Small gangs of carriers. On gates, being remote sebo'ed. Safe in the knowledge that they won't get hot dropped. Waiting for high sec scrubs to come through because they think that this change will make things better. I can't wait. This will be the age of the Carrier gate camp and blap dread local defense fleet.

Yeah they don't get how you asshats work do they ? Have any work for an industrialist :P WTF did we train all of our jump skills to after all ? This is similar to the NGE they did for SWG. I already unsubbed to get away from the stupidity that continues on with the dev group.

Intended, no, probably not. Caused, yes.

Then again, they do play off of the "HOLY **** x THOUSAND PEOPLE IN A SINGLE SYSTEM ALL FIGHTING EACHOTHER" or "x TRILLION ISK DAMAGE CAUSED IN ONE EPIC FIGHT" card, so I guess you could say that their inaction has been because they intended to use that as advertisement, and now they might finally be seeing the error of their ways.

Yes there is truth in that.
But at the same time i dont think they meant null to be stale dead and borring.
I would think they would of wanted to have a win-win.
Instead of a win-loss situation.
Imagine if the news of nullsec being stale dead and boring got picked up by the media and they linked that to ccp trying to make their game seem more interesting in the media at the exspense of player enjoyment.
That doesnt sound like good advertisement to me.

I'm fairly certain what you're looking at is probably a mixture of CCP loving the press the big fights get them, CCP not keeping up with what's happening, and when they started to look at it they hit a wall of "oh holy **** our code is terrible we can't fix this easily".

And with that, unintended consequences have lead us to the current situation.

Yeah, except no. The Blue Butthole of Stagnation led to this. Look in a mirror for blame.

Personally I went with no, as I don't agree with the change in its current form. If it was less harsh then I would vote yes.

I have removed some rule breaking posts and those quoting them. As always I let some edge cases stay.
Please people, keep it on topic and above all civil!

The Rules:
3. Ranting is prohibited.

A rant is a post that is often filled with angry and counterproductive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and is helpful in development of the game and community. Rants are disruptive, and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise and clear manner while avoiding going off on rambling tangents.

4. Personal attacks are prohibited.

Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts that are designed to personally berate or insult another forum user. Posts of this nature are not beneficial to the community spirit that CCP promote and as such they will not be tolerated.

5. Trolling is prohibited.

Trolling is a defined as a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting other players in an attempt to incite retaliation or an emotional response. Posts of this nature are disruptive, often abusive and do not contribute to the sense of community that CCP promote.

12. Discussion of forum moderation is prohibited.

The discussion of EVE Online forum moderation actions generally leads to flaming, trolling and baiting of our ISD CCL moderators. As such, this type of discussion is strictly prohibited under the forum rules. If you have questions regarding the actions of a moderator, please file a support ticket under the Community & Forums Category.

27. Off-topic posting is prohibited.

Off-topic posting is permitted within reason, as sometimes a single comment may color or lighten the tone of discussion. However, excessive posting of off-topic remarks in an attempt to derail a thread may result in the thread being locked, or a forum warning being issued to the off-topic poster.

31. Abuse of CCP employees and ISD volunteers is prohibited.

CCP operate a zero tolerance policy on abuse of CCP employees and ISD volunteers. This includes but is not limited to personal attacks, trolling, “outing” of CCP employee or ISD volunteer player identities, and the use of any former player identities when referring to the aforementioned parties.
Our forums are designed to be a place where players and developers can exchange ideas in a polite and friendly manner for the betterment of EVE Online. Players who attack or abuse employees of CCP, or ISD volunteers, will be permanently banned from the EVE Online forums across all their accounts with no recourse, and may also be subject to action against their game accounts.

Nope. The mechanics lead us to the "blue butthole of stagnation". It was always in the cards, and there's been plenty of people who've been saying for YEARS that we're heading into what we're seeing now (me included, I've been railing for a sov system fix for more than 3 years, probably closer to 4 now).

You can blame the players all you want, but you'll be dead wrong. They're just utilizing the ruleset as far as they can to win. It's CCP's responsibility to make sure the ruleset ensure a lively and vibrant game, not the players'.

Here we go, congrats, all you gonna get is more PASTA like gate camps in null sec, how does this improve chances of smaller alliances to get into sov null?

All this change does is make people jump and go play another game or watch TV while their cool down expires,
do you actually want people play your game or you prefer us to sit in stations and spin while waiting for some timer to expire????

I have highlighted the part which proves that you either don't play this game or are a troll.

Which ever it is, why are you posting in this thread?

Obviously, you are here just creating noise, trying to drown out the sensible answers, trying to shout down CCP by the scale of the negative response.

Why don't you just voice your real objections to these changes? Could they be:

1. Someone told me to bad mouth it.
2. My real objections are self serving and not in the interests of the game.

Killing my game 1 jump at a time. CCp why are you alienating your player base with such changes? I see all these changes will impact on you with loss of subscriptions. Do what you want you normally do , 30% of you eve revenue to down the drain can you afford that ?

Nope, that would be unbalanced because only Caldari and some Minmatars can then fire Ze Missiles after they've had a nap.

Looking forward to getting this significant set of improvements for Nullsec released!

Big thanks to the whole CSM for their help with this process so far and the good work I know they'll continue to do as we consult with them going forward.

I want to remind people that this is just one step. We're not expecting it to fix everything overnight but it will be a very valuable step forward that we will keep building upon.

you missed out the best part of this "improvement". CCP also fixed a big portion of TiDi issues for the futur.

Indirectly, no they didnt.

With the new cap free zone, the meta will swing hard into the hac/ishtar/bomber/T3 camp. So rather than 30-40 supers you will now be looking at 800-1000 ishtars, all dropping sentries. Tidi is FAR from "fixed" with this update.

If you can't be bothered to provide reliable intel / escort for a new player into you're space, then don't invite them.

If they have to make their way into deep null on their own, your organization is crap in the first place and you have no business inviting newbies into your loser corp.

It's like truck driving: The law says you have to stop and take naps. Same principle applied to internet spaceships. It's so logical, I don't see why they didn't do it sooner....

Small gangs of carriers? Gate-camping with intel channels, awesome idea. Yes you're fine, there won't certainly be a group of guys who'd want and be able to drop on your butts with a few dreads or supers. It's not impossible to drop on guys, just needs more planning and organization.

We're in the age of "don't undock unless you got supers on standby to counterdrop" - I rather see caps used as often as BS and die more often than continue playing boring online. Please just biomass your character, it'll be fun to see you guys around here in a few weeks after your supposedly "unsubbing".

There's a lot of potential fun here to be had, so why not try and discuss with devs on a more "sensible" basis about tweaking the weaknesses of it?
