Okay, I didn't remember the botting software part.
Unfortunately the line is not completely clear (and cannot be, it's not CCPs fault). I can see your point and agree it is technically not on a completely different level than an excel sheet, I would still be afraid it increases your "throughput" a lot (several times). And you are probably closer to a bot than to a normal user in your performance.
I just wanted to be sure you/the users are aware of it. Everybody has to decide for him/herself as in my experience CCP unfortunately does not give clear answers to questions regard those grey areas. :/
And just to make that clear again: I don't want to take anything away from you. I'm grateful for your work for the EVE community and think you deserve praise for it :).

I understand your concerns. CCP has been known for letting loose the Banhammer without any warning or clarification. In my opinion, Evernus is safe within EULA limits.

As for the EULA topic of Fast Copy of prices, I also thought about it.
It's a huge advantage in the daily .01 market pvp (CCP should work on that anyway).

Maybe it would be useful to petition this as a dev and get an answer from CCP you can refer to.

Keep up the great work, very gooc piece of software! :)

Would anybody be interested in testing a beta version of 1.22 for Windows? CREST import is about 100x faster and needs to be verified.

I'd be interested but sadly I don't have the time to do any testing or even touch the game right now, which is too bad because I would have loved to test it out

And a new version is out with some fixes and improvements:

  • [new] sound settings – currently only Fast Price Copy sound available
  • [new] ability to set autopilot destination from Assets tab
  • [new] ability to set custom CREST client id and secret via the command line: –crest-id and –crest-secret
  • [fixed] importing prices with no asset list imported
  • [fixed] empty FPC shortcut handling
  • [changed] removed EMDR uploader
  • [changed] greatly improved CREST performance

OS X version should be available shortly.

For some reason I'm having trouble with importing from API. It just stalls on contracts and assets. When trying to import assets manually it doesn't update them at all, the window just pops up and immediately goes away. I've checked my API key and it's set correctly, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Can you clear the cache folder and try again? It's in c:\Users\your_user\AppData\Local\evernus.com\Evernus\cache

Edit: and disable ignoring up to date data.

That seems to have worked so far. One more question here now, I'm noticing if you check the box to combine characters under the statistic tab the graph seems to jump up and down very erratically. I attached a screenshot.

Were you making ISK transfers between your characters in that time?

I did a couple times, but not enough to explain all of those spikes.

Hmm, transfers would explain this as transferring out ISK is recorded, and after some time, transferring in is recorded, which gives this kind of pattern. I'll think what else could be causing this.

Yeah I dunno, it's as if wallet drops to zero just periodically. You can see I just started using the program when the blue line shows up and that increased its frequency, but previous to that it dropped occasionally as well. The odd thing is that if you look the total value never increases above the wallet of the richer character, so it's obviously not adding the two together.

The total line is the green one and it seems to be adding everything together. Unknown values are computed by linear interpolation, which explains why you see a slow increase until the blue line appears (first snapshot).

No I mean the green line isn't tallying both characters together. Look at how the total for the one character hovers around 4 bil, then the combined line never goes above that. It should combine the value for both characters together but it's not. For example, look at when the assets begin to be added. The first character's total worth is about 1.5 bil, the second character's total worth is just under 4 bil, but the combined graph still shows just under 4 bil total.

Ok, I'm going to check that out.

I just tried it and when you said CREST would be faster I didn't expect it to be THIS fast.
It's almost instant now, what did you change to make it this much faster?

Requests are now being sent in parallel. Should have done it this way in the first place...

Can you try this version and see if the stats are ok?
