I guess 10 years of operations killed the server :/ aye it's backup but this all reminds me of the issues regarding Apocrypha deployment, and the server was down for like 36 hours. Skill queues didnt exist back then and we were never reimbursed for SP...could I have the SP I lost then on top of the free 50K???

UPDATE - 08:00 UTC - DUST issues under control, we are however still working on login related issues for EVE

CCP Priorities:

1. Dust
2. Eve

why am i playing this game?

Or ... the Dust issues were caused by Eve issue and much easier to fix.

Could even be that in the process of fixing the Eve issues they fixed the Dust as a side effect

Smaller environment usually easier fix and Sony mostlikely had their playstation network people on it

hy all ,

i just red this coz i am out off game since yesterday somewhere around 18:00 eve time ,what happened is that i tryed to clear my cache files from esc menu in game and both my clients frozen so that i couldn t even quit from task menager . i restarted comp and when i tryed to launch one client screen would flash few times and everything was frozen again . so i tryed clearing cache from launcher menu , then manually , using eve fix toll but nothing helped so i still cannot log in game . anybody maybe know is my problem related to this topic or am i experiencing some other issue ?

thx a lot , endi

I had that issue a week ago, after installing a new pc, 64bit win7. Had to re-install EVE 3x, and had to make sure it was NOT installed into the default .../program files (x86)/... but .../program files/..., or it would not work at all... Due to that issue, I cannot even run two accounts at the same time...

So, if all else fails, uninstall, make sure all the leftovers are gone, then download latest client and install fresh... Your problem has nothing to do with the issues CCP is dealing with right now...

yes i just finshed reinstalling eve , double checked for left overs ,tryed to log , still same problem :-(

actually now i am started to worry

if you are running multiple accounts you just need to make additional directories like EVE1, EVE2....UP TO HOW MANY EVER YOU NEED. also change the security settings to allow it to run with Administrator rights, it will ask you if it's ok when you start up the launcher but it solved the issues I had getting it to run on Win 7 x64

Why is the launcher and website log on in Russian? Have you guys turned Red on us?

Unfortunately there's no more news that I can give you guys right now, other than we're working as quickly and thoroughly as we can to pinpoint and resolve ongoing issues that some of you are still experiencing.

Hi CCP Falcon,

So is it just the new guy who gets to do the weekend middle of the night community communication or are you just the unlucky one on the on-call list for this weekend? Hope you find a coffee pot!

Also glad I didn't try staying up another 5 hours for dust to come back up.

Not sure if trolling or just lack the basic knowledge of geography. Anyway, at least try googling out some things then post stuff like this. Also, I'm gonna guess you're from US.

The coffee pot broke, somebody send them some redbull, monster, [insert other energy drink here]

So glad I just applied a Plex on Thursday to extend my account, busy with kids and baseball 6 of 7 days a week and work 5/7 days so only get to play Eve on Saturdays and early sundays!

What a waste.

What I want to know is why isn't there a tri-server configuration environment, it should be obvious when you have a product that is developed as SaaS (Software as a Service)

server 1 - development server, used for testing and development
server 2 - role-out server, server used to apply all patches and updates on, has replication so the database is identical to that of the live server
server 3 - live server, the current live server enivornment used by users.

The proper way to apply a patch would be

Step 1: Update Server "2" with alll necessary updates and patches
Step 2: Disable services IE: Downtime
Step 3: Make Server "2" the new live server
Step 4: Verify everything works, reactive services*
Step 5: After appropriate period of time re-enable replication but server 2 copies to server 3 now.
*In case things fail to work successfully, disable server 2 and make server 3 the primary again, this will be without updates/patches but allows proper analysis of what was wrong/happened before trying to role out to the customer base.

Not complicated.

Well I was all pissed that I couldn't plex back down our system from the minmitar Ruski's and then noticed that half my log in crap is in russian now....

How about a plexing block for the same amount of time during their prime time!

I blame Dust.

Re: launcher and login issues.

The launch now appears to connect further than 'offline mode'

Though mine is still set as language English, The Password field watermark, and the the next few lines seems to have been changed to :

Создайте новую учетную запись Забыли пароль?

One of the links works and seems to take me to the 14 day trial. The Login button is also changed.

Did you guys change this as a work around, or is it an opps?

Keep the good work.

PS.
Response from client:
"Connection Timeout - The server failed to acknowledge the client's response to the server's challenge within a reasonable amount of time"

My internet connection is working right, at least for all the other programs.

If these issues revolved around the new launcher I'd agree, but they aren't...as stated many times before this is a networking issue not a software issue. The launcher is working fine as its designed to, the network aka Internet in the area isn't. So in this case launcher was never broke true, but it is now improved and apart from the issues on day one with it, there have been none.
