The bug where the Launcher rechecks shared cache each and every login when I switch accounts is back and wasting time once again.

Fix one thing, break another?

Bugs:

My turrets are still silent unless zoomed in so close I can see asteroid belt bugs on the windshield. Projectiles need their brakka back, as do hybrids with their bark. If lasers can pew (unreliable at the moment), other turrets need their awesome returned plz.

Return of audio that was muted is spotty for asteroid depleted and out of charges. It's a diceroll if it will happen or not.

Launcher. Again. Check shared resources rescache loop each launch. Come on! Fixie the Launcher then don't break it again.

Flavor Text still missing from Region Description, and many of the modules. Return my reading material, going over the same Bio's is monotonous.

When did the Maelstrom get a stealth black paintjob? It's intermittent like with the returned audio. Sometimes a paintjob, other times an ominous black hole in space. And yes, I'm clearing cache each logout.

The green cycle light on a module may or may not be in sync with what the module is doing. Makes timing movement for distances while salvaging a little irritating. Salvagers so far are having the worst sync problem on my end but they are not alone with this bug.

I had posted this in the feedback thread initially as I was unsure if it was just me, but the launcher continually rechecking the shared resource cache is an absolute ballache. Wanting to play the game and then having to wait up to 12 minutes for it to finish checking (yes, i was sad enough to actually time it), is a joke. Why is it every patch you fck this up?

I believe the problem actually is that the market window is no longer 'brought to (almost) top' (just below the market order setup window) after you hit the button indicated in the screenshot. If you happen to have the market window already open, then the button does what it's supposed to do.

Since the update, I've noticed that the capacitor display sometimes goes blank - even though the capacitor is charged. (Mouse over shows the correct values). This can be very confusing, since it appears the cap is depleted.

Are you guys talking about when the Market window is stacked with another window? Because that's a bug that has been fixed and the fix will be deployed soon Smile

Skillbooks should work just like any other item. Perhaps those books are not available in that station?
Skillbooks are the items I have been using most while testing the feature and now have hundreds of them in my hangar. If you are having issues with it (that don't have to do with the books just not being available), please file a bugreport so we can take a look Smile

Vanguard update on my PC failed

Latest update broke my client. I did'nt have the time to get into it until now, but finally did and it is a bad experience:
- the EVE executable goes to a black screen, you can only bring the menu and exit
- clear the caches does'nt work
- the repair client fails with an error telling there's no SSL
- wiki tells that repair client is of no longer use
- delete the launcher and download the launcher updater solves nothing

Finally, I had to start EVE in failsafe mode and the launcher re-downloaded over 1.5 Gb of data after a very lengthy check of the ressources (good point: safe mode did something this time, I thought it was just ignoring the settings). The game started after a long time and it lost all its settings. I have tried to set them back with no success, the game keep losing them, in particular graphics.

I think the only way I have now is a full from-scratch install after a deep scan and purge of any EVE file artefacts, including shared cache. That didn't happen since a long time and I am disappointed.

Confirmed that the issue disappeared after a purge-reinstall.

Playing 3 clients on same PC today and lost my connection. Checked my email to see I have a message from support talking of a black screen issue connected to skill training which can be circumvented by logging in, pausing your training and restarting it.

Logged back in on my main, and never-ending black screen at character select. Can reach the ESC menu (tried everything I could to no avail.)
2 other accounts logged in ok on same PC and did the suggested fix of pausing and restarting skill queue. So far so good.
Try to log in again on same PC to main account still black screen.
Try to log in to main account on another PC and still black screen.
Responded to the email as suggested and still waiting.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

EDIT: It appears there is a conflict with the Blood Raider stat boosters and the skill completion times. I am yet to have my login get past the black screen but it looks like there is light at the end of a very boring tunnel.

When assuming control of guns on a POS, everything seems to work fine until you attempt to relinquish control. The POS mod icons stay in place and you can no longer access the local module icons for your ship (guns, shield hardeners, etc). Even after relinquishing control of all POS Guns, warping and jumping through a gate, the overview only displayed POS mods where my ship modules should have been. The function keys (F1, F2, F3 etc.) attempt to activate the pos module instead of the corresponding module on the ship even you are no longer in the POS or even the same system.

In short, POS Gun icons do not go away after relinquishing control until you log off and back on again.

Additionally, if you log out while still having assumed control of POS Guns, you get stuck in place when logging back in. The overview shows your ship modules as normal, but the game acts as though you still have assumed control of the POS modules. I had to right-click on each gun on the POS to look for the one that still thought I had assumed control before it would let me to relinquish control and then warp off.
