Hey Zifrian,

I started using the Split prices option in the "Update prices" and I can crash the application everytime.
I'm using the last version, just starting IPH, importing prices in "Update prices" with "Split prices" checked (raw mat : min sell, items : max buy), then going to "Manufacturing list" -> calculate and when I double click on an item I get this :

[

I can't for the life of me reproduce this. I'm not sure the "split prices" is the issue? If you can work through it one more time so I can reproduce it, that would be great.

How do you remove stuff from the shopping list? The Remove Item button does nothing here

Buy anyway having the chance to remove single materials from the shopping list could be useful. As much as an "All" check box for decryptors in the manufacturing list.

my 2 cents

I'm working on adding this to the shopping list now actually. Just taking longer to do than I expected.

I want to make a suggestion for this great program.
Program can already show our industry jobs and i am curious if we can use this in our production plan

Lets say we can make a manufacture plan in program
-make manufacture plan(item list to be manufactured) and it prepares a shopping list depending on preferences which are already saved.
-acquire items and start production
-industry jobs shown (user needs to refresh it for program to get info) after last shopping list will be stored.
-each industry jobs finished(need refresh) will remove the corresponding amount from our manufacture plan.
-manufacture plan will show how far we made through the plan, we will get accurate and fast info about our work.

This can really make industrialists life a lot easier. We like to plan stuff a lot and for that plan we had to spend a lot of time in click-fest of eve industry system.

I am aware this kind of thing require a lot of work for programming. I just wanted to share my thoughts.

Keep up the good work Zifrian

Yeah, that's been on my list for awhile. It's a bear to start something like that but I know what you mean. Say you want to build a titan and you have 5 chars building stuff - How can you track it? Someone else suggested a batch system that you could have multiple jobs and characters to manage. Honestly, that's in the "crap that'd be awesome but not going to happen soon" list. I know I can do a lot of stuff, I just have less time than I would like to do it so I don't want to keep promising to add stuff and not do it like I have in the past.

Hello,

thanks for the excellent program. I try to find my way around and have two remarks so far :

Installation:

1) Installer Path : By default it shows the User's AppData directory for installation which imho is not the right place but it
should go into C:\Program Files ( if its a 64bit app - my machine is 64bit installation ) or into C:\Program FIles (x86) if it's a 32bit
program. I assumed its a 32bit one and put it therefore into the latter directory

2) The program doesn't launch on a Windows 8 ( not 8.1) Ultimate 64bit machine and crashes without any other message
than the windows message saying that it crashed ... . It installs fine as mentioned above. The only way to get it running is putting it into WindowsXP SP3 compatibility mode ( Tried with Win7 - doesn't work either )

I have no clue what the consequences could be though and the following may be one of them:

When selecting on the blueprint tab "Blueprint Type" -> "Owned" the drop down list above is empty but i have a couple of BPOs in my assets which are not currently used for manufacturing. My API key allows to see the assets and i checked all inside the character selection panel refering to the various information items.

Cheers

Zul

OK thanks for this feedback. I have no idea what happens in windows 8 and probably won't anytime soon. That's one of the drawbacks of building something for everyone when I just use a windows 7 computer in English. I don't even want to go into the pain I had early on with EU language windows versions.

As far as the installer path, that might be something I can fix but I thought that's how it was set up. I'll take a look. I think it goes into the appdata folder. The installer really isn't necessary other than allowing people to get icon's made and the like. Plus, I'm using all free software to do this so I don't have much in the way of settings control. That should be a pretty basic one though.

On the installer, you could just as easily run the binaries in a folder. There is no system files that it needs other than .Net 4.0. So maybe give that a shot on windows 8? See if you can download the binaries and run it in a folder without installing. I'll double check a few things to see if the one .dll I use has any issues or updates for windows 8. But let me know if that runs or if it still crashes.

As far as blueprints. Make sure you import them first. I don't automatically import asset information when it loads because of the long refresh timer (6 hours) on that api. I leave that to the user. Additionally, if you have BPC's, you need to select "All" to see them displayed. I need to work on this to make it a bit easier to understand and will probably add an option to automatically load asset data but not sure when I can get that done.

Hi Zifrian

First off, I want to say thank you for a great application. It has helped a budding manufacturer figure our so much.

I have only 1 thing that I find myself repeatedly doing in IPH and that is setting custom prices, especially for raw materials. I would love to see a feature added to make it easier to set custom prices globally as opposed to individually. For example, a spin edit that can set all selected prices by a percentage of whatever was downloaded that day.

Thanks again for a great app :)

csv export by pressing "Copy List" in the Shopping List dialog box returns an erroneous comma in the "Total Built Item(s) Volume" field.

E.G. 36,000,m3 is exported, which in csv format turns into [36] [000] [m3]

Is anyone able to make EVE IPH work these days? Whenever I try to add a character, I get one of two errors:

Unable to update API data. Error text: The server committed a protocol violation. Section=ResponseStatusLine

or

Unable to update API data. Error text: Root element is missing

Whether it's one or the other varies randomly.

Root element means the data returned from the API call is blank. The other also sounds API related.

Program is working fine for me. I would check your connection to CCP's API server first. If you have EVE Mon or any other program that accesses the API that would be an easy way to check.

Hello.
I have a problem with Taxes in IPH, it different from ingame Taxes, eg:
I sale Rattlesnike for 418996552.49
with Broker Fee 1499533.42
and Sales Tax 3142474.14
IPH show me 2548274.17
Can you give any advice ?

Minor module naming issue; Bastion Mode I has been renamed to Bastion Module I.

Merely a nuisance, just have to clean up exports & pastes to work properly every time I input data.

But FYI.

You should be able to do this by selecting all regions on the price tab? I might not be understanding what you are asking.

Well, taxes and broker fees work only one way - basically for buying materials. That's not now taxes work in the game and I'm trying to figure out the best way to apply taxes and broker fees for items and items produced. One thing you can do is check the standings for taxes and fees in the settings and see if that helps.

Thanks. They have a new DB dump up but I'll probably wait a few more days to see if they work out all the changes before posting an updated version. That'll fix this name issue.

First off, amazing program. Can't imagine developing/supporting something like this by myself. That said, I have a few questions I haven't been able to find answers to:

1a) If you own multiple BPOs/BPCs of the same item is there a way to reflect this in IPH? If I own one BPO of item X and also have 3 BPC's of item X, it'd be useful to have that reflected in my owned IPH assets.
1b) If yes, what about if those identically named BPs have different ME/PE values?

2a) Any way for BPC's to display runs remaining?
2b) If yes, can these by updated automatically through the API or do they have to be manually adjusted? I know the DRK Industry Tracker has that feature, but I prefer IPH by a long shot.

Thanks again for a great app!

No, it won't allow multiple BPs....yet. It's something I'm working on but on 1b you've run into the issue I've been trying to work out.

No, but that's an interesting idea. I'm not sure if it's in the API. I don't think it is, but I'll double check. If so, I'll have to work that into the multiple BP storage as well.

Edit: Yeah, poking around this data isn't returned from the API. Other apps use the industry data to track what happens to blueprints and such. I do not because industry data only goes back so far, I think a few hundred records and there are issues linking up the unique record. I have been planning on looking into this though. I'll update if I can come up with something I'm confident in.

New build to fix the errors reported in the past few weeks

Build 2.2.5086.34729

  • The copy to CSV on the Shopping list will no longer include an extra comma in the total built volume.
  • Bastion Mode I has been renamed to Bastion Module I
  • Fixed a rare error that would crash the program when double-clicking on a T2 item in the Manufacturing Tab.
  • Blueprint Tab - Mouse scrolling through decryptors will now display the correct IPH and profit numbers for BPs with more than one run.

Could you explain the "Taxes" option on the main Blueprints tab? I've never seen this show an accurate figure, and I don't see any way to fix the rate at which I'd be taxed for creating an advanced sell order.

It's the combination of the taxes and broker fees to set up an order on the market for the item you are building.

Try looking at the station standings in the settings to see if it shows up more like what you are looking for. Also make sure to consider the broker and accounting skills.

But overall on the taxes issue, I really need to rework that since it's not making any sense to what we do in game. Appreciate any ideas.

My bet is Linux doesn't use a currency type...although not sure how you are running it. Send me a message and maybe I can see where it's used and why. Might be able to switch it to a float.

A very useful feature would be to be able to have different prices for materials and items in different locations (region, hub, system).

This is because I generally buy materials in one region and sell the items I produce in a different region.

Thank you

In the update prices tab, just select the materials and update for your selected region then update them. Then select the items and not the minerals to update for a different region.

I got EVE IPH run on Linux!!!!

I have Ubuntu 12.04 on a 64 bit machine with Wine 1.6.

I Created an empty WINEPREFIX 32 bit (32bit is required to get microsoft .NET 4.0 install).

Quote:
WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=$HOME/.IPHFolder winecfg

Install microsoft .net 4.0

WINEPREFIX=$HOME/.IPHFolder winetricks dotnet40

Download EVEIPH v2.2 Binaries and extract in a folder.
From that folder run

WINEPREFIX=$HOME/.IPHFolder wine EVE Isk per Hour.exe

I found 2 problem.

1 - On wine the graphyc is very ugly

2 - running the EVE ISK per HOU.exe from a different folder cause an error.

Thanks for the fixing price calculation on mouse scroll invention update with multi lines :)

A little idea:
An option with a checkbox to set the shopping list window -always on top-.
I dont have multi screen setup, and it would be very cool at shopping that window stay on top when im in the eve client.
