Introduce an Improvised Explosive Device that does AoE damage upon ship destruction, uses cargohold space as fitting resource, and is permanently attached to a hull. For bonus fun, make it appear like a cargohold of robotics to cargo scanners.

An exotic EWAR that deploys like a bubble, where any pod destroyed in the AOE has the 'soul' rerouted to a near by titan with an active clone bay in the 'collector's' fleet. Rather than the person waking up in a station, he is ejected out of the titan without a pod.

Why Bastion units and new Mobile structures with reinforce ability are working without Stroncium Clarates? Where is balance? Why old modules and structures needed some fuel and new are able to work just on "holy spirit"? Space elves and interstellar magic again?
