The meme that CCP has a perennial “drive people out of high-sec” dilema is just a pile of bull feces. Come on that is a myth thats repeated over & over again by NULL trolls in hopes CCP starts believeing in it.

The only more moronic/tedious myth is James 315's UNABOMBEReske manifestos on how mining is the scurge of all Eve.

Also it appears from the way this thread is moving the general lack of CSM represtation of pilots in HI SEC is lacking

I do agree with his signature though...

EVE residents: 5% Wormholes; 8% Lowsec; 20% Nullsec; 67% Highsec. CSM 6: 100% Nullsec residents. EVE demographics vs CSM demographics, nothing to worry about...

Why would we value peoples opinions on EVE if they don't care enough to vote?

Because the game isn't all nul sec. An outreach campaign to everyone else in high sec might be worthwhile just to make the CSM a little more balanced. Otherwise, the very function the CSM is supposed to focus on is never executed, as the playerbase is not represented, just the nul-bears.

As far as I'm concerned, this CSM does not represent Eve, it represents selfish interest groups.

CSM 6 was so 2011.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

This may have escaped you but goons are not just a null sec group. All of EVE is our playground and a healthy high sec is in our interests too.

rofl , you, Mr. "if it doesn't affect me it ain't bad", talking about selfish interests.

The CSM is null sec heavy because null sec residents care enough about the game to vote, they don't need "outreach" lol. The idea that ccp has to do something special to get high sec residents to vote is a good indication of the quality of high sec residents.

And a signfigant portion of high sec votes for those null sec csm members, because a signifigant portion of those high sec residents are merely working alts of null sec players to begin with. In military terms, null sec is the point of the spear, high sec is just the support shaft (so don't get mad when you get "shafted").

Destruction of ships in null (and low and WHs, and to a much lesser extent, smaller ships going pop in high sec) is what drives the EVE economy.

Why people playing solo (in an mmo), casual (in a hard core centric game) in high sec (the protected space with the lowest rewards that the DEVS keep trying to drive people out of) who don't even care to vote think they should have representation in the CSM ...Well, i'll never understand it.

Be that as it may, a perspective and voice of a high sec player isn't and shouldn't be discounted.

Wait a minute, so it's some how some grand conspiracy by "null sec" (20% of the characters in EVE) against high sec that makes the csm null sec heavy?

It' couldn't possibly be that high sec residents (real ones, not the null sec alts lol) just don't give much of a damn or play enough to care in the 1st place. No, it must be null sec.

So it isn't representative, I know. My point is that the CSM is supposed to be the voice of the player base, a representative one, but it isn't.

What is it with this attitude? So what if they want to solo? So what if they're casual? And so what if they wanna be in high sec? When it comes down to it, money is money. They're subscription is no better or worse than yours. As such, they DO deserve representation.

I'd leave hisec, if you stopped posting. Nullsec provides a lot of the player driven storyline that Eve is famous for, James315 seems to be trying to do the same for hisec while having a bit of fun setting himself up as a Dr Ebil style despot.

I used to be proud to be a carebear, with the ever increasing whines about anything not carebear related I'm rapidly becoming disillusioned with the carebear lifestyle, oh well time to start posting on FHC again so I can be counted along with the bittervets, at least their moans are entertaining.

The CSM like politics is theoretically meant to be representative of the people, in reality it's not, the same holds true in the real world, the rich, powerful & charismatic get to be politicians, the rest of us get urinated on in the pursuit of power.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
