The OP has some valid points, but I would remove "first" and add "also". One of the strength of EvE is its capability to host many different play styles side-by-side in the same sandbox, from solo play, small scale to super-size "F1"-fleets. In the scope of an MMO solo certainly means, there is no other warm body in my group, but does not mean, that I'm alone. IMO, there need to be meaningful activities for all those play styles - this is good game play design. There is not always a fleet up or a buddy around, if you can't do things solo in this case, you just won't log-in. Giving people an advantage if teaming up but at the same time discourage multi-boxing is fair, but forcing people into groups to have fun is not - because this will just reduce content.

There is another aspect coming to my mind, some of us recommend people to join a corp and get into fights early ... from my point of view I'm not sure I would be still here, if I had chosen that path. IMO, a sustainable understanding of the game needs some time of solo and experimenting without the external pressure to follow doctrines, agendas, skill plans, blue lists, and orders. Finally you have to shape the game for yourself and not let others do this for you. This experience may vary, but again, EvE should welcome all player types who agree to the sandbox.

EVE already has that, they are called "null sec anomalies". I do them every day, 3 machariel BPCs so far this week (yea, they don't sell as well as they used to, but isk is isk). I've been playing since June of 2007, been in null since late 2008/early 2009. I've suffered exactly 2 blops drops in that entire time, one of them I escaped due to having an MJD (thank goodness that stealth bomber guy was to dumb to fit a scram). The point is to NOT get caught, and if you are getting caught, you are doing something intensely wrong.

You keep citing boring mechanics, but that's just you rationalizing personal failure, you can't get ECM'd by a blops drop if you are no where to be found by the time the blops jumps the cyno (and i'll bet your main problem has to do with where you play'd, NPC null is not null) . It's ok if you don't like null pve for legitimate reasons, but your dislike is no reason for CCP to give you stuff to do in high sec.

Well you have to move around don't you, and I have no interest or fun being easy kills, you say its interesting, but most of the time I have played this game its been to make it difficult for people hunting, but its boring now and too easy for them apart from the missions, but that was changed with D-scan immunity ships. I had fun ratting in 0.0 systems with others hunting me in system, but it gets tedious when they use the same approach all the time and its made easier and easier.

And again you speak for your own group, my lot just have a laugh, and to be forced to give easy content to others just because people min/max things with AFK fits so we get punished because some do that is rather naff. So there you go the AFK min/max approach forcing unattractive gameplay on others. Oh well, you see I don't want to play with people who play other games and just log on to get a kill then go play other games, why should I make it fun for them? Why should I?

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

I don't care what you think with your insults and contempt, you are a maximizer who thinks that everyone plays like you, they don't.

Shall I tell you how many times I had a successful BLOP's drop on me, zero, the only time I died to a BLOP's was going into help others that got caught, I jumped into it having already avoided it. So much for your boasting and my personal failure, you just have no idea at all do you.

I just repeated the feelings of a number of people who got caught like that, caught and executed with no chance to shoot back, sure was not fun for them. I am different, I am the sort of person who sits in a system with an expensive ship making them waste hours trying to kill something that they have no chance of catching, my fun comes from making people waste hours of their time trying to kill me, so much for giving it to me on a plate. I have done that most of my time in Eve

And then I just want to go somewhere and have fun PvE content which is a challenge, hell pay at the ISK level of level 1's for all I care, but without having to deal with the lame players who want perfect execution kills with no risk, they are the problem of Eve, just like you who maximises everything, you run Incursions to make ISK, I hate doing Incursions, I chose not to do them, the ISK has no interest for me, I have billions anyway. So there you go keep going on about how fail I am and yet you have no idea.
