This thread inspired me to go try some null PvE. Fun? Yes. Profitable? Well, let's just say that I've lost more than one of these: http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/67868-Ishtar-All-In-One-Low-Sec-and-Null-Ninja-Explorer.html#loadout

So, yeah. I think from a pure isk/hr perspective, high sec is still better, at least for me. Goonswarm got a couple of juicy kills out of me, so at least I made someone's day.

I dont have much faith in Star Citizen also. See what happened when someone tried to make a GTA MMORPG (APB). It's a noble idea from chris roberts but it's too big of a project for him. Maybe if he had Rockstar by his side helping with development...

If im wrong though it will hoard half internet in there Lol

APB isn't a bad game per se. It just crashes a lot and should have been F2P from the start.

That is a damn good summation of the people trying to keep the status quo.

BTW your Greater Western Co-Prosperity Sphere is not really getting many people. PB is pretty aweful.

In the interests of accuracy, they've rented all bar 6 of the 60 or so they have in Vale of the Silent, and are extracting 95%+ of the possible rental value of Vale because all the highbands went immediately.

They have also rented 2 of the 4 high band systems that I noticed, and two of the second-from-top band systems in PB, so even at current occupancy, they are already extracting a useful proportion of the available rent value in PB. ie if they are at 10% occupancy they are protably sitting at 30% or more of the possible rent.

From a largish corp perspective, that means that PB is actually a tight supply already, because there is only 1 station highband left (rhat I noticed).

I'd imagine that _ratting_ in a PB highband would be pretty sweet. Some of the exploration encounters are obviously hard.

Yeah. Anyone can actually see the publicly available list of systems up for rent

They are not escaping Goons, but EvE.

EvE so far has been the only MMO choice for SCI-FI spaceships lovers. But those fans come from all sorts of backgrounds, including those who love SCI-FI a la Star Trek and many others, where there's all sorts of adventures and situations but not with the added weight of a completely unrealistic:

- unregulated society

- lack of basic tools. You would guess in some thousands years some bright scientist would have invented a self clicking directional scanner, don't you? And what about say a market window that is firmly stuck at 1980 grade tools?

- immortality (some SCI-FI books include that) but also immortality through body destruction. That is at the source of many less than plausible effects, like this "immortal capsuleers" background that leads to all sorts of breach of suspension of belief.

- many like SCI-FI because they read Asimov, Bradbury and so on and not a street smarts book about how to best backstab your best friend. Those will give SC a try.

At the same time, SC does NOT cater to a lot of EvE players, so I don't see a problem at having two nice games running aside.

I should make a guide probably.

You should be virtually impossible to catch if:

1. You have a cov ops alt to jump gates
2. Warp to site, make a bm 1 mill from site during warp.
3. Warp immediately to bm and cloak if anyone comes in system (even if you don't see probes they may have probed it out beforehand)
4. Have your scout set up for hacking. If you're being camped or had to cloak because someone is in system go do some hacking on alt.

I got camped in a few times meanwhile I was hacking can and 6 people were twiddling thumbs thinking they were wasting my time.

I will second that and would appreciate it very much.

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

You think you're the 1st one to ninja rat/plex in EVE that people need a new guide for it? lulz.. A couple hundred people have already beat you to it.

The people that don't take risks aren't going to ninja anything for any reason. The people inclined to ninja already (explorers) are either already doing it of have done it and are doing something else.

Most people ninja with tech3s or drone ships like ishtars (many will use the hell out of the new SOE cruiser). Pro ninjas actually don't ninja, they SQUAT with 3 toons and a cloaky carrier as a base (though some will find a way to use the new deployables). I have yet to lose my "invasion" carrier, though lately I've found that Black Ops squatting is much easier (a BLOPs can go into a cyno jammed system, and use gates if you muck it up and forget to pack enough fuel).

While it's amusing to see someone who speaks like a rookie think they discovered some pro new way to do things (look at me y'all, I'm the 1st to bookmark a safespot!!!), You're still not trying to understand the whys and wherefores of the situation or why your base beliefs are wrong.

Yeah I'll do what I like. Take your oversized ego and your silly hater attitude somewhere else.

And if your such a "Pro" why did I have to tell you how to get a structure in a complex to retarget something else so it'd stop repping armor?...

Standard reply from someone who thinks they know more than they do. Are you sure you're not actually my 16 year old daughter just trying to troll daddy.

My oversized ego? Am i the one who invaded sov space single handedly then posted about it. Am i the one posting about "gee, everyone is doing it wrong, I'm a great ninja ratter. Am i the one posting in the features and ideas section lecturing professional game makers about making video games?

Go ahead, use the search function, show everyone here where I started a thread where I proclaimed that I was awesome and everyone else sucked lol. Paris Hilton is less of an attention whore than you are lol.

What you just did was call a kettle black, and among other things that's racist!

And the last part is epic. You know you're using an exploit when you get an overseer to switch targets, right?
