I'm having issues with target locks.

Since the Retribution my locks often fail to complete for an unknown reason. The locking sequence starts, my modules are flashing ready to activate, then the locking just stops.

I've noticed this usually happens when either I exit warp, or my target is just exiting a warp. At first your lock just fails normally (due to target still being in warp), but then it starts counting down as you would expect, but silently fails.

Example from logs:

[ 2012.12.13 18:37:09 ] (notify) Interference from the warp you are doing is preventing your sensors from getting a target lock on Thrasher.

This message is completely normal and excpected.

[ 2012.12.13 18:37:12 ] (notify) Your attempt to target Thrasher failed.

But this second message isn't. I've never gotten this before. I'm doing a lot of solo PvP, and the 4-5 second delay brought about by this issue is often lethal for me. Either you miss getting a scram and web on, or you are simple out-dps'ed because the hostile has a 1500 dps lead on you.

I finally ran my first Level 4 Mission since release last week, and there are a few issues.

First of all, I ran a fairly easy Level 4 (Pirate Invasion) and still took just about the least amount of damage I have ever received in a mission. I'm not complaining, but my fit is the same as always, and the difference was noticeable. I'm not sure if this was intended or not.

Second, drones are getting too much agro from NPC's. I had to leave the site 3 times to grab replacement Large Drones (Praetor's specifically). The Mission consumed 7 of them. Pulling them back after damage has begun is useless. This may be great for Drone manufacturer's, but has made a tedious grind even more time-consuming and tedious-er.

Third, the SOUND. OMG. That high pitched 'beep' is uninformative, distracting, and uselss. Please take it away. And the ship explosion sound, which soulds more like a large hangar door slamming shut, is also used when a salvaged wreck container is looted and it pops. Same sound. And it's a bad innapropriate sound. Really really weird.

I'll just leave it at these 3 things for now, thanks.

Im now getting log in issues, something I've never had before. 99% of the time I now get a status: Unknown reading on the log in screen which means I cant log in. attempting any way tells me I might not be connected to the net or some setting is wrong.

Now, I had an older client (6 months ago) and decided to come back to the game. I updated the client and was able to log in once... then I got this error then on, even just logging out back to the log in screen to change character and suddenly the status switches to unknown.

After dealing with this problem for 24 hours, attempting to check my internet settings etc... I cant find anything wrong. Just incase, I cleared cache, reset setting on the client etc and nothing has helped. Its strange because the patcher shows that the status is online. I even went to my firewall to double check the exe is allowed through which it is.

So getting annoyed and assuming the patch went buggy I just uninstalled eve and downloaded the newest installer to see if a clean install would work.

Same problem, I was able to log in once then trying to switch character, Im now hit with status unknown and am unable to log in.... I just renewed two accounts and swapped a character from one to another, if I cant even log in, then it will all have been a waste of money.

Any fix?

You fixed TD but it seems you haven't checked other ECMs.
Did Serpentis Assault (lucky me - after full aggro fix) and was unlucky enough to get 8 permanent sensor dampeners (77km lock range > ~10-12km, ~30 sec to lock battleship on a Machariel). Afaik NPCs apply unscripted variant of SD which means maximum of 62% reduction in lock range/resolution should be applied instead of 85% that i got there: i used 8 unscripted T2 SDs from all5 Lachesis to emulate this situation/effect in EFT. 74% with 8 unscripted T2 SDs from rigged all5 Lachesis with perfect Proteus fleet booster.

Ran WC last night for the first time since Retribution. Was looking forward to a challenge with entire room attacking at once, but that didn't happen. As a matter of fact, with the exception of the initial argo, no-one else attacked me at all until I shot at their ship (not group, ship) first. By the time They returned fire they were down to hull. Their group mates ignored me until I attacked each ship. My passive shield tank never dropped below 97%. Like shooting Galante in their sleep. Entertaining, but not much challenge.

I don't know if the AI is still being tweaked or not, but just wanted to let y'all know that something heinky was going on in that mission. Will run it again tonight and see if the same thing happens or if was a random quirk.

When trying to use the Agent Finder while inspace I noticed that after a jump through a stargate the window would reset to page 1 no matter what page you were on. Very frustration browsing while traveling.

At first (post-retribution), when I opened several containers at once, they were all showing up in the first window's index tree. Nice. Then I decided to check out the other behavior so I collapsed the index tree and opened some containers. They now open up in separate windows. Cool. I liked the tree thing better so I open a container, expand the index tree then open other containers but now they wont go back to the index tree.

I'm not sure if this is a bug. It might be that I'm just missing a checkbox setting or something or simply misunderstanding the dev blog.

When will the wormhole closing animation return, it got ninja patched out with retribution.

Also corp hangars used to remember what the last tab was you were using, not anymore.

At the very least how long does it take to open the sound file - decease the volume 80-95% and resave it?

Could Klang take the (now rotting) pizzas & the launcher out as they leave the building plz.

I have the same issue! My brother told me that its rather difficult now, cause in Sansha Forsaken Hub 4th wave those battles are using TD:s again and again. First i told him that i had this issue in earlier patch as well and i could handle it easily. Yesterday i took this anomaly with my beloved Paladin with best possible skills on it. When the 4th wave came in i took battles ahead like i normally do. And OMG!!! I couldnt even take out that first tagged battleship!!! Whatta hell is going on!?
So i thought that they eventually stop it and waited and waited...NO! Ships indicator tells me that theres none of Tracking Distruption going on, but there is! I had to ask my brother to help me out and i havent ever needed any help with this Anomaly, so now i had. This is BULLSHIT!

If u guys need more money for more games to develope, TELL US STRAIGHT!!! Dont make game unplayable with some cheap means like this distinct issue is. First you tryed fix this money issue with rising PLEX prices like hell! It didnt work, cause it was rather easy make 1,2B ISK (i got 2 accos) with just doing this Sanhsa Forsaken Hub Anomaly in 0.0 security. So you made this then! IT WORKS!!! Moneymaking is difficult. Its too damn difficult for me.

I believe that i quit this beautifull game, cause you guys in CCP became greedy! You loose this matter. I tell you. We are the power and we make this game work. NOT YOU!!! Find your fuckn money somewhere else and leave us alone! I have payed my game with real money in the beginning. You can see that yourself. When you can actually make ISK so much, that you can handle PLEX:s with ISK, you should have that possibility. Its just fair, isn´t it?

If this TD issue is bug, then FIX THE GOD DAMN ISSUE NOW!!!. If it was intentionally made, then i quit the game. Sorry, but im not gonna pay real money anymore for you, cause you become greedy.

I suppose that IF the bounties on the npc's were raised overall to match the difficulty then this change would simply introduce a possibillity to face bigger challanges than before and get rewarded for your effort, but without either looking over the current situation or raising the bounties then you are really telling players that you dont want them to do missions anymore.

Also, current state makes me regret all the time I spent on drone warfare skills.
Which also is kind of bad, noone should have to regret time spent on a game.

Aside from these complaints , you have made an awesome game.

Neutral logistic used by our war targets in HighSec :

  1. can not be attacked from our side.
  2. not indicated by any tag in overview .


Please advice:
In which section we must file a petition then we notice it again ?

I'm sure they are using other assist modules from neutral pilots but it is not so easy to notice & prove.

Can't vouch for No. 1, but i just bought a RattleSnake for lvl 4's last night after spending a bit of time training and a lot of time in EFT, and i'm now going to have to sell the ship... (and presumably join the CNR masses)

I fully understand the reasoning/thought behind the new AI changes, but seriously!? I simply couldn't use my drones at all... The moment they started inflicting damage they were targeted and destroyed before they could make it back to the drone bay, even when recalled the moment they started getting attacked.
And please, for all the gimps out their screaming "Use sentries!" and "Whassup slacker? having to work for your ISK instead of going AFK!?", go troll somewhere else.
I've just spent 500mil on a ship i fully expected to improve my missioning times WITHOUT going afk, and it's totally and utterly useless, and with a max 42km range on Sentries, no they are not an option either.
If the idea of simply removing "Aggressive Mode" as an option for drones to stop AFK'ers doesn't appeal, and you're set on making the AI more realistic, then you're going to have to accept that you're making a good chunk of ships redundant, which is both as ridiculous as it is sad for the game.
You made a big point about the changes implemented for Frigates and Cruisers to make them more varied and viable, and then destroy drone boats in the same update...

Agree with 3 as well, what the hell that high pitched screech is all about god alone knows... and how it got past the devs AND testers...

I also saw something similar to this actually.
For me though, every time i recalled my drones (or what was left of them) and they entered the drone bay, the NPC's just sat there.
It wasn't until i started firing on them that some of them decided i might be a threat after all and starting attacking again, but it certainly wasn't the whole room, or even the whole spawn (i.e. when a room is split into left, middle, right spawns etc).

I don't know if its an isolated issue or just a few are reporting this, but every time I hit the "Play" on EVE Launcher, an Inferno banner shows up. It's not a serious issue but I wonder why CCP still letting it there after all these Retribution updates hehe

So I have finally managed to download eve after the last few days when i couldnt get it installed.


And NOW when I start eve it starts and immediatly goes non responsive,


Does anyone else know what this issue is and how to fix it?

I have tried the repair tool, a reinstall and running it as an admin,

Ok, so I've now become a clone, bought a CNR and sold my RattleSnake, which is a damn shame as mentioned above.

Things are better in this obviously, but i've just had to use my cruise missiles to deal with the small but annoying Sansha Berserkers in "The Rogue Slave Trader (1 of 2)" (which you could normally have managed blindfolded in a cruiser) because the AI kept deciding they were still a bigger threat...

Yes the AI is right, had i not had to keep calling them back in they would have been the bigger threat.

Congratulations on making mission running even more tedious than it was in the first place.

I for one will be hoping David Brabens new Elite will meet expectations and if so i'll be over there like a f***ing shot.

I haven't been able to complete the patch download. First it tells me the download failed, then it lets me still choose to sign on, but it will only let me sign on one toon at a time. Then every time I have to go through the process of the failing download. I attempted to repair this but the repair didn't work either. Please help...
