People have tried on test, it's ECM and that's about it. Excluding webs as that's less ewar on the traditional sense - I.e. Cap war, ECM, damps, TD.

These rats are different from the norm.

Cap warfare works on NPC ships, it just works a bit differently than on a player ship.

Nos will give you a limited amount of cap from them for a short period of time.
Neuts will reduce their repair rate by a small amount.

Now if you're saying the burner rats are different, I haven't tasted that yet. However I highly suspect that if they don't have the same vulnerabilities as normal rats (perhaps in a less detrimental way) then that would be either a bug... or something we have to have a chat with CCP about.

Reports are ECM sees them falling back to 100km, extremely high damping (to the point of suggested frigates having base lock ranges of 400km+) resilience.

To be clear, I cannot independently verify as I've not had the opportunity to test, but these are from the test feedback thread so I rate their credibility quite highly.

At the moment burner missions aren't worth running... The risk = reward is non existant.
Atm I can earn 8 million from a burner mission and 5750 LP
For a regular lvl 4 mission in my Paladin I'll earn roughly 20 million isk in bounty and a whole ship of junk.
(The time it takes for both is roughly the same)

Some may say "Why don't you just do regular lvl 4's then?" Well, because I don't want to... I want to have fun while doing missions regardless what their objective is, and I'd like to be able to do burner missions but their tank and dps is too goddamn insane at this period of time.

What is the burner ratio in the mission table?

I don't run level 4 missions. I have the agents, I just prefer to do 3's. While I would like to try these burner missions, not enough that I will drag myself through 12 standard level 4's to get to one.

Imagine if NASA made an MMO with real physics but we had to build the warp drive and optimize it before anybody could leave the solar system.

burner missions are genuinely dull.

i was actually excited when ccp said "level 4 missions for frigates". shame that's not quite what they delivered.
i'd rather have had an actual proper mission than an arbitrary "can you fit a frig with 400 dps and tank?" check.

It's always the same story in Eve: if you want to do anything fun or exciting, it's on the other end of several weeks (or months) of skill training and/or ISK-grinding. (Though I suppose that's true of other MMO's as well.)

In the meantime, you can shoot little red x's in your crappy T1 frigate and just be glad that you can share the same space with the Elder Gods of Eve.
