Heya.

Great tool man! I stopped using Eve Mentat due to Cache Scrapping, so having your tool with CREST is great.

Still, I gotta ask...

That new "Fast Price Copy" option... Does it falls inside our outside the updated and clarified EULA posted in the recent Devblog http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/holiday-greetings-team-security/? I'd like your personal opinion as a developer of the tool...

" Conduct

A. Specifically Restricted Conduct

3. You may not use your own or any third-party software, macros or other stored rapid keystrokes or other patterns of play that facilitate acquisition of items, currency, objects, character attributes, rank or status at an accelerated rate when compared with ordinary Game play. You may not rewrite or modify the user interface or otherwise manipulate data in any way to acquire items, currency, objects, character attributes or beneficial actions not actually acquired or achieved in the Game."

Still your program can be used without that option, if it falls outside the EULA making it still a great tool.

Thks!

FPC is only a means to copy a price to the clipboard without having focus on Evernus. It doesn't send any keystrokes/macros/etc to the Eve client. It doesn't interact with the client in any way - you can think of it as a system-wide Ctrl+C shortcut.

I love Evernus, but I'm having trouble getting CREST up and running. Specifically what do I put for the Callback URL?

Um, where and why do you want to put it?

I just realized you might be talking about custom crest client data. Sorry, totally forgot about it. Put evernus.com there.
But, the default app works fine, so there's usually no need to change it.

I added evernus.com to the callback for my crest api application on the developer website, but market data is still way out of date, and when I update all, the CREST window pops up but after I login, claims it can't handle the callback url.

I'm a little unclear how CREST should work. Does CREST allow the Evernus client to pull all marketdata from the game, including market prices from other players in a station?

Hello,

This program has been workign great for me, even the CREST implementation. However I haven't used it for a few days and when I try to update from CREST I get the following errors:

Protocol "" is unknown....

Do you really need to use your crest application instead of the default one? Did you add http://evernus.com as the callback, literally? Nevertheless, using own crest app is something for advanced users. Unless you absolutely need to substitute it, there is no reason not to use the built in one.
To answer the last question - yes, crest pulls everyone's orders.

Sorry... so I gather that Evernus has a built in CREST id and secret to pull data, and the custom one would only be if you're tying Evernus into your own custom application. I'm not trying to do that, just trying to pull accurate market data for the station I'm selling in. What's the best method for just getting market data, each time I open Evernus I "Import all" but the data on prices is still a month old. Should I be doing a cache or log import?

To clarify when I "Import all" I get the error message: "Evernus has been compiled without CREST support..." does that mean it can't get market data from the web? My preferences are set to import "Prices" from "Web" and "Market orders" from "API". Thanks!

Ok, seems like you have a version without the default CREST data. What system are you using? Windows and OSX versions are pre-built with the default data. You can use the --crest-id and --crest-secret command line parameters to pass your own app or build it yourself with the necessary constants defined. The callback URL should be http://evernus.com.

Yeah, I'm on Linux (Ubuntu 14.10 specifically). I create the cmake file with cmake -G "Unix Makefiles" according to the instructions and then compile. But would I have to make my own CREST id and secret, or is there a default one I can use?

I tried creating my own with the callback "evernus.com" and running evernus with my id and secret, but during the "import all" the CREST window popped up, I logged in, and then got an error that the callback didn't return the right result or something. I'm not trying to tie Evernus in with my own app, just trying to get the market data for my station.

Ok, so that explains why you don't have the default id compiled in. The link I gave above shows how to compile in custom crest data. Please check if the callback url is http://evernus.com with the http:// part.

The automatic import popup that appears every 30 minutes is really annoying, especially when I have something else on screen and it pops up with full focus interrupting whatever I am doing.
Also when I hibernate the computer and then resume it the popup appears but everything fails for some reason, this happens every single time.

Can anything be done about this?

I assume you are talking about automatic import. Have you tried minimizing the main window? If that doesn't help, I'll try to force it to stay minimized.

I keep it always open on another monitor, it's just the popup that steals every focus every time it pops up, kind of annoying when I'm playing some other game and suddenly everything stops because the window is right in front of everything.
And about the hiberantion thing, when resuming the system the app probably thinks it's long past time for a refresh and tries to do it as soon as it can but it doesn't work because the network interfaces haven't initialized yet or something like that and then it fails spectacularly with red marks everywhere

You suggested this app on another post that I did and I downloaded it tonight. Ive yet to delve into it properly but I have a couple questions.

- On character orders is there any way to hide the fulfilled and only see active?

- On price Status I have one of two things, No Price Data or a blank area with nothing in it, is this because my data is new?

- Under status some of the active are bold with a 8 and the beginning and some are just green with no * what is the difference between the two meanings?

I did look at the help but couldnt see anything, although I may have missed it ill admit.

- Yes, you can adjust filtering in the toolbar above the orders. If you import orders the very first time, you'll most likely see A LOT of fulfilled ones. This will come back to normal after the next import (the reason is Eve API returning all the orders for the past 2 weeks and Evernus hasn't seen any of them yet so it marks them as "changed" just in case).

- Yes, this is because you have no price data imported yet. Click on Import prices -> Import from Web and up-to-date price data will be imported via CREST.

- Bold status means "changed". If you buy/sell something, the affected order will be bolded with a * in front of the status. Note that recently completed orders will be marked as changed, so you can quickly see which have been fulfilled.

The help page needs an upgrade. I've planning on doing that, but can't find the time.
