Since CCP Karkur just posted the original thread during the AT stream, I thought it was best to start a new thread that includes much more information than just my original article.

What is Broadcast 4 Reps (sometimes referred to as Broadcast For Reps)?

It is a reminder to all those that have thoughts of suicide or hurting themselves that we, as your community, want you to reach out and get help. There are many resources that players have created or provided that you can use, including an in-game chat channel (join one of the channels "Broadcast 4 Reps" or "Broadcast For Reps"). You can pop in this channel and talk to the room, or even ask for someone to chat with 1 on 1. There are moderators in every timezone, and there is almost always someone willing to listen. None of us are professionals (though some may have training). We are simply fellow players who are willing to listen and talk should you reach out.

You can also join our public Discord channel (via app, or browser).

I don't think I'm suicidal - can I still talk in that channel?

Oh god, yes. Life isn't always easy, and having someone to just vent to can help. Whether you are depressed, anxious, frustrated - whatever has you feeling alone or subjugated - your fellow players are here to listen.

Someone made threats of suicide in game... what do I do? Do I contact you?

No, do not contact me. You want to file a trouble ticket in order to get CCP GM's attention. To do so:

1. Open a new trouble ticket
2. Select type "Game Play Support"
3. Select category "Stuck" and "Stuck Character"
4. Put "Suicidal person" or something similar in the subject, and include a description of what you witnessed. Attach any chat logs or screenshots that can help the GM's.

Additionally, if you can, try to keep the person talking. Listen to what they have to say. You can encourage them to contact us at Broadcast 4 Reps, but please get the ticket in first so that CCP can get to work while you are talking.

Can I help?

I recommend reading over this great guide for giving help over on the r/EVE wiki. Once you've looked that over, please feel free to keep the "Broadcast 4 Reps" channel open and chat with your fellow players. Remember, at the end of the day, sometimes what we really need is just someone to talk to that will listen. Those that are dealing with problems know there is not always a solution to be found in a random internet person - but it does help to get it off our chests.

That's all in the context of playing the video game. The trolling ends when you Broadcast 4 Reps. Carebear or ganker; Sov Lord or wormholer; LS pirate or HS roleplayer; brave newbie or bitter veteran - We are all part of the same community, and it is as awesome and diverse as it is because you are part of it. And we are here for you in your time of need just as you would be there for us in ours.

Good to know this is still running, props to all the people that help out there still.

And to anyone uncertain about it or uncomfortable. This is about the one place you can go to talk and not be targeted or greifed over it, EvE is a harsh place but this channel goes against the grain. It is there to help people, if you think you may need help, chances are you do, so stop by.
Im not saying it will fix everything, but having a little talk and some support can have more worth in difficult times.

Remember - we might be total and utter assholes in-game, but that competitive animosity *stays* in-game. Just because I gank your hauler and infiltrate and steal from your corp doesn't mean I wouldn't buy you a beer IRL.
