Go ahead and quit, bro. That's the wonderful thing about capitalism, the market steps in to fill any significant gap. If enough of you lot quit to make an impact, it just raises the price and gives further incentive to mine. Which handily balances out your even existing at all.

Well, anyone that whines to CCP to fix their problem won't be missed.

If you have a problem with gankers, fix it yourself (though unsubbing is also a good choice in your case).

I heard the Proc was losing a mid slot and gaining a low, which one one had would please the yield-miners and on the other will frustrate the good, sensible, safe miners who like to tank

They reversed the mid slot switch and just gave the skiff an extra low

Since I am a fellow miner, can i Procurer your unwanted mining items? It would be such a waste to let them just lie there unloved and unused.

But as for gankers, meh...they are a part of this game as us miners, just roll with the punches and keep on mining.

@ the OP, the miners in my corp regard getting ganked as part of the "running costs" of a mining op. The effort to protect a fleet generally was not worth the lost income. This is changing in the summer patch.

New procurer looks good.

It is way faster and has double drone bay and more drone damage.

Plus a bit more mining ability.

More targets and a longer targeting range. Less resolution apparently so people do not start building extra cheap combat ships out of them.

Ore hold the same size. Smaller sig so harder to hit. Tiny bit more CPU.

AFAIK slots are not changing.

This was the initial proposed changes, have not heard it changed greatly:

By the way the pilot who would be running this has near perfect drone skills :D

Even if they don't target you, it would provide good defense to fellow miners who may be in weaker ships. Usually when I'm on my industrial alt and I'm bored I throw weird fits out there in attempt to bait a suicide gank to see if I can live long enough to either pick up an easy kill, or they get concorded.

I actually once fitted a hulk with 1 strip miner and 2 nuets, and enough tank to survive a full 19 second gank from a solo catalyst. I got a bite, had one Catalyst completely nueted out and survived with 10% armour left. 2 easy kills :D Granted I have most of the relevant shield skills to V, and shield inplants and this probably won't work with someone who didn't bother, but that's what I do for fun on my industrialist :D

Im no miner but I really like the Proc

Even though Im pro-Code Im still in favour of the proposed changes too.

The only downside is that these will probably continue to drive its price up even further, but then that will be good for some folk too.

Procurers are stupidly cheap due to a massive oversupply dating back forever... they sell for 15 mill or so whilst they cost 20 mill plus to make. Its one of the few ships where T2 fits can cost as much as the hull.

If they end up mining at the same rate as a retriever they will become very viable if you are loading directly into an Orca. Especially with some fleet boosts to the tank.

I know, it's going to be ridiculous. In decent numbers they'll even be hard to awox in thanks to the bonused drones.
