I'll really be excited if the Mentor (Amarr ship) from the second contest gets made. Now that was cool looking.

It looks Gallente in design. Maybe it's a multi-faction T3, so it will give bonuses based on each racial BS skill, AND it could have some basic subsystems that would designate it as DPS, EWAR, Support, etc., etc.

Haha don't be silly, T1 minmatar ewar is target painters, webs are a T2 bonus.

Enjoy your 7.5% bonus to target painter effectiveness and 5% bonus to large projectile turret rate of fire per level :)

I really think this is just going to be the V3 remodel for the Tempest... and I'm just fine with that!

Nice to see the pic and confirmation. Tempting to train for if there weren't so many other ships to train for.

I would have liked to fly the Morpheus, sort of the middle child between Hyperion and Thanatos, I s'pose. IIRC the Bateleur did not start out as a BS design, and I've never seen an image of the Abolition.

Good they are working on it. From what I understood the Tornado would be a new minmatar battleship introduced (with a nice storyline by dropbear & co I hope) and later on the other empires would react by building their own versions of the Tornado.

This would give the art team time to "catch up" and it would be a realistic approach. Although I fly Amarr only I do believe its a pretty ship. I am also curious about the Mentor and if that is going to be made. In fact I wouldn't mind that some empires had an extra battleship while others have extra cruisers or battlecruisers. It would shake things up.

PS the Oblivion looks nice ... (HINT HINT)

The competition was just to get the hull model into the game, not necessarily in the form that the designer intended, so there's no guarantee that the Tornado will be a battleship (let alone one with 7 midslots and a web bonus as was put on the original contest entry).

Hopefully they'll use it and the other new hull designs to fill gaps, rather than adding more ships for the sake of more ships.
