I just ran about ten multisell transactions on Singularity, clearing my hanger of the usual loot that piles up: stacks of ammo, armor plates, caps, etc.

The functionality was very smooth. The orders processed as one would expect, with those that I adjusted above the value of any local buy orders becoming sell orders with my chosen duration.

I also found the linkage between the items in the list and the market data very convenient and helpful in making pricing decisions.

Two suggestions:

1. The list lacks definition with the black background and no row markers. I found myself squinting at the list a lot.
2. The popup that shows the items processed lists them all as "Sold," even if a particular item became a sell order. Showing some distinction between what liquidated and what went into the offers queue would be good here.

This is a great feature and, hopefully, will help me keep the number of stacks in my hanger under a bajillion.

Thanks for this!

thank you for taking the time to try out the feature, glad you like it! I'll see if we can do something about 1. and 2. is just temporary, mostly for testing purposes so it won't be there for much longer Blink

Nice stuff! However, could you please make sure that you do not remove the "view market details" functionality from the new sell dialog? during trading. when selling stuff that's quite important to be able to view the market orders of the items that we're going to sell, because, obviously, we're setting the price according to the orders. So, the "view market details" which opens the market window and shows us the current orders for an item is essential for a sell dialog.

I love the idea behind this but stand firm in that the "Regional Average" price is far from accurate .... Are there any plans to make this a more usable value?

Those average prices are not much different from what you do when you start checking the orders - just that the average price is calculated from actual executed orders. Its a common price model used all over Eve - in industry for the estimated price of input materials , killmails etc

Yes, you are correct, as I stated. This value is used all over the game. But what you didn't read was that it is grossly incorrect. You can run a real world test to confirm it if you don't believe me:

Pick half a dozen random modules you use a lot and/or build yourself, and then set sell orders for those at the Estimated Value. Then tell me how long it takes for the orders to sell if they ever sell. Reason being a lot of times the estimated value is a fair bit above the actual market value, thereby placing any orders from the new sell window significantly further down the market list. Or to the other remaining items the value is even below buy order prices, which then negates the usefulness of the tool further.

Please add the 'add to market quickbar' option to the items' popup menu in the sell items window. It's essential for market pvp :p

This will NOT be user-friendly. The X should always be visible. I would prefer it to be to the left of the object's icon.

There are plenty of people, myself included, who don't want to have to hunt for hidden features. Take Windows 8 for example. Hunting for the ability to shutdown/reboot and the start menu? Bad idea.

At best, people will realize that they should be able to close the window and start anew, losing all the progress they'd made so far.

Try it out on Singularity, I'm sure it's not as hidden as you think Smile

I think this may warrant a better reason than "clean ui", this is not a apple product :)

I hate the recently (unannounced!) changed market filters - the new "cog" drop down menu to access location functionality that was always 1 click is now multiple clicks and mouse moves and a mess of drop downs, radial buttons and unintuitive layouts.

I haven't seen this multi-sell feature yet, so I can't comment, but I think with this game "simplifying" the interface at the expense of changing how quickly it is to access certain functions, without making the interface optional at least at first, is rather annoying if you've been playing a long time and are used to how everything works.

Change is fine, but repeatedly changing things that are not broken in order to simplify things is pushing me away from Eve.

That said clicking a 'buy all' and 'fit all' button link on a kill mail for example for a quick reship/refit would be good. Thanks.

Not sure if a 'buy all' makes sense at all as you risk getting stuff for exorbitant prices or very far away. If a 'buy all' on the other hand would create some kind of shopping list - that would be awsome.

I heard (or maybe I'm making up) a rumor that multisell will be available everywhere except Jita.

CCP is still unhappy about how much trading is going on at Jita vs the regional trade hubs. So now besides making it onerous for haulers to move cargo to/from Jita, CCP is going to make it difficult for traders in Jita (and only Jita) too!

Oh sweet. Now if we only could multi buy, especially the entire fit.

Imagine similar window where you can drag items to add them to buy list, with little boxes with numbers on each row [how many pieces of that item we want to buy] and little arrows next to them to click for increasing/decreasing the numbers.

And then, we would just drag the fit to that window, and it would auto-populate with everything that is in that fit, including the ship.
And then we would have the box, below the list, that would say "how many times do you want to buy this set of items". Multibuy would abort of if let's say 5th set could not be bought at the same price than the first.

We could also just keep that multibuy window open and repeatedly click "buy" and every time we'd see the total sum of the items prices in big red letters :>

And it would have warning if the resulting price was higher by some percent than the region average, the same it is for single item now.

Punkturis, we beg you, gief multibuy Smile

Right, so with dumbing down of eve your now allowing any active account to unlimited (basically) training, changed all the reprocessing, allow all of hi sec harassment and bumping as fair play, revamp of all manufacturing and research, making most skills to level 5 a thing of past, and don't allow freighters mid slots or rigs, or any capacity to defend themselves.
Your moving toward the end game, lets just make it happen. Select the top 15% of SP players to get jovian technology and let us wreck eve, or....just keep chipping away at it bit by bit.

A lot of you are posting to ask me to keep the button to view market details on item, you can still do that as stated in my dev blog (icon in the context being the delta icon)
Big smileShockedBig smileShockedBig smile

The current market details button opens a new window that shows all relevant regional (or less, depending on your settings) information for that item including:
-a full list of all sell orders
-a full list of all buy orders

Dev Blog wrote:

The image posted showing an example of the new market details [not-a-]button shows a small tooltip which gives a possible price for the item. The price does not reflect the current sell or buy orders as separate amounts at all. In fact, the price seems to be based on a number spit out by some random number generator more than actual in-game prices.

Players are asking to retain full access to all the buy and sell order information. The random price in the teeny-tiny tooltip isn't going to give them that information.

So long, and thanks for all the isk.

seeing as this feature is useless for me i will toss out the request that this be an option that can be activated and deactivated.

not that anyone cares about little old me.

reasons are "its dumb", "its to easy to undersell all your things", "i want to sell stuff in 50 stations at once, because that's what *I* need", and "Sounds like the target audience is spys and account thieves."

While you're working on the low hanging fruit. The contract window with the 'exact phrase' etc. Would it be too much trouble to add the functionality of using quotation marks and/or possibly a check box to remember the setting?

I hate making contracts to my alts.

Didn't have time to test it prior to today's patch unfortunately. My observations so far are the following:

  1. The text field for ask price is waaaay to small (at least double its width pls!)
  2. General layout is ok, apart from the above mentioned issue
  3. There is unused space that could potentially be used for a nice function (see below)

I would very much like 3 buttons above the ask price text field column, linked to predefined price settings (current min sell, current max buy and average) that will apply that price setting to all the items currently being prepared for selling.

The multisell window is horrible for selling one item, can we please get a button to switch back to the old layout or make it default if you only want to sell 1 item, also the textbox where you enter the price is way too small.

Also if I drop items directly into buy orders with the Immediate option why does it limit me to my remaining market orders, shouldn't that not matter at all as long as these get sold into buy orders immediately?

The fonts are also tiny.

If we have to keep the multisell window for selling one item can we atleast get a bigger textbox with a bigger font and a focus on that textbox like we did before thanks.

I really would like to sell on Mulitsell or non-Multisell, now its annoying to massupdate (new) sell orders.

I absolutely hate the new sell order menu. Here's why.

    1. The increase and decrease sell value option by clicking the arrows is an entirely useless feature. Whenever I sell an order, it defaults to the highest buy order price. Well as a trader, I wouldn't be selling to the highest buy order, but generally selling an isk below the lowest sell order. Thus I'll have to enter a new value anyway that is much higher than the default order price. So using the buttons to decrease or increase the price by a single isk is simply not used. I recommend fully removing this feature for the price but keeping it for the item quantity.

    2. There's no option to just quick sell, which was a great feature before this new UI change was implemented. All you had to do is right click and "simple" sell, meaning the sold item will go to the highest buy order and no sell order is created. Now if you change the isk price, you're not informed on whether or not it's creating a sell order or directly selling to the highest buy order unless you check the market and match the numbers. This needs an immediate fix. There needs to be a quick sell option or at the very least a prompt letting you know you're creating an order rather than selling the item directly.

    3. There is no quick click icon to view market details for a particular item. You have to right click and select "view market details" in order to view them. If you're making these changes, why not implement a single button that will load the correct market details for that particular item? Why bother with the right click + view market details?

    4. The UI itself isn't streamlined. There's dead space all over the sell items box. The spacing is odd and lacks the familiar feel of the buy orders menu.

That's all I have for now. I'll post again if I think of anything new.

Not sure if it's been mentioned before, but the input value field needs to be wider, I can't see the whole sum as it is now. Picture

Overall, the feature's a nice addition to the game. A lot less right clicking for the traders, but will take some time to get to know the system and trust it we won't screw up and mistype some of the numbers in a row Big smile
