Just a note on updating IPH. I appreciate the interest and support but after going through all the changes in the notes I've decided to do one main Cirus update and not add in pieces as I go. It's almost as if they changed something with about 75% of industry. There are just too many things that have changed to do a piecemeal update. If I put just up new the new database today, it won't be really be useful to anyone. Actually, I had no idea a lot of these things even changed (decryptors, invention times, etc) due to the shear amount of information that CCP released in different locations. I just couldn't keep up with it all. I had thought I'd get something up soon but I have a lot of research to do first and then map out my changes to get to the point where IPH is useable.

In short, I'm not sure when I'll get the update complete but...I will get an update done. I'll update this thread when I am closer to putting it up.

Thanks

I can appreciate the difficulty you are having. Just trying to stay up with all myself has nearly made me give up industry. As if it wasn't enough spreadsheets and data.

Frankly, I think they have over complicated it now.

Good luck with it. I do hope you come up with a solution, as I have greatly enjoyed IPH.

I agree. Splitting the data into the flat files and some in the dump. Ugh. What used to be fun has become a chore and a programmatic nightmare.

I just wanted to say thank you very much for all the work you have put into IPH. I have been using IPH for almost half a year now and can not wait for you to finish the Cirus IPH update!

I wouldn't say they've overcomplicated it. They cleaned it up and simplified it without really dumbing it down. It's just a matter of getting used to. I do lots of RE almost every day in the wh and it was a pain before, a billion mouseclicks and confirmations. Now, I can do in 10 seconds what used to take upto 10mins every hour. Same with regular t2 invention/manufacturing. It's a breeze now. A big change can be a hassle ofc but as soon as u get used to it, I think most ppl will be satisfied. For the end user that is. Ofc it's prolly a hassle for a programmer to rewrite and adapt to the changes. IPH is still usable right now, just at a different "scale".

Looking forward to the update tho Smile

I use your stuff all the time, it was amazing before crius and I'm more than happy to go back to the stone age for a bit to give you time to get everything working as it should. Take your time and don't stress to much about it, pretty confident it will be amazing when you're done.

Hey man, I love your application, and I'm so happy that you're still working on it. I sent an ingame isk donation, but if you have a paypal or some other kind of secure electronic payment system, I'd be happy do give you a monetary donation. Keep up the good work man, you rock!

On the bright side of all this, the lack of IskPerHour has driven me to learn how to create my own manufacturing spreadsheets, which in turn has given me more insight into how much work you must put into developing this program. I keep thinking of new features I can add and then wondering how you implemented them in IPH.

Keep up the good work!

With the Crius update, I figure I might as well jump on this whole industry bandwagon thing. Posting in support for the (hopefully) upcoming Crius update for IPH. I only just discovered this tool, and I am very impressed. If I do follow through with industry, this is likely to become as important to my Eve playstyle as EFT is currently.

Thanks for building this tool and sharing it with the community.

CCP should be concerned when I'm more excited for a 3rd-party tool update than I was for their entire game update that pre-empted it.

Thanks for all the hard work!

I've been waiting so hard that, rather than doing any industry the last two weeks, I've been trying to cobble together my own clumsy IPH replacement. Unfortunately, I don't really grok the VB, so I've started from scratch on Android instead.

Disclaimer: The above is not meant to imply, in any way at all, that I "grok the Android" either.

Okay, so I install Parallels on my iMac, then I install Windows 7. Then I download and install IPH, and it tells me I need to install .Net. So I do that. I start up IPH again, and it crashes. So I run the updater, and that finishes, and I start it again, and it crashes, with this information:

You are using an outdated version of ISK Per Hour. The updated version hasn't been released yet and your version is still trying to pull the old API that doesn't exist any more.
