"these people" don't

WE do

Without "These People" there won't be a WE

If you can't get that, then enjoy the last years of your game as your targets dry up and everything starts to look like October in Guild Wars.

CCP Quant: Of all those who logon in Eve, 1.5% do Incursions, 13.8% PVP and 19.2% run Missions while 22.4% mine.

40.7% Join a fleet. The idea that Eve is a PVP game is false, the social fabric is in Missions and Mining.

This is EVE's version of "Doomsday Anxiety". EVE has and is doing fine even though it still separates the wheat (players with the proper eve mentality, who stay) from the chaff (the majority of the gaming world).

Oh and personally, my targets are the Angel Cartel, they can't dry up lol. I spent all weekend frustrated because I couldn't get my rat on due to needing to be in defense fleets (wicked Creek is Wicked), not seeing this so called decline you keep worrying about.

You didn't answer the question. Like all the others.

Why do they need it easier than the tens of thousands before them?

No one dares to give a straight answer. Lol

They don't. They also don't need to play a game. Any game. At all. They prefer to play a game, and several aspects determine which game they choose to play. These days there are many more choices of what to play. Eve needs to adapt to this new environment, or suffer the consequences.

When eve started, if you wanted to play a big sci fi MMO, you had eve, and nothing else. Even if you found many aspects of the game not to your liking, you put up with it to get what you wanted: A cool space game. Now? Many look elsewhere and find something more to their liking. The small niche game that is eve is getting an ever smaller niche. The result is the title of this thread, a shrinking sandbox.

Options: Eve does not change, and tries to continue with an ever shrinking player base. Or, it changes and adapts to the new gaming environment.

More like the players need to adapt to Eve or they can **** right off. Eve does not need nor should change to appease a playerbase that is best suited elsewhere.

New Eden isn't nice. It isn't friendly. It isn't very hospitiable. Good thing there are people here to shoot in the face.

Intelligence on the internet is being diluted like a homeopathic "remedy."
We can accomodate people who are less naturally gifted and prop up the game with their finances.
However, there does come a point where you feel like a giant tripping over midgets.

Solo games have devolved into "lead by the nose" and are rather hallow without other humans.
Books, lately, tend to strike me as patronising because they over explain things at great length.
Television is worse than both of the above.

Fast forwarding through my life via distractions is becoming more difficult.

You evaded the question like everyone else. Besides, threads of them prove that they NEED it easier, so whatever you say about them not needing it is kind of silly, considering reality proves you wrong. Also do you make the same dumb mistake like many, not considering that quality is an important consideration. Trying to get the dumb people here, who are unable to do what tens of thousands of people managed to do before them, is plain stupid and will only kill the game.

So, why do they need it easier than tens of thousands of people before them? Come on, people, it's so damn easy to answer and yet not a single one of you spat out the flat, painful truth!

That is one.

Who is footing the bill for the intelligent people who are bored of online games and have found a new hobby?
Who is footing the bill for the intelligent people who are too busy or old RL now to play?
Who is footing the bill for the intelligent people who are playing other games?

That is the implied question.

If you can demonstrate with hard proof that the majority of players want more depth, complexity and are happy to receive it via an every slower process from a dwindling developer pool then you might want to jump forward with that, quickly.
However, CCP is a major employer in Iceland, so I think the pressure is on them to keep as many jobs going even if they have to sacrifice EVE on the altar of ignorance.

OMG, another wbt.

Eve should not change?
Of Course, no Need to nerfe or buff stuff or repair erors.
To your logic CCP could let of all developers...
No Need for new stuff...

This thread bring out the most ignorant eve Players...

LOL
Its not about what EvE Needs, ist what CCP wants.
Steady, better growing, income.
Without new Players and CCP would Need to rise Prices.
But better for all would be much more Players.
More Players in a sandbox mean more variery.
Those new one would Need something interesting. Nothing bad in that.
Lower the PvP experience? Nobody said that.
On the other Hand, if some douchebags can not shoot at newbs and miners and make 10 pages of Story.

Man you love your strawman arguments. He did not say that EVE should not change, and he certainly did not say that ship and module balancing should stop.

He said that people who don't like what EVE is should not be allowed to dictate changes to the game. They don't like EVE anyway, so they should quit their bitching and go play something else.

They = you, by the way.

Stop being such an ******* who tries to twist words around to something that's not written. You're not even good at it.

Tens of thousands of people before managed without issue. Why do some sort of people need it easier than then tens of thousands before them, who didn't? Why? Answer the question! Be the first! Lol

And why would anyone want to change the game for those people who can't deal with what tens of thousands had no issue with? Lol

The multitude in subsequent generations, who can play classic EVE, have alternatives to this game and thus are not pouring into it.

Dwindling supply.

Really, I thought this was obvious from our prior posts.

CCP will change to get more Players. It is always a good idea to have more Players around.
You Claim People who dislike EvE want to change EvE and that is WRONG!

I am here, i pay, i don't plex my accounts and i sell PLEX.
So i would assume, i like EvE.
Stll, i have no Problem with EvE getting better and more interesting.

I do not even say EvE is dying.

+1

The ironic thing is that the people who don't like EVE and think it could be so much better if only it weren't EVE (lol) are actually the people who can't be happy with ANYTHING. In games and real life they they clamour for change. Change happens and they get unhappy, because that change became the new status quo, and they HATE the status quo!!! Twisted

Seems everyone else was able to understand my post. Way to levy personal grievances against someone who has less than zero care for you. You're proving the point I made in my original post:

This game has no need to change for the likes of players like you. None.
