What does the model's opinion matter? The reality is that Lieutenant Kernher is now the pinup of choice for at least half of the docking bay here in Lasleinur 6-15. I can see that from here!

Respectfully, can we maybe win without further embarrassing our allies?

This is in incredibly poor taste, especially considering the subject objects to having her image used this way, and has not given her permission for her likeness to be reproduced.

And that's coming from a goon.

As much as I would encourage other women to embrace the beauty of their bodies I would still respect their culture and their need for privacy. This is utter distasteful even when it is fake.

All of this does seem on the borderline of inappropriate, but a great man once said "you shouldn't selfishly keep your beauty to oneself only".

With respect, it doesn't seem selfish to me if she doesn't want to be set up to be ogled against her will. I'd be mortified, and I don't even come from such a body-conscious culture.

I respectfully ask Mr m1thr0s here remove this picture from circulation to show due consideration for Second Lieutenant Kernher.

Doctoring such scandalous images of someone who has served the interests of the 24th Imperial Crusade and the wider empire with humility and a dignity exceeding her station is morally reprehensible. Any man who claims to truly be Amarrian should recognise his fault and seek to apologise for any offence caused.

It is obvious to me that these recent victories by the Crusade owe more to my efforts in summoning demons against the Minmatar than the work of Samira Kernher.

(Of course, now that the demon summoning has been curtailed, we might expect the rate of warzone capture to slow down.)

Is this your way of suggesting that justice for these actions would require 2nd Lt Kernher to remove a 'pound of flesh' from the offending party.
This would seem the precedent for such action. Perhaps there is a respected Lord willing to openly make such a request.

Would've been more charming if Kernher's imagery - and possibly clone - hadn't been pirated.

To be honest. Even I, as a woman who doesn't mind posing in a bikini, would find it a massive invasion of my privacy if someone released such imagery of me without my accept.

Second Lieutenant Kernher is true example of what reclaiming is all about. She is devout and loyal soldier of Empire, and to use here image in such distasteful way is appalling.
Stop this shameful thing!

This is without a glimmer of a doubt the funniest thing I've seen on the IGS in ages and the best propaganda against the 24th I've ever seen. And it was all done by the 24th's own forces.

Bad taste it might be, but I can't deny that I've had a proper belly laugh at little kin's expense.

*****DELETED****

*She frowns as she hits the delete button to her reply on this thread.*

"Yes, Mother" she says, in her office in the 24th Imperial Crusade station in Mehatoor to the well-dressed, immaculately tailored and coiffed blonde woman in the background.

She looks up and says quickly "The unapproved picture should be taken down if she didn't approve it."

She glances back at the blonde woman.

While I've seen capsuleer images doctored into much worse position, usually they are not posted on official forums such as these.

Though the image certainly should be taken down if Lieutenant Kernher does not agree with being represented as such... the model they used isn't that bad.

Pretty sure this is covered under parody of public figures. You should see some of the stuff that's out there on the Galnet.

You people have laws *protecting* someone making fun of people in public? That's horrible! I can guarantee you, if that were to be done to someone at LDRBC, the vandal would be sued out of the courthouse and clear into orbit.

As long as it's not clearly malicious or smearing, yes. There can be arguments about it being harmful to a brand or public perception, but in this case it'd likely be considered a clear case of parody which is largely protected. I think this place has similar rulesets, but I am not entirely certain.

Really? The Empire protects smearing like that? That's awful :c

Oh gods another of these blasted "liberation" threads; as if you slavers will hold those systems for more than a few weeks. The war has swung back and forth so many times that it's like watching a ping pong match. The TLF will take them back from you soon enough and at that time some genius on our side will likewise proclaim victory. And the cycle will begin again.

As to that "poster" of Kernher I have no comment.

When the world is running down, you make the best of what's still around.
