restart client. before you log in press esc. and go to the reset settings tab. and do the clear all cache . working for more and more people now.



That was the first thing what i tried 3 times. But no, the client is not working and screen just black.

Logged in to station, and all was fine. Undocked, and no graphics would load. The interface was all there, but apart from that just blackness, nothing. The chat channels also refused to load, so the chat window was just empty boxes. Tried logging out while in space and when I logged back in, the interface wouldn't even load. Just a totally black screen with a mouse pointer. Game totally unplayable :(.

Was really enjoying the new expansion until I was dc'd, now all I get is a perma black screen. Mouse pointer and esc menu only. Can hear ship warp drive activated etc...

Restart Client,
Reboot PC,
Clear Cache, Reboot PC
Reset Graphics Settings,
Set all graphics settings to low

None of which made any difference. Going to try fresh install, see if that makes any difference.

On one client my alt character, once undocked, all i see is a black screen and all i can hear is " warp drive active" .


There is no UI, no graphics.


I restarted the client software logged on as Extreme, all is fine but when i logged back on as my alt the screen is black.
So it is reproducable.

Will check with other characters....


Edit: Using Ati Radeon HD6870

Edit: Same occured on the other alt character, it starts when undocking. The UI was still visible but anything else just black. As the UI was still there i was able to dock back up. But i know if you Logoff in space and log back on that docking is no longer possible as you have no more UI.



Update: Seems it now occurred on all of my characters and clients and so i cleaned all cache files and that worked.

A massive cache clean out would save a lot of complaints i think

Is there some sort of anticipated turnaround time for petitions related to the patch? It seems like there will probably be a lot of them.

Nice job. After patching and doing some stuff in eve i noticed that you can change a single time in the tabbed chat channels to another channel. But ... you can't go back to any other then again. I then tried to relog and since then my screen stays black on all accounts after login. Well done!

PS: Since you weren't able to put minimum security to passwords for the bug page, I can't even paste it there. Passwords with special chars are not allowed.

Addional to that, my window-size ingame has been modified again, have to resize again...hope not on all accounts.

Damn It... I had a blackscreen too I just logged in for the first time today (after the patch) and I thought its bug in my game files so I deleted and now Iam downloading 5GB client from eveonline sites :(

Received full pocket agro in first pocket of Vengence (Blood raiders level 4).

Is this supposed to happen??
Good thing there is no warp scram in that pocket.
It would not be bad if there were not so many asteroids in the pocket interfering with warping out.

Loading chat takes forever.........

Well, I'd love to be able to tell you that the graphics work wonderful and all that good jaz but unfortunatly this patch is plegued with problems from the chat windows not showing up to the picture of going totally black when I undock and stays black when I redock. Any idea when you guys are going to fix that? Nvidia Gforce GTX560TI, Gig of video RAM and 12 GB system Ram with I5 Quad 4 Processor @2.67GHZ/core.

Heavily increased CPU usage, i5 2500 here and one client is using THIRY percent CPU, with 2 pushing it to 80-full load.

After jumping into a system selecting a ship in the overview does not update the selected item window. It works well for static objects such as stations. Could be related to chat not being accessible when entering the system, as it seems to work once the chat loaded the member list.

Hi,
client was running fine after patch. Then I logged out and when I logged in again I got the black screen bug. No workaround worked, no change in graphic settings helped.
I restarted the client three times and now everything is back to normal. No black screen, no chat channel issue. Have no idea why it's working again.

Graphics card: GeForce GTX 485M
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-2640M
OS: Ubuntu 12.04 (wine 1.4.1)

I can't move local for some reason, also channels take an awful long time to load now and it takes just as long to switch to them, I also cannot separate channel windows. Not only that, but I undocked and got a black screen, I docked up and was still stuck on a black screen. And before you tell me to clear my cache, I've already done that...Twice.

Here's what happened after I undocked and docked again.

Edit: Everything seems to be working now.

I got a error that the sockets where closed so I restarted the game. Then I got a black screen and I can't do anything. Think that there is something wrong after the patch.

Right now I can't do anything.
