Well, the upside of being a paranoid dumbass, if I were any of those miners and not, in fact, a bot, the second I saw that suicider dude (or anyone from known Hulk-popping collectives) in local I'd be out of those belts before their ship even showed up on d-scan. And I maybe wouldn't have mined in those systems to begin with, depending on the bigger picture. Also, IMO mining is less boring when you have to stay on your toes all the time.

That's all well and good, but when you run away everytime some douchebag enters your system it's like flinching everytime someone nods at you. During the goonies Gallente Ice blockade, the mere presence of a ganker in the station ALL DAY kept most of the miners out of the belts.

And no it's not less boring when you're worried about a 15 second gank that you have no defense against. But I'm an addict and a masochist.

When someone AFK cloaks or sits in a station or at a safe or something, it's one thing but you still need a bit of time to ascertain that this is probably what they are doing rather than being en route to your belt. Do you think that what I wrote is a full description of what I do, where nothing is omitted *and* if something isn't there, then it's something I don't do? Silly you, this isn't a guide. For example, If I change into a destroyer it wouldn't be for the entirety of the time someone suspicious is in local, and not every time someone suspicious shows up somewhere, just when it seems like they might be hitting my belt (hence the smart location choosing and smart d-scanning, so I don't have to worry every time someone undocks from a L3 agent station in their salvage destroyer). But when they come to your ice belt in a gank ship, what, are you going to reeeeeally make sure they mean harm before you gtfo? If so, then your place awaits you on a killmail somewhere. Meanwhile, I've never had a barge, Hulk or a Mack popped, AND mined tons and Orcas upon Orcas worth of of stuff in high sec, low sec, sov null sec, sov null sec where I was an intruder (just for fun to **** people off), NPC null, and w-space. I'm willing to go and say that I'm doing it pretty right, but mostly because I'm used to paying attention, trusting my intuition (brains can catch and process things before the conscious is mind aware of them, after all), not playing on gankers/AFK gankers-cloakers terms, and thinking about "if"s and "then"s. Not too hard to do, but it might not be someone wants to bother with (fair enough).

What is a "Genesis Miner"? Are you referring to all miners in EvE: The Second Genesis? EvE hasn't gone by that name in a LOOOOOONG time.

Sorry......the Kills are occurring in a 3 system area in the Genesis Region: Agal, Heorah, Hadji.

The fact that you feel entitled to face role sov with Drake blobs shouldn't mean Titans get a nerf but here we are.

You suck CCPDick to get what you want
I dont.

It is CCP's problem. They made them pre-nerf then buffed everything around them. Something Awfull is calling your name, buttercup.

You must be a miner. You're bad at forum combat.

You catch on quick.

Actually, stick the Hulk buff up your ass. Just give us back Miner missions that don't have 100% fake ore. Add some Grav sites and I can keep ane eye out for combat probes. I can work for the ore if the tards can work for the silver platter killmails.

I should feel small I guess because I actually expect content to have a place in the game? Small though because I don't have a moon goo parachute to keep me on my flabby ass.

Keep yapping. Everyone knows the game can do without Goons. It was done before.

Something doesn't add up here. Either this guy solo wardeced all these people, or he's not reporting his losses properly. Surely he's not getting away?

If he is I'm super impressed and it just goes to show how pathetic Exhumer defense is.

Here is an interesting point: Exhumers are completely safe in high sec if the pilot is at the keyboard, aligned to a warp out and paying attention. That's literally all the defense an Exhumer needs.

Alot of the kills are NPC corp so they aren't war dec. I'm guessing he is getting aggro from drones. Exhumer and barge tanks do suck hard. They have less PG than a frigate so they are forced to fit for resist damage and 60% of EVE damage is base. They either need to give the Barge class more powergrid to buff shield tank or alot more hull so it works like the freighter defence principal.

Macki: 12K Hull
Hulk: 18K Hull

Current plan CCP have in mind seems to be to cripple extended griefer camps and in general, stopping the ganks. That's the better option because the real issue is, even if you can prevent the loss, you are forced to dock up and not mine. It then becomes a content barrier and that's not what High Sec was intended to be for. Most people stay out of low and null because they get blobbed and are forced to spend most of thier time docked, spinning ships.

Heh. And then there's cloaked campers who just sit around to mess with you. Until they login and kaboom, gank you.

The only saving grace for mining is that CCP has finally decided to stop the drone regions ruining the economy with their alloy drops. Mining will actually be relevant again.

And hilariously, Goons, through Mittani, through CSM6, have at least a little credit in getting that change.

You don't need to lose any ship to former suicide ganking any more. Concord can be circumvented and now the how-tos about doing it are known.
