cant patch launcher or direct

Got it working for me!

Go into the Bin folder and run the "exefile.exe" in admin.

It will bypass the launcher and update properly.

NOT the exe file in the main directory....the one in the BIN folder.



EDIT: Nevermind.........it only got so far before not working either......damit

Backup backup backup...redundancy redundancy redundancy.

Your livelihood is based upon keeping a service operating. think ahead and have redundancy so you swap over when 1 piece of equipment fails. that way the paying customer isn't shafted :) Just a thought.

this did not work for me, i had to run the repair inbetween.

Netflix is a good example of this. They have their wonderful ChaosMonkey process that has trained their engineers to expect failures, and honestly to even expect failures that are otherwise practically impossible without the process. As a result, the service has something like a 99.99% uptime.

Hey, I was starting the client and didn't get the client to find any update on the server. Now, I'm with the cool kids, at the 15% thing, only after playing with the repair tool a few times. Cool socks.

And that is why I'm watching Kiss of the Damned on Netflix right now and not playing EVE Online. Ugh

Easy fix, open "C:\program files (x86)\ccp\eve\bin\exefile.exe"

I just managed to get back in so hopefully a fix has been implemented. Launcher went through a validating client stage and then completed update.

I worked at Dillard's (department store) and anytime they were rolled out a patch, they first ran it concurrently in a select system to ensure it would not bring down the company. also, if something went wrong, they ALWAYS had redundancy to quickly remedy
