Goddamnit CCP! Either fix this crap of a launcher or rip it off from the game! Animated in-game log-in screen was so cool, why the hell did you replaced it with this ****? (Pardon my French)

OK since i cant post (something about html) it here is my problem. i can t log in at all w/ all your repair this and down load that .it was fine about a month ago (since i update my games even if i m not playing atm). other than that i had to log in safe mode about a year ago now nothing i have uninstalled 5x and reloaded it and all i get is an error pretty much like everyone else nice way of telling me you rly didn't want me to use the the 5 days thing and this is 2x this has happend like i said earlier i had to use the safe mode and that doesn't even work now .




After looking again why don't you just have a {launch game }from your account page since it might have less of "its on Your end and you need" type responses i play a lot of mmo s and after a bit of thinking i have never had to g2 their forums to figure out why i cant play

This is due to the way that Windows handles proxy servers; I believe there is a way to modify proxy settings without IE installed, but I'm not sure of the specifics. IE modifies the systems proxy settings, and as such every application that connects to the internet is dependent upon it; no one intentionally builds upon IE.

I've been having problems with the launcher today. I'm using a MacBook Pro and have had similar issues before where I'd get en error message saying "EVE Online Launcher Exception" and "An Unexpected Error Occurred." I got around it before reinstalling the eve-premium...mac.dmg file and that seemed to do the trick. This time, it didn't work. The launcher .zip file mentioned here doesn't work on a Mac.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated!

Update: I reinstalled a second time and it seems to have done the trick (so far). Downloading patches & updates at the moment. Hopefully I'll be able to login without further issues.

Update #2: I was able to login after the second install. Just now the issue is that when I login I immediately get an error message--something about a lost "socket connection." So I try again, but this time it tells me I'm not connected to the Internet, which isn't true because otherwise I couldn't be on the Forums right now complaining about it. Don't know what the issue is, but it's extremely frustrating to say the least.

Update #3: Now the launcher only works when it feels like it. If I'm lucky enough for it to pop up, I click Play and then....NOTHING happens. The launcher window disappears and the game just shuts down before it even launches. I'm beginning to think that the problem now lies both on CCP's end and on my own. Something must have gone haywire with the launcher and reinstalling it maybe simply screwed it up even more. It was frustrating before. Now it's maddening.

Anyone,,,HELP !?

From 2 dys I try to install EVE on new xp OS installation, and I have this error :

archive extraction failed 1003

No matter what i do. I try online and offline installer (many times) ..and more link's that i found online. Now... i try another repair tools that seems to download again the patch.

That archive extraction error means that the download was corrupted whilst you tried to download it.

How about a response to my issues? The fixes recommended here aren't compatible on a Mac with OS X, for one thing.

The bigger question now is why a reinstall would prevent the launcher from launching the game at all? Something is seriously wrong here, and I'd appreciate a response.

I'm not sure I understand your post. If you can evemail me your logs, or post them to http://pastebin.com/, and link them to me, I might be able to diagnose your problem.

Do you have a zombie Launcher process running? The first logs says it can't get permission to the file, which could be due to a dead process hanging around.
