What you don't understand is that wherever you go you will get the same reception, ISD'd to oblivion here or Downvoted to the same oblivion at Reddit, because your communication skills are bad and you are off-putting.

I said the same thing to my ex wife

That said I think some people aren't interested in making a point. It's worse than trolling though. Some people place more value in arguing. It doesn't matter what they argue about so long as they get to argue. I wouldn't be shocked to see if this guys posting history was filled with argumentative diatribes.

Sorry I put you off, but thats your problem, not mine.
You might want to ask yourself as to why that is.

You claim Reddit offers freedom.
Are you now saying that only applies to those you agree with?

Does my syntax and format offend you?
Are you triggered?

This again just justifies my original statement on the nature of Reddit.
Mass opinion up/down voting of what ypu "dont like".

Where is the freedom in that?
No wonder you evacuated from here, when your person and opinions are so contrived that you need an echo-chamber to support them, rather than them standing on their own with you defending them.

Holy fudge Salvos, how did you get my post that I claim there is more "Freedom" on reddit? I never mentioned that, in fact there is a very hard crowd censorship, which I prefer. I said the problem on these forums are that you cannot reallly punish people for going off topic, like you are offtopic again right now and I can´t downvote you. Stay on topic, Man.

You have the freedom to be reviled and cast out. It's not that your opinions are bad. They are, but it's not just that. It's that your bad opinions are badly presented, badly communicated, badly defended, and condescending as all get out. The only reason that's "[our] problem, not [yours]" is because it's technically not breaking any rules. If the best thing you can say about your freedom of speech is "I technically can't be imprisoned for what I'm saying" then your arguments are automatically wrong. You can say what you want (within the rules laid out) but that doesn't mean you deserve to be heard. And that's where sites like reddit have some power to improve content by making dumb people turn invisible. It's not perfect, and I'm not a reddit fan at all, but people will go to where the best content is, and that's obviously not here. Not any more.

Really?

In a gaming related website, that i frequent for fun, sure. In a reallife media or forum, not at all. The thing is as this is purely leisure for me and doesn´t affect RL, i don´t need to hear every opinion, i just want fun to enlighten my mood from the trivialities of RL. If we were in a RL townhall i would insist that your opinions were heard, here in the proxy of new eden I want you downvoted to oblivion. Hope I explained that good enough.

And I think that the severe negativity you are forced to read, when entering these forums contribute to the very state of the these forums. Some times you just want to relax, and get postive input.

Freedom to be reviled and cast out?
Wat?

Its not that my opinions are bad, but they are?
Wat?

"sites like reddit have some power to improve content by making dumb people turn invisible"

So you can make content and arguments you may not understand, and misconstrue the issuer as dumb, go "invisible"?
Is that the extent of your social/intellectual threshold, that you just prefer things to go "invisible" so as to reinforce the lining of your own echo-chamber?

Im beginning to understand now why YOU prefer Reddit.

This is another example of why Reddit is better. Reddit doesn't exhaust your patience like this place does.

It's human nature to want the person you are talking to to "get it". So you try to phrase what you say in different ways trying to make a break through. So when someone refuses to understand but instead proceeds to twist what is said into something that serves their purpose (see above quoted post), the average person is left with a feeling that the person they are talking too is just being stubborn.

Stubborn people on these forums get to keep going. Stubborn people on reddit get recognized as such by community regulars and downvoted, limiting how much those posters can irritate others with their intransigence.

This is why people like Salvos love it here, short of ISD intervention no one can really do anything about the crazy they spew. At places like Reddit people have tools to deal with it.

If the new forums don't have some kind of downvote feature (even just a mild "I'm showing my displeasure but I cannot silence you" kind), they will fail and people will still prefer reddit and places like it.

So i have written this many times over, if you formulate yourself in a constructive/humorfull way I have yet to see an opinion get downvoted even if it was unpopular. Even during world war bee in the end when the goons returned to reddit, their propaganda were not downvoted because it was well made and funny.

If you cannot present yourself properly and are bringing a ton of negativity or derail you will be downvoted. That has nothing to do with an Echo chamber, but more with personal communication skills.

Willful misunderstanding does not make you correct. It just makes you wrong in new and far less interesting ways. I would say *readingcomprehensionfail* but it's obvious you do it on purpose, because you are not only a troll, but bad at being a troll.

If you fail to be broadly understood, that is your personal failure. lrn2wrdz. And if you fail so consistently to be understood, every single day, to the point where you become a financial liability for the corporation hosting the venue, yes you absolutely should be removed. In fact, I'm so critical of CCP on these forums often enough that I probably ought to be removed.

edit: bolded the parts that you chose not to understand instead of simply lacking the capacity to understand.

We all know someone like that. Reddit gives you the freedom to post whatever you want. It also gives every others poster the freedom to vote on your post.
