Launcher not working? - LOOK HERE

Just curious, not loading the login screen and missing the log off button, are "features" or misshaps? Can someone answer?

If you can, copy the logs to pastebin or similar. It would be good to see where the process is going wrong.

Could you update your client to version 538542? Otherwise you're gonna get a "incorrect protocol" error and won't be able to log in.

The login that is in the EVE Launcher is intended to bypass the login screen. For the time being, if you want to feel nostalgic, you can start the underlying game client by starting the ExeFile.exe directly, located in the bin folder in your EVE client, but note that this won't be supported forever.

As for the Log Off button, wasn't it more of a quit-and-restart button? If so then it's probably a part of the design. The token you generate when you log in is passed to the EVE client and if it restarted it would attempt to reuse the same token to log in with, which by then has timed out.

I understand that this has come as a surprise, and for that I apologise; we're working to improve the experience and you'll hopefully see fixes and such rolling out over the next days and weeks.

Im having a hard time believing you guys can't recreate this in house ccp, considering EVERY LAST ONE OF YOUR PLAYERS is having the problem.

That's a Templar, an Amarr fighter used by carriers.

I resolved my launcher issues in 30 seconds.

If CCP tech support are making fun of most of you, they would have every right to do so.

What is this? 1993 with boot disks and EMM386 command line modifications. I think its 2013 and the expectation is that most PC games should work as reliably as a console game for most users.

I mean it works fine for me, but I'm still mad at the notion that PC games have to always be troublshot by the user for lack of a effort on the QA deptarment.

I don't buy EA games anymore because of the Total War bugs.

Yeah, I hate this thing already.

It was simpler to open multiple accounts with the old method. This thing takes up more time to get my game started.

I logged into Eve perfectly after applying the patch... didn't even blink...

I assume that by saying "every last one" you mean those among you that use Windows...

As a Mac user, I did not have a single issue and the patch works fine...
