surely when youve deployed something 4 or more times and it still fails, the only logical solution is to rollback until you know what is actually wrong with it?


Often you don't want to do that immediately as you need to gather info as to the problem. Only when you exhaust that avenue do you rollback otherwise you may simply take 2 hours recovering only to hit the very same problem.

Some of the most amusing and creative authorship/content derives from unscheduled downtime. Many of the posts in this thread are compensation enough.

I would hate for unscheduled downtimes to forever cease.
