I can imagine this is what the Devs are thinking right now after spending months developing this new system transition. :)

CCP hasn't disabled space wind with 10 years of requests. Causing most of the playerbase to completely shut off the game's sound. Why do you think they would let you turn off their new pride and joy?

The camera move should definately be optional, all other fancy camera gimmicks (like camera shake) have a toggle, this should not be any different.

If you have trouble with severe fps drops during the jump animation when multiboxing (This is NOT called lag). well I have a feeling you are running too many client allready. I dual box on a really old system (Geforce GTX 260) and I have no problems with it at all. I suggest you run less clients or upgrade your ****.

This, whenever I am just looking at stuff on my OV the camera tracks it! It can get annoying and I'm sure with time I'll get used to it! The jump animations are pretty and all, but the camera movements can be a little excessive!

From new animation me on the present feels sick. Move away her! Both camera rotation too and strip scan.

Then switch off the tracking camera?

when you press C you can activate/deactivate it.

Are you going to provide an option to disable the camera rotation before and AFTER jump? For the first time ever, I am getting ill from a graphic affect. Its not the wormhole tunnel, its the camera rotations. And NO the C key doesn't solve it.

I cant speak for the camera turn BEFORE the jump, but the one after can be turned off by turning off your tracking camera. It works, when I jump through I get the initial cam turn, I go through the tunnel, and when I exit my cam is still pointing in the same direction, there is no turn toward the gate after the jump. If you have tracking cam on you will see the cam rotation after then jump.

Pressing C usually turns tracking cam off, but you may have both options turned on and one is over riding the C command. Check to make sure the tracking cam is off in both your selected item window settings as well as under the directional scan window. If you turn both off, you may have to live with the pre-jump rotation but post jump will not rotate. Hope that helps.

Try jumping more then one gate, the camera goes down down down and end up looking underneath the ship in the end, not where you had the camera.

C does not help with that.

You mean to say that the more you jump the more your camera appears beneath your ship instead of centered on it?

Game developers should have a strong knowledge about how a computer game and computer generated effects, especially in a 3D environment, affect a human in different ways.

It is nothing about how shiny the animation looks or how awesome the new texture is.

Some effects have a strong impact on a human brain.
In this case camera movement and zoom in/out without player interaction but from a personal point of view.

Not all player feel the same way so this will have an effect on like 30% of all players more or less strong of course.

And you guys who call us carebears, whiners, [put in some more] it is clearly that you know nothing about a human brain.

when i have heard about new jump animation first time it was like "what? what progress bar they are speaking about? Shocked".
then i recall it. I've seen this progress bar few times for all my Eve life. Usually i spend 90% of jump time sitting BEFORE the gates waiting for ship starts to jump and getting "Session is already changing" (or something like this). But once i've jumped i have new system instantly.

What do i see after patch? Delay before JUMP still present. Maybe it got little less (cannot comment here). However i've got new lags while this new animation is playing. I've never seen these lags before in jump procedure. I guess this is somehow connected to lags i get when i scroll long Local list from top to bottom. It looks like something gets delayed but then it needs to be done right now and all Eve client freezes to allow it.

Hardware: Ati5780 + Core2Quad 9550, 16MB RAM. So i guess this is not hardware limitation....

To be quite frank...the human brain is still a mystery. Most doctors will agree to this. So I suppose it stands to reason that the possibility exist. Its difficult to predict the unpredictable. However, the way I understood from watching the fanfest stream and hearing them talk about this. The way it is coded in, you either get rid of it or keep it...there isnt any way to make it optional yet. That's not to say its impossible, but if they did, it certainly wouldnt make the point release for Odyssey...more likely winter.

If they didn't have a fallback plan, it shouldn't have been implemented, honestly. What if it had caused 'Incarna-esque' system problems? They couldn't have seen that one coming either, so that's not a valid excuse.

That being said, this gives me incentive to do one of two things: cancel sub (the most likely to get the issue fixed if everyone having a problem does it) or go live in J-space, since wormholers didn't get stuck with this garbage. Or, I guess I could do both for now, since my sub still has two months left on it, even after cancellation.

If I recall correctly from over 10 years ago, isn't our "view" outside our ship (and at all while in it) allowed by so-called "camera drones"? Seems I read that somewhere when the game was still in beta.

I would think that the camera drones would recall to the interior of the ship during a gate jump, so the new jump animation seems a bit unrealistic, even breaking with the canon if you will. I can see the camera drones staying outside during a normal FTL warp due to the warped-space-bubble affecting the ship, but a super-ultra-FTL gate jump? It's not practical, and stretches the fiction a bit.
