Eve F2P?

"Free tp Play" is probably the most expensive game model out there. Highly detrimental to the players.

For example: Spend just under $250 (US) on Eve and you get your subscription for a year plus somewhere in the neighborhood of 3.3 Billion ISK. With just the subscription alone, New Eden is rich enough that a player need not spend any more money. Add in the 3.3 Billion ISK and you can fill your hangar with a ton of ships and load them out with all Meta 4/Meta 5 gear.

For a so-called "Free to Play" game which shall remain nameless, that same $250 (US) gets you enough game money to purchase the top-of-the-line ship in each weight class and to level up your equipment to 5 of 15. I forget the exact amount, but to max out the gear on the game's smallest ship would cost a player around $1000 (US) if they shelled out the cash instead of grinding.

Oh yeah - that game is HUGELY buggy, has next to ZERO content (unless you count their constant lame tournaments) and, arguably, should still be in beta despite being "live" for two years now.

By comparison, the $130 (US) for a 1 year subscription to Eve is a DEAL!

So, tell me again why it's good for the players for Eve to go F2P?

Gate campers are just Carebears with anger issues.
