also when i look at my eve launcher now , after it accepted my usern/pass it says : launch eve online as : ( it doesn t say launch eve online as endi32 like it used to .

It got me a little farther. It made the new launcher appear but will not update. The download bar just continues to say Downloading Updates. Using the exe file in the Bin directory will open the client it's self but will also not work for me. every time i open it it says theres a patch so it downloads it. keeps doing it every time I open the client. I problem seems that it will not update the new patch.

No really. I can't get the new client at all. It updates to 100% on 3 of 4 then freezes, every single time. Every DT breaks my ExeFile setup and fixing it makes the new cient re-install. I lose about 45 mns of playing time becuase of this. I only have about 3-4 hours of playtime dring the week (realisticaly, usually 3) and if im down for hour every day becuase DT breaks mysetup and the new client loader refuses to wrok, well, that drops me down to about 2 hrs of play time. That's not worth it, not for $15/month. CCP needs to figure this loader thing out soon.

Its crazy. all my PCs are working except this one.ž
Launcher fails to update, I ran repair tool this is what I got.


WTF is happening?

Ill submit error log into bugs....cant copy paste here, too big.

Okay so My dad is trying to play the first time and when he tries to log in his computer comes up and says ccp.exe file not responding any got any ideas?

Something weird has happened.

My post disappeared, and obviously CCP wouldn’t delete a post that they didn’t like, so I’ll post it again.....

Just in case people cannot find the original (39 pages atm) thread regarding how bad the launcher is, CCP have moved it so that its difficult to find, in the vain hope that people will stop complaining.

i'm still not able to log-in, my launcher is not working, the installer is not working either, repair not working, nothing is working.

2 WEEKS now without being able to log-in, i have to go to my friend's house to start my skills. I tried everything but nothing is working...

How would you feel if you could not log-in like me for 2 weeks?

REPAIR NOT WORKING IT SAYS: an error has occured dujring the repair, error: unpack requires a string argument of lenght 4.

Online installer not working: error: unpack require a string argument of lenght 4.

Offline installer is not on the server so i can't download, the links time out.

Launcher stuck at 0.0% validating client.

Launcher on my laptop is now non-functional. Working just a few days ago.

It failed to update today and now is broke.

When attempting to open launcher it says:
Remote Info-file could not be fetched.

Please check internet connections
etc.

There is nothing wrong with my internet connection.

The update bar at the bottom never shows progress.

Enter password and the "PLAY" button greys out.

When trying to bypass it says incompatible protocol via bin\evefile.exe. When trying to repair launcher it says: NoneType object is not subscriptable.

Please revert this launcher. It has caused nothing but headaches for many many users.

It doesn't matter if it can patch quicker if it can't, you know, launch the game.

Same problem here. Can download it from folder CCP--->Bin--->Exefile But that do not work, it downloads patch over and over and over again. Repair tool wont work cause it fails after 0,03 seconds from start. I wish i could reinstall game but DOWNLOAD the game files did not work.... it seems every patch fails with launcher. Its nice to loose valuable gametime every week.

I tried the 1st method however my launcher auto updates from 539169 to the newer broken version. Is there a way to stop this auto update to the launcher so I can continue to use Launcher 539169?

Repair tool fails every time: error: unpack requires a string argument of length 4
Total Runtime: 0h00m04s

Trying to launch from the bin\Exefile.exe displays Incompatible Protocal and downloads an update but then that update never seems to update anything.

EDIT: I fixed the problem by uninstalling Spybot. Initially I disabled it but that still didn't work so I had to uninstall it and the launcher completed the validation process.

Got the same issue here... unable to validate.
The Game repair is broken... won't work either... WTF!

Edit: ------ Confirmed ----- Uninstall SPYBOT S&D !!! ----- incompatable with new launcher

I had the same issue, unable to validate after installing spybot, uninstalling spybot did the trick, thanks.
I think it has something to do with the proxy settings in spybot as I couldn't access any internet services after removing spybot until I removed the proxy settings spybot puts in place.

Your EVE client installation may have modified, damaged or corrupt files. Please run repair.exe located in the EVE game directory or re-install the game client.
Verification failed: 'C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\bin\_trinity_dx9_deploy.dll', crc:ebc940f5, expected:79bdd7be.


I've deleted the common.ini and relaunched the client multiple times, but I continue to get this error message.


EDIT:

Deleted _trinity_dx9_deploy.dll, launched the game again, re-downloaded the patch and all is well.

Hi I was wondering if anyone has an answer to this I am returning to eve and have a different computer from when I origanaly played I try to download the game client and it extracts the files and then hangs with a chinese letter followed by letters D2. I have disabled firewall and tried the offline installer and same thing this is very annoying and any help would be greatly appreciated
