Echoing Xyrdiana. I just updated to the latest version and when I launch the application, it fails to start at all, it goes past the splash screen, then just dies miserably with this:

An Unhandled Exception has occured and EVE Isk per Hour will now close.
Please copy the data below for sending to developer.

Source: EVE Isk per Hour
Message: An error occurred creating the form. See Exception.InnerException for details. The error is: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Also, please fill out the following information as appropriate:

This is a sporadic error and I haven't figured out how to reproduce it. It also only happens on some systems and not others. I'll look at it again tonight.

Hmmm, seems since the last update, EVE IPH is crashing every time I try to import the prices. Is it just isolated to me?

Nope, same problem here. (It gets to "Downloading Item Prices" and then just hangs forever.)

Looks like the EVE Central Server is frozen.

I'll see if I can use this opportunity to add some better notification when this happens.

Oh, duh - I should have checked that before posting.

Let me take this opportunity to say how much I'm liking Eve IPH. I've only been using it three or four weeks now, but it's already become an indispensable tool.

Thanks. EVE Central works fine actually, it's the API calls that are failing.

i.e. http://api.eve-central.com/api/marketstat?typeid=34&usesystem=30000142

Edit: looks like it's working again. I did manage to get some code changes in that will throw an error when this happens again though. I'll try and get it up tomorrow.

Your program makes industry 1000% times less painful then it was when I left years ago.

Thank you for it.

New build to fix some errors above...and others...Let me know of any problems.

Build 2.2.5003.29562

  • Fixed error users were experiencing on startup and having "Ignore Invention/RE" checked on the BP tab for settings.
  • Ships should no longer show unpackaged volumes in the shopping list when added as a building material (ie. Vexor for making an Ishtar).
  • When the EVE Central API is down (or other API call error), EVE IPH will now give an error message with the error and not freeze the program when updating prices.
  • Updating prices for all items and all regions should no longer crash the program.
  • T3 items should no longer show ME/PE values when "Ignore Invention/RE" is checked. This was just a cosmetic change and did not affect the building calculations.
  • Added exception output to the Unhandled Error window when a program crashing bug occurs to help more with debugging. This information will still be saved in the EVEIPH.log file as well.
  • Mining ship equipment names and numbers should now load correctly after saving settings on the Mining Tab and not default to the max levels.
  • Updating prices will no longer update the region on the Manufacturing tab with the same region prices were updated.

Still hangs with the new version when I try to import Jita prices from eve central.

Another issue I'm having is, under Mining, # of Upgrades in Select Ship Equipment is NOT being saved between sessions. It always returns to 3. Which is rather annoying.

Cheers!

One more minor bug/request

Can the region for the SVR (on the manufacturing list tab) please remember its saved value and not switch to the last region that prices were imported for? Is very annoying when I update prices for my region, then update items without prices from Jita and have the SVR region switch to The Forge, even though the value it was saved with is somewhere else.

I'm not getting it to hang on several options. Can you send a screenshot of the Update Prices tab when it hangs for you? I would like to see what options you have selected so I might be able to reproduce it. Thanks

Fixed in this update. Did a bunch of revision of the code so if something looks screwy, let me know. Was quite a pain when I first built it.

Oh and on your previous request about the tax numbers, that's a bit more work than I thought. I'll try and get it in soon though but not sure when.

Fixed in this update. Btw, that was a feature, not a bug...lol but seriously, I purposely did that but after thinking about it, it's not very useful to people buying mats in one area to build and sell in another. Let me know if it works the way you were thinking.

I figured as much. On a similar point, what is the reset button on the 'update prices' tab supposed to do?

I took the nuclear option and did a complete reinstall and it seems to be working. Must have been something wrong with the installation.

Looks like I'm not getting the full required mat list on some BPCs. Specifically a Vindicator, Kronos, Bhaalgorn and Macharial. Can someone confirm?

This may be affecting other prints as well, I havent done a full check on all ship BPs

It resets the search box to the side of it if you have text in the box. I guess it could be called "Clear".

I just checked those ships and they seem to be fine to me. Can you give more specifics? Thanks

In that case, can I request a reset button for that screen to reset the check boxes and radio buttons to their saved values?

Yeah, that's pretty easy. I'm not sure why I didn't put it on there before honestly.
