs (put in a loss mail for the self destruct, final blow to the destructee), and no more "Who got the god damned kill mail you *******!!!! Check your damn combat log nao n00bs!!!" on comms anymore.

Now that the universe is even brighter with nice bright background nebula and a new graphics engine, and a new scalable UI, can we have 'widescreen' or 'letterbox' mode back?

1. Give black ops battleships the ability to use, covert ops cloaking device II.

2. Increase the jump range and fuel bay size on the black ops battleships.

3. Replace the 8 turret hardpoints on the Naga with 8 launcher hardpoints.

4. Widescreen mode and dual monitor support.

change the nage out from guns to missile.

each of the ships are meant to be range ships, so change it out for cruise missiles range small biffto the blast radius for a ship bonus.

let the missiles fly

Don't know if this has already been brought up or not but.....

It would be nice to divide weapon groups into ammo groups.

If I fit 7 250mm Arty's on my Thrasher, why should I be restricted to using the same ammo type in each turret if I group the weapons?

Maybe I want to have 2 turrets loaded with EMP S, 2 turrets loaded with Fusion S and the other 3 loaded with Titanium Sabot S.

I think this is a little request and I would love to see it implemented.

just realized we don't see the balcony of our CQ when on hangar view, while it makes no sense
would be more immersive if we could see a part of our CQ while spinning our ship (and add this damn pod room on CQ :P)

also crucible added medium shaders, can we please have medium option on incarna also ? my old computer have twice more fps on low interior shader setting on CQ, and medium option would be pretty useful for people like me ; on high it's nice but not enough fluid on old computer to be useful, on low it's playable but horrible... and given the nice part is the only use of CQ currently :P

One thing that annoys me daily is the placement of cosmic signatures with respect to wormholes.

Or, more specifically, what annoys me is their placement combined with them being player-interactible. Their placement isn't really an issue, what's an issue is they're distant from the wormhole in a random location, and interact with player actions such as anchoring or cloaked ships. There's pretty much no way to know their location normally, right up until they decloak a ship or obstruct the anchoring of a warp bubble. Even then, you don't know where it is, unless you accidentally selected it (you can target it, even), so you can't even be certain what direction to move in to avoid it.

It seems like an object that's basically part of the hidden machinations of the game mechanics shouldn't be all up in the players' faces breaking immersion and causing danger or hassle that quite often feels like the game being randomly broken in their disfavor.

It's fun to end up in a dangerous or more challenging situation by means of predictable game mechanics. That's fair play and it's exciting. It is not fun to end up there because it feels something in the game mechanics has arbitrarily malfunctioned and you got the short straw. If they were ignored for the purposes of decloaking and anchoring, they'd be fixed.

Please note that I'm all for there just being unlucky circumstances that complicate engagements at wormholes, I prey on such circumstances. It just should be made to feel more fair and sane than "oops you collided with a secret hidden prop".

This is, as the title says, a little thing... but it's so persistent and niggling that it's like a little itchy thorn.

This small suggestion got alot of backing in my thread:
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=37972

Capitals will self destruct against small sub cap gangs to stop them getting a killmail, this makes taking down capitals in small subcap gangs less rewarding, encouraging the supercap frenzy.

Quote:
So after all that effort, we get no proof of our kill, I mean, when he wakes up in the morning, he still has no thanatos...Without us there shooting it, it would still exist. So, CCP, do you not think that either one of these alternatives should be put in place a) A ship cannot self-destruct whilst in combat b) If they self destruct, the KM goes to the final blow from an enemy ship

Quote:
agree, simply adding a killmail for self-destructed ships would prevent many, many people from being cheated out of a legitimate kill. The only current solution is to "blob moar"

Quote:
Killmails ARE important to a great many people. Self destruct is important in certain cases, stranded in a wormhole for example, podding yourself is pretty nessesary. However SD'ing while in battle, has no legit use and should not be allowed. The only thing it's used for is to hide their own failures on killboards. Like logging off (which is getting fixed), this too only really effects capitals and thus should be resolved.

Quote:
SD'ing under aggression should result in a killmail. it should show that the pilot self destructed

Quote:
I've lost 4-5 capital killmails this way. Honestly it's the most bullshit mechanic in the game. Loot denial, I could see it being used for that, but a kill-mail should be generated in any situation.

Also, why would you get insurance for self destructing? If you set fire to your car, the insurance company won't pay out...

TL:DR; Make self destructing capitals produce killmails.

Damn nature, you scary!

News items displayed when logging into eve are generally not displayed on the Eve website and cannot be accessed through Eve gate. Create a tool to mirror the news on the character selection page and the Eve website. Add a News tab to the Eve Gate.

Someone at CCP again forgot to update the downtime pop-up to warn about the extended downtime. Print this forum post and use it as a checklist, or create your own:

- make a news item for the character selection page
- update the downtime pop-up messages
- change back the pop-up messages after downtime
- change the news item to a 'new patch released' format

  • Enable shift click selection in watch list. Extremely annoying you have to right click > remove every individual member if you want to change things.
  • Enable drag and drop in watch list to change position of people in it. E.g. drag your fellow logistics / priorities to the top.
  • Make overload buttons bigger.
  • Change session timer to a simple countdown. No circle.
