Can we have security status of systems / constilations / regions drop when an incursion happens there?

Some temporarly <= 0.4 systems which were > 0.4 before would make me cheer all day long.

Well I'm convinced.

Change the entire game CCP because this individual appears to be inconvenienced by the shenanigans of some gankers.

I think the real question is this.

Why when I go into a mission, and these NPC pirates attack me, there is no response from concord! This is unacceptable! They are there to protect me but they let these flashy red pirates attack me all day long!!

There's a difference between a good-sport noob and a butt-hurt noob. I believe the OP is of the latter category.

I have a lover, her name is EVE. I see her every night and all she asks in return is that I have a pilot's license.

I have a better idea. Undock with a turret in your hi-slot: BAAAM CONCORD!

Seriously tho, if you target someone you can also shoot instantly, so how would your plan change anything for ganking?

Actually, to show there's no hard feelings at all, I can set up a ship with multiple laser crystals so he dies whilst being warmed by a glorious rainbow of love.

I bet the very notion of true safety in Eve runs counter to CCP's vision of the game.

It might well do that, but it still does not make my comment any less true.

This has been my experience with the risk-averse highsec dweller: they join the game, they really get into missions or industry or whatever it is that catches their interest, and they do it for 12-18 months. Around that time they start peaking. They're down to training long level 5 skills for weeks on end and are looking at months between adding new ships to their rosters. They've been isk-grinding the same way for more than a year, and they start asking "what now?" The problem is they've so thoroughly conditioned themselves to avoiding losses that PVP seems out of the question.

In the end, most of those people are gone in two years' time. The long-term subscriptions come from people who play competitively and participate in PVP. We're the ones running multiple accounts for scouts or cynos or logistics. We're the ones Generating the stories of intrigue and betrayal that keep Eve in the gaming press. We're the guys who keep coming back.

You say they would keep more subscriptions if they were to curb ganking. I say most gank victims who leave the game would have left within a year anyway.

I hear they already have neutral remote-reps and off-grid boosters.

I dont AFK mine. You still can get ganked easily in high sec and sit and watch the show.

Just because Concord is that way now does not mean it has to stay that way.

I bet CCP would keep alot more active subscriptions with some form of safety, somewhere in the game.

This is just a suggestion as to how that could/should happen.

I don't think they are looking for a lot more active subscriptions.

I would say they are making a game for players to sandbox and not have their hand held.

You should do something about it instead of complaining.

i Mine, i also mission, i dabble in the market. i also PvP, and not the involuntary kind.

As has already been said here, EvE is NOT a safe area, ANYWHERE. fit a tank to everything that cost Isk, learn to use those items, AND FOR GOODNESS SAKE TURN THEM ON!

learn these things and EvE will become more fun than you can think of.

i have been ganked before, i'll be ganked again i know. but i have also done the ganking in the past, and will again in the future.

otherwise... your stuff, i haz it please?

CCP please remove the ability to do anything afk. We cant afk probe, We can afk mission (effectively), We cant afk gatecamp, We cant afk gank, We cant afk text pvp in local.

It is truly unfair for solo players to have this type of advantage over the rest of the playerbase.

This must be fixed.

Signatures wer cooler when we couldn't remove them completely.

I haven't read the thread yet but I shall later. However, thanks Osirus Bayne for removing my valid game play of living in low sec because you want to remove the valid game play of ganking in high sec.

If you want safety OP it comes in the form of an autocannon I suggest you use it before your enemy uses his on you. Pirate

Welcome to Eve. Everyone here is an Evil Sick Sadistic Bastard who is out to get you. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either trying to scam you or use you.

I posted this in the Dev blog but thought at page 44 it may not get read. So I made this thread to remedy that.

I like the new changes to the mining barges specifically.

I am not sure, that it will solve the ganking issue in high sec though.

I would suggest a slight modification to the current security status levels. Anyone can get ganked in 1.0 just as easy as in 0.5 atm which seems a little wrong IMO.

Why even have a sec status rating for these systems. You might as well just give it 3 statuses.

2.0 High sec
1.0 low sec
0.0 null sec

With the current system why not add advanced aggression from Concord and belt patrols for 1.0-0.8 space. You try and lock someone, you get a warning....you choose to actually lock them, Concord attacks you.

0.7-0.5 you can lock them, but you fire and you get Concorded. No belt patrols, but still patrols at gates and Stations.

0.4-0.1 Concord will respond eventually, so time for the ganker to retreat.

Null sec....well stays null sec.

The above are just a basic layout to make the security system actually mean more in the game. Just an idea. It does need to be looked at though and I would welcome any change at all. My idea is just an example.

The potential for people quitting the game will go down significantly.

The old heads wont quit because they cant gank folks in 1.0 systems anymore, but I am sure relatively new players have quit from being ganked after they spent all their hard earned isk just to lose it 10 minutes later to a ganker prick.

Risk vs reward comes into play as the more rare and expensive ore would be located in the lower sec systems.

I should not be getting evemail from a Goon saying I have to pay him for protection to mine in HIGH sec space.

Cops do not wait for a bank robber to execute their hostage before storming in to take said robber down. They send in the SWAT team at the first available opportunity. Security guards are there to prevent a crime, not exact retribution after the fact.

I saw your other post on page 43 asking for milk, cookies and bedtime stories to be read by actual CCP employees to you whilst mining in high sec. I believe they are meeting you halfway with a new audio UI, with a drop down of ambient sound choices once u land in the belt, including such relaxations as 'babbling brook', and 'majestic waterfall'.

OP is just madbro bc CCP already said no that, and the OP's 3rd enhancement request on page 42, asking if his Night elf Mohawk could be used in Dust.
