Do the NPC final blows count POS guns too?

If not, that's an awful lot of freighers, JFs and rorquals to be lost to rats. I can understand (somewhat) losing capitals to level 5 missions or sleepers, but industrial ships?

To clarify - yes, it does. Anything that wasn't a player. So police, gate guns, uncontrolled starbase guns and such all count as "NPC". So that should make a bit more sense now :)

Hey if we're doing stat requests...

I notice that 1% of all PvP kills are T3s, and W-space accounts for ~2% of all PvP kills...

What proportion of T3 kills happen in W-space? Big smile

In the name of ... well, I don't know what -- but you know what I mean -- I'd like to request following statistic:

Top 5 capsuleer corporations rated on the number of kills per avarage member.

Those pesky sniggs have nothing on us!

Well.... I'm no DB guru so I'm limited by what the tools I have let me do, but let's see. I have to do the # of people based on the number of people who have scored final blows (best way I have to judge the number of different PVP participants in each corp). I limited this to alliances which have scored 10,000 final blows or more.

So, taking the number of final blow characters and the number of total kills and then dividing it, gives an average kills per member of:

1. Negative Ten. 115.32
2. B A L E X 113.44
3. Mean Coalition 91.39
4. THE SPACE P0LICE 82.06
5. DarkSide. 79.47
6. Soldiers of Thunderstorm 76.75
7. Stain Empire 75.71
8. B A N E 63.77
9. Veto Corp 56.81
10. COASTAL BROTHERHOOD 53.46
11. Pandemic Legion 51.66
12. Agony Empire 50.93

I went up to 12 to include PL for you (as you were asking it seemed fair), but yes, not in the top 10 there I'm afraid (over 2.5k different killers).

And for corporations, limited to corps with 10,000 kills or more and more than 100 different killers:
1. Mean Corp 193.99
2. the united 144.84
3. Fremen Sietch 118.26
4. The Tuskers 115.45
5. Genos Occidere 115.45
6. SoT 107.58
7. BALKAN EXPRESS 105.94
8. Surreal corp 104.50
9. Mugen Industry 100.90
10. Xenobytes 96.65

Both of these exclude rookie ships, capsules and shuttles.

If not killed Capitals, it would be interesting to see at least how many and type of ships killed by capitals, which type of capitals and how many distinct capitals are being used actively for pvp and distribution in low/null/whormhole space. It would be very interesting to see a timeline on the events.

Well, can do something more detailed in a blog at some point, but kills by capitals since Trinity, by killer ship group filtered to caps:

Carrier 122,138
Dreadnought 92,048
Titan 75,393
Supercarrier 67,948
Capital Industrial Ship 2,990

Limited to 2011 only:

Supercarrier 38,703
Carrier 24,626
Dreadnought 19,927
Titan 10,640
Capital Industrial Ship 568

In the PvP Kills - Race.

What makes up the 6% "other" portion?

I would guess Jove, I know theres a few Jove pilots still out there, but thats still a rather big portion.

Edit - I think I misunderstood the graph. Is that kills made by the particular race? If so, I can understand the numbers if it includes CCP pilots in incursions.

That's victims, mostly structures that aren't race-specific (starbase modules like warp disruptor arrays, manufacturing arrays and such), pirate faction ships and things like that.

I'll try and give info that I can in this thread. No promises though!

How about comparing the number of kills in highsec, lowsec, and nullsec against the populations of those areas to work up an estimate of number of ships destroyed per capita? That would be an interesting statistic to see.

Also I see that wormhole space isn't given its own category and is lumped in with nullsec.

I did a rough "per capita" bit earlier in the thread.

Wormhole space is put separately to null everywhere in the blog and my info so far?

This is pretty cool.

I'm interested in more information in the tech level graph; specifically, while Navy Faction and Pirate Faction ships are technically T1, they are much more expensive than their actual T1 counterparts (Navy), and sometimes even more than their T2 counterparts (Pirate).

These ships are quite common in PVP, I'd like to see some of these statistics as well!

I'll try and get faction ship info into my next blog. Definitely needs some coverage I'd say!

The frigate numbers might be inflated due to throwaway cyno ships, At least in syndicate, curse etc not uncommon for throwaway unfitted frigs to get ganked on station waiting for cyno timer to end.

High number of NPC characters on cap kills are probably cyno alts as well.
