Come on CCP Any update on the situation would be appreciated ? Customers appreciate the regular info if it is bad news at least it shows there is actually someone listening and communicates your doing your best to resolve the situation ( which I am sure is the case) :0

A little humour and calming of those whom need their eve fix goes a long way during crisis down times.
Word up if you agree.

Of course they are working on resolving the situation. Every moment they spend giving updates that state what we all already know is a moment they are unable to spend working on the issue.

Just be patient, fire up a movie or another video game for a bit, and before you know it you will be back in internet spaceship land!

Yeah, the creepy rampant homophobia and players literally calling for the real life death or torture of random people who make the silly decision to launch denial of service attacks against a video game was getting a bit of hand :(

Like, internet spaceships are serious business - but I really don't want to see another human being killed or tortured over being silly enough to purchase some random time on a botnet and DDoS a video game.

Considering this one happened basically while everyone was headed into the office for the morning, we should see some action relatively soon.

DO not introduce how the internet actually works in this way, it will never result in any effect as it requires taking a hour or two away from a video game to wiki networking 101.

Just stick with this.

IT IS SUPER EFFECTIVE

I can't say I'd mind them seeing jail time (not really just for EVE but for everything they've hit), but torture is pretty extreme.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

Just chill for a bit, this has been going on all day and CCP's response time has been nothing short of awesome. Rest assured that with a network of this size, people are aware of the issue and are taking steps to resolve it.

For those who don't know, DDoS attacks are someone betting a bunch of proxys and connecting/pinging the server very fast, causing it to lag, then crash, the culprits do not need to be in the game, at all to do such a horrible deed, they just need the I.P address of the server...

I wonder if as part of authenticating the game client for log in, they could require a detected up to date anti-virus detection.
