Way to play the "meta-game" guys.

I think some of the complainers should seriously "Win at EvE".

So I am sympathetic to the idea of replacement candidate to take his seat. Not sure how that would work but some sort of election for a new chair?

All in all, sad turn of events.

It's actually laid out in the original CSM white paper. If you'd made the effort to work with the rest of the CSM rather than spend your time attempting to score quick political points at their expense, you'd know this already......

I agree completely, this one was pretty straight forward and we should have heard from each CSM member as they got home ect.. condemning it. Not a we will get back to you in a few days message. Why does the world believe that because you are elected we should expect less of people not more.

Has anyone considered that Alex's behavior was so clearly reprehensible that it seemed silly to need to go ON THE RECORD! with such immediacy, especially when this has nothing to do with CSM7, and it has nothing to do with us individually?

Many of us weren't at fanfest, Alex only represented himself in his actions, CCP makes the ultimate the call regarding ToS and EULA stuff, and the CSM7 doesn't even exist yet.

There's just no reason for anyone to go around castigating the CSM7 candidates who haven't even taken office for not coming out and making a dog and pony show out of their piety. I think it's both tedious and unnecessary to expect that each one of us individually affirms that every inappropriate act is indeed inappropriate, and frankly I consider it one of our responsibilities as CSM members to learn all the information we can about a situation before we start pointing the finger at each other publicly.

Ok personally I really don't see the need to continue this but I will respond to this dreg.

You are saying that as people voted in a representatives of EVE you believe you should be quiet at things that are "clearly reprehensible" and should not comment during a crisis. As for nothing to do with the CSM, he didn't do it as the CSM chairman but he was the CSM6 chairman and about to be made the chairman for the CSM 7, so yes I would definitely say it was concerning the CSM, when their chairman is acting with "behavior was so clearly reprehensible". As to individually it would have been a good thing to show that you are a body of individuals capable of independent thought.

But yet you have poked fingers at other CSM members independently of the CSM just not your former chairman, for what you claim was inappropriate behavior.

She's still not going to sleep with you. You're obviously batshit insane.

Is that the one that is outdated and still says 9 CSM's go to Iceland and 4 alternates. I haven't seen one for the new layout please give me a link.

Me too because it means every hisec random pvp trade hub ganking corp in eve will be able to wardec goonswarm for free when INFERNO hits :)

sigh you do know that the cost to wardec an alliance is like 50m plus 500k isk per alliance member look at test that's going to cost about 3.2b a week. good luck, you're going to need it.

Learn to play eve (and read the wardec devblog properly.)

In inferno it will be possible for the defender in a wardec to invite "allies" into the war for free.

Say Goonswarm dec Isslers alliance that will cost goonswarm (whatever) 500k per member per week.

But she can invite (pay) mercs to join the war and they will pay NOTHING.

Hence having a permawar against Issler's alliance will potentially give any hisec hub ganker corp in eve the chance to get involved in that as long as Issler (or whoever leads her alliance) fancies making the invite.

Seriously Issler. This is not a war you're going to win. In the words of my father who was a diplomat for the Gallente Federation;

"It is easier to argue in public and seek the approval of many. Than it is to converse in private and seek the approval of one."

The one or few people you need to really get along with here is your CSM members.

I'm not a miner nor an industrialist so it doesn't affect me if you get booted. But you worked soooooo hard to get on the CSM to help improve the gameplay in these areas. Please stop arguing here in public and try to work on improving relations with the other CSM members.

Thanks for that advice. You might have noticed I haven't been arguing in this thread for a while now. I made my opinion clear as I was asked to do. My only regret and I've shared this with the CSM is that I should have made it clear that I was stating MY views and left it up to the other CSM to comment or not. It was wrong of me to call for their action in a manner that may not have been their choosing and I've apologized to the CSM 7 members on Skype.

The way I messaged this wasn't fair to the other CSM 7. It is their choice to communicate to the player base in whatever manner they like. The folks in the CSM 7 that had issues with me in this thread felt that had responded in other threads and some where still catching up from fanfest.

In the future I'll still "speak my mind" as I think I was elected to do but I'll make it clear it is "my" mind and not the other CSM and I have promised to include the other CSM in discussions of any significant issues before making any major statements.

This was a very unusual situation and particular aspects of this were just "too close to home" for me not to have spoken out like I did. So I stand by that, but I won't be dragging other CSM into it the way I did this time in the future.

It is for them to communicate however they choose.

I have to say I think it was refreshing to hear Issler say something about this.

The issue here wasn't what the CSM as a body thought of what Mittani had done. This was purely an individual character assessment. The fact that they had to come out as an organisation to say something about it doesn't say anything about them as people at all.

At least we know where Issler stands on it.
