It isn't much of a troll--he did violate the EULA in a way that is supposed to result in banning and, depending on where he lives, Indictment, regardless of spelling is more realistic than you realize. I liked his leadership and hope he handles himself well now which, at this point, would indeed mean resigning.

Another one had pictures of actual poop in it.


All that was approved by a CCP staff member before hand.

+1 He's an idiot and not fit for purpose.

We had a guy in M. Corp that killed himself several years ago, it's not even remotely funny to make jokes about such things. Especially as for all too many people suffering from depression and similar conditions EVE is a refuge and form of escapism.

What is to investigate? Watching the video 10 times over?

It's very simple. CCP will wait a few days until people cooled of, check if this is becoming a PR problem or not.
If regular media picks it up, Mittani will have to respond one way or the other if he is smart he is planning now already. Worst outcome is that he is suspended or any some such similar.
If regular media does not he can write it on his Goon CV and do a suicide gank massacre in jita (pun inteded).

So cry havoc and let loose the media. Can an event such as this pick up in regular media? Does Sony care?

Oh for gods sake prof, go watch the video again and read the sentence where he made the suicide reference... read what IMMEDIATELY follows it. He jokes in a direct reference to his (at that time) recent in game deaths.

He wasn't serious then, and he certainly isn't now.

No, he did not violate the eula. What he said is nothing different to what is said in crime and punishment and the countless corp and alliance forums day in day out.

The fact that Mittani encouraged thousands of players to harass someone with mental instability is as repulsive as it is vile; he should face the consequences for his actions. The thousands of players now using it as a platform to remove him from CSM are just as vile. You're creating the same negative situation and view of this game that he did, just not in so public a manner.

FIX:-

1) Flagalation required - Mittens needs to spread em and take some stokes.

2) Public apology with plenty of media exposure, Mittens contrite.

3) CCP and Mittens announce market leading moves within Eve to monitor and prevent cyber bullying with a trained CCP employee added to the staff who is able to advise those who feel they may have been a victim.

4) CCP once again innovate within the MMO industry and get big coverage for it.

Silly joke gone wrong after alcohol - if you haven't been there then you probably haven't lived. Fix it, move on, blow stuff up.
