If it is so difficult to fix lags or CCP can't afford better equipment and programs why don't they make it a part of game? For example, if too many ships enter a system, something bad happens. i don't know.... For example all players receive a warning that the sun will blow up in a minute and if they won't leave all ships will be destroyed. It will be fair and predictable, all parts will be able to use it in their tactics, no blaming each other of cheap methods and lousy victories. It won't take CCP much time to do it while they are looking for a better solution.

An appeal to all players deactivating their accounts and/or supporting this thread: Contract me your stuff.

Furthermore, I think that links must be removed from the game.

If anyone wants to contract me your stuff, I'll be sure to use them to still put a hurt on your enemies in your absence.

So you are basically suggesting that with this proposed mechanics you would have jumped 2.5k characters in lets say noobships to a system with PL/N3 super/cap fleet in bubbles and all ships in that system should be destroyed within 1 minute unless they GTFO? Am I getting it right? Lol

Someone point o a single server anywhere on the planet that they think could have handled the magnitude of idiocy the Russians/CFC tried to pull in HED-GG.

Also, the idea of up to half of 0.0 population disappearing would be pretty legitimately best for new eden as it will free up room for even moderate sized entities to carve out some 0.0 for themselves. Instead of a few major blocks and status quo, we'll have a dynamic and more varied 0.0 with loads of separate borders and entities.

Maybe a whole new land rush from empire really is what eve could use.

Oh these sweet, sweet tears.

Instead of whining with puppy faces at CCP, maybe you should just adapt (or die).

Years ago:
Titans overpowered? Goons: Nerf them.
Supercarriers overpowered? Goons: Nerf them.

A few months ago:
Carriers overpowered? Goons: Nerf them.
Drone assist overpowered? Goons: Nerf them.

Today:
TIDI OVERPOWERED? OMG NERF TIDI

Mission hubs probably will be have bigger effect.
You have my support.

This is not about reimbursement - it is about FIXING issue by CCP.
Thing that happened in HED will be in every station or important system starting from now on.

Capitals and supers are broken - when it comes to current capabilities of EVE servers.
900 n3 capitals and supers that was in HED can be only responded with a bigger fleet - and EVE just proved that it is not ready for this.
CCP have to be aware that this is not some issue that might show up in the future but something that IS happening right now.

this is a good post which almost drowns in the slander and drivel from one specific side.

It gets right at the core of the problem, which is not sov: it’s that once a critical mass of caps/scpas/titans is assembled in one place, the required counter would be too much to crash the server. Therefore such a capital blob is pretty much invincible with the current game performance restraints. Great game design!

Critical mass applies to subcap blobs as well. By cramming 3000 Domis into a system nobody will be able to jump in enough ships to counter them without blackscreening.

Blaming capitals is nonsense, an excuse used by a coalition that won't counter properly. (Cynoing 300 Dreads AT ZERO on 900 capitals after jumping 1000+ subcaps into system is NOT out you counter!)

Yeah 3000 domis right. Only that nobody can amount that number of BS, not even the CFC. Whereas the full N3PL cap fleet easily breaks the critical mass where it can't be countered reasonably. Not even on the super duper jita node. Let alone a normal node.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

And actually. CCP has done a great job fixing lag. Please show me a game where you can have over 2k players in the same place without the game going WTF BBQ.

CCP is fixing lag, but you fucktards just keep clustering in more pilots until it breaks again.

I think everyone agrees that this problem needs fixing but just a few reminders:

1- EVE already has the most advanced gaming hardware on the planet.

2- No other game in history ever saw the number of players interacting together on the same grid.

3- Solutions such as limit the number the players are ignorant at best and moronic at worst. For instance if I had a a certain number of pilots (the max the system can accept) I will literally have the power to defend every system I have regardless of enemy numbers or strategy. Even limits that do not break the game, strategically chocks the meta and greatly reduces the creativity in the sandbox.

There is no simple solution, if there was one it would have been implemented, after all those fights are the bread and butter of EVE. Yes this needs to be fixed so EVE as a game can progress to a new level, but it is already the best at what it does, threatening to unsubscribe and then blow jita up is just being whiny (never thought I'd call a bunch of Russians that, please don't cut my electricity). The expectation you possessed was simply too high, and you are holding this as an excuse for your loss. Just losing those 7 towers without noticing is enough to justify losing the whole system. We all hoped and wished this fight could be more, but to realistically expect more is just wishful thinking.

We are going to withstand losing all of our sov again and again and again without losing 1% of our members, but we are going to quit and whine because laaaag (which was very much expected, and please don't throw that we expected the node to crash bullshit, because that strategy is lame, and thank god it didn't happen).

HTFU (another thing I never imagined saying to a bunch of russians).

3. Ranting is prohibited.

A rant is a post that is often filled with angry and counterproductive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and is helpful in development of the game and community. Rants are disruptive, and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise and clear manner while avoiding going off on rambling tangents.

5. Trolling is prohibited.

Trolling is a defined as a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting other players in an attempt to incite retaliation or an emotional response. Posts of this nature are disruptive, often abusive and do not contribute to the sense of community that CCP promote.

22. Post constructively.

Negative feedback can be very useful to further improve EVE Online provided that it is presented in a civil and factual manner. All users are encouraged to honestly express their feelings regarding EVE Online and how it can be improved. Posts that are non-constructive, insulting or in breach of the rules will be deleted regardless of how valid the ideas behind them may be. Users are also reminded that posting with a lack of content also constitutes non-constructive posting.
