We are happy to announce that the Tiamat release has been successfully deployed!

Tiamat brings the new Minmatar Tactical Destroyer, the Svipul, along with balancing to projectile weapons, many more corp little things and friendly fire control, visual updates to strcutures in missions and deadspace areas, new UI icon additions, more themed UI elements, quality settings for sun flares, atmospheric sounds for pirate faction structures, improvements to the audio engine, additions to turrer audio and of course a new theme tune for Tiamat.

In addition to these features, a number of new inhabitants of New Eden will be emerging from their slumber to begin exploring, their motives unknown and their tolerance for capsuleers untested until first contact.

You can read more about what's coming in the "Coming to EVE in the Tiamat Release" devblog by CCP Seagull, and check out the full patch notes here.

For issues with the Tiamat release, please use this thread. For general feedback on the release, please see here, and to report issues with the Mac client go here.

Known Issues:

  • If the message "You are engaged in combat!" (which is prompted when undocking in empire space while having limited engagement timer) is suppressed with the answer "No", all subsequent undocking attempts will fail silently.
  • This can easily be fixed by going to the ESC menu / Reset settings and reset that message in the "Reset Suppress Message settings" column. This has been fixed internally, and the fix will be deployed very soon.

  • A few in-space objects in the starter systems are missing names and will therefore display as "[no messageID: id ]" in the Overview and on brackets. This has been fixed internally, and the fix will be deployed very soon.

  • The columns in the result view for the contracts search are messed up.

  • The skill queue timeline is half black and half blue.

Above issues have been fixed with the deployment of Tiamat 1.1 on February 18.

You might want to check if the display of ISK Cent values (*.00 ISK) got deactivated. Click the cogwheel at the top right of your wallet (ALT-W).

As far as I can tell this issue is an old issue and existed on TQ before today's patch. I can confirm that we have an internal defect about this, but it is not fixed yet.

Not certain if this is the right place to ask this but since I'm downloading the update as we speak.

Do you have multiple servers which seed the update?

Is there a way to choose where you download the update?

Currently I'm still downloading the update on my 100mbps connection and I see +6000 players in game. Yes I just tested the connection and it works right. Do these other players have a magical 1gb connection or what gives? Smile

Edit. nevermind.

FW Sites are not longer available in my overview. I also tried "Default All" - nothing. The sites are now just normal anomalies, without a beacon for the overview. I can't see this "feature" in the patch notes.

Just out of curiosity: What are the Bug Hunters doing? And seriously: Set your release interval back to 8 weeks or so. I do not care about high build numbers like in stupid browsers, I want a working game and not such a mess with every patch day. And get more Bug Hunters and pay them or give them other rewards so that they do their work properly.

--

Issue report: When I set a destination or waypoint from my asset window and have scrolled, let's say to the middle of a 20 stations long list, the view resets to the top of the list with every waypoint I set.

--

Regarding the DL speed, I have had no problems; download was all the time with the max speed I get with my line (~550 kbit/s).

(3/3): APPLYING EVE_ONLINE_861477-862956_WIN.PATCH: 5.0%

It's stuck there and I really don't want to wait another hour for the patch to download. And allthough I've set my launcher to not delete the patches, they're nowhere to be found.

Had this issue with prior patches aswell. So get the damn patching-process fixed allready.

The players are CCP's bughunters.

The idea is to introduce a bug-ridden release every 6 weeks, then fix some of the minor issues raised by players. They ignore the rest and move onto working on the next bugged release.

Awesome stuff.

CCP Philosophy: If it works, break it. If it’s broken, leave it alone and break something else.

The glow/light from planets and other sources also is way to strong. My Oracle just got strobolighted by a Lava planet even though I was hundred thousand kilometers away from it and in warp (the same happened moments later with a Plasma planet). Furthermore, when I warp there's a constant flickering occurring on my ship's hull when I warp. All in all, the light from the planets and nebulae seems to intensify all of a sudden when I am in warp as I do not really see it when I just sit around a planet/moon.
