EVEMon is a wonderful tool. I can't live with out it hehe :P But it should have the possibility to export in xml fittings to import in Eve. It would be the best!

Thanks for your comments but EVEMon does not have a fitting tool (yet).

Ever since a windows (XP) update yesterday, my EVEMon dies hideously on start. The window borders are drawn, at best, and then Windows wants to report a crash.

Nuking the settings or reinstalling looks like it fixes it until I go into the file menu, at which point it immediately crashes again in the same manner.

I haven't seen anything on the official forums that looks similar (in nature or timing) to what I'm experiencing and the way it appeared definitely makes it look like EVEMon has become allergic to whatever changes were brought on by the system update (or vice versa), and before I go off and badger the devs there, I'm kind of wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing starting very recently?

Seeing the crash report would give me an insight on the cause. My wild guess is that your .NET installation got corrupted by the update. Try this and if it's not helping report back with as many info you can at the EVEMon forums.

Just an update.
EVEMon development will be continued by the EVEMon Development Team but it will come in a much slower timeframe than we used to.

On the Linux/MacOS front.
Looks like Wine 1.4.1 has finally made its way in fully supporting .NET 4 and EVEMon 1.7.2 has been tested and runs on it successfully (proof).
Edit: (Evil EVE forum) When you get to WineHQ site remove 'amp;' from the address to navigate to the proper page.
Edit 2: Looking at the change logs of WineHQ, version 1.4.1 may not be the one that supports .NET 4 but 1.5.5+.

Just wanted you guys to know that you have a fantastic tool here. I started Eve about a week ago and had no clue what skills I should train up as a miner/refiner. I like the fact that I can make a full plan and see how far I've advanced toward that plan without having to log into EVE.

Thanks again!

+1 Great tool to introduce new players to the concept of proper skill training. I hope you guys manage to continue developing it.

Hello,

CCP Sreegs has today stated that he finds the "scraping" of local files to be illegal. Read here.

Could you please take it out in a future release so we can use EVEMon with CCP's full consent again?

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

CCP Sreegs isn't CCP and until CCP releases an official statement on the matter, no actions will be taken from our side.

And for the record, scrapping the cache file doesn't violate the EULA as it doesn't change anything on the client. When/If CCP adds that to the EULA, we'll see to it that we get in line.

It is not relevant to me who is what. I have turned it off but would rather have an option to turn off only the local disk part, but keep forwarding the data from the EVE API to EVE Central.

If you could implement this on a feature-request basis then I'd be thankful, but it is up to you if you want to make a stance on this.

For that you need to contact the EVE Central dev and ask him to implement a feature where you give EVE Central an API key with access to your market data directly (just like the Killboards sites do). Why should EVEMon (or any other app) be the middle man for that?

I did. They said EVEMon would be the tool for this. I am not joking.
