I miss you guys!

Always entertaining content in this thread.

Our daily fleets are getting bigger every time. It's harder to stay unnoticed. Went to RvB HQ, all stayed docked, went to PIRAT HQ, all docked up. We might want to split the fleet in smaller groups or provoke more nullbear fleets to come to highsec. Roll

If null bears come to highsec, you'll be the ones docking ;).

I find it amusing you would say something like this. If you look at every null entities track record in fighting in highsec, I think you will see that they cant really do ****. Castabouts came up from null to fight us.... got their **** pushed in, CO2 came up to fight us, got their **** pushed in (they actually had enough they should have whelped us, but they are terribad)... Gewnz cant manage a fleet op outside of tidi (game speeds too fast, brain speeds too slow) so no. I dont think a null entity will win a fight against Marmites for the foreseeable future.

I love you guys, really, but that's just not the full reality. When I was in BL, we got decced every other week by one merc corp or another. The reason why null groups get "beat" is that they rarely even trouble themselves to fly, oh, 50 fckin jumps just to fight, when in all honesty the majority of war targets would just dock up. And who could blame them?? If we had gone, we would have been flying around 150 tengus with logistics. It's not the same fight. Highsec engagements don't get that large, and no matter the individual skill of the mercs involved, there isn't a way to win that.

It's very true lots of the highsec guys are great pilots, but let's not count catching the few guys on supply runs, or the small gang that comes down to fight you for the lols as the sacking of Troy, shall we?

We aren't talking about killing lone people here Leto these entities have literally put up proper fleets and come to highsec to 'prove a point' and gotten their faces smashed or been avoided cause honestly who is going to have the numbers in highsec for 50 man t3 fleets at the drop of a hat Blink. That said they lose because they don't appreciate the mechanics at play in Highsec. It's not Lowsec or Nullsec...

I have always enjoyed the fight argument between nullsec entities and highsec entities. Having been apart of both I believe we should also include wormhole entities to the mix. To be honest and realistic every fleet chest beats when they are at their max and manufactures excuses when they get outplayed.

Here are some humorous examples from some of my past experiences since I've been on both sides of the fence:

1. Was in a frigate fleet comprised of 10 people and Ivy League scouted us. We shipped down t3's and brought over guardians while Ivy League formed a 30 man destroyer gang to kill our "frigates." They jumped into system assuming they had superiority so we warped to the gate and slaughtered them.

2. I was camping the Amarr undock killing TEST with some friends until local spiked by 100. A few moments later 80 hurricanes landed on the station. We docked and logged because I was no longer the biggest fish in local.

3. Tackled a Hard Knocks proteus with a 100mn tengu and then local spiked by 30. A few moments later 6 guardians, 2 bhaalgorns, 4 lokis, 2 neut legions, and 16 proteus's arrived. I warped away because the fleet was too pretty to look at.

4. I was autopiloting my carrier in lowsec depressed because nobody wanted to tackle my "defenseless" carrier. I felt high and mighty because there were 40 aeons in my fleet expecting me to get tackled.

5. I showed up to a operation that was in the books for a few days. I believe we had 100 t3's and 30 logi to go clown. We got 1 jump out to fight the goons expecting to fight a 200 man fleet but we were wrong. The goons formed 2 tengu fleets(400 tengus and 80 scimitars) instead of one and were still pinging to form a 3rd. We went home because why?

6.(my favorite) A small PL roaming gang took a wormhole chain into goonspace and tackled a few ratting carriers. A ping went out so we formed 50 or so ishtars and started taking the chain to kill the carriers. I believe we got through 6 carriers before more goon carriers started to jump in. Looking at the intel the goons were advertising the tackled carriers as "HUGE FIGHT WITH PL, LOG IN EVERYTHING" and started to ping nonstop. With the continuous influx of carriers arriving on grid we chose to pull range and watch the sheep stumble over each other to get to this "epic" fight. I think around the 100th carrier landing on grid we decided to warp to the wormhole and go home. After 15 minutes of wormhole travel home and docking up our intel reported the goons were still pinging. Some say they are still pinging.....

We can all brag about the time we had our crap together and someone wouldn't fight but in the grand scheme of things numbers hold the most weight in a fleet fight. The goons have proven this time and time again if you are to ever fight an opponent who is smarter than you, faster than you, and better liked than you, just throw nerds at the problem until its fixed.

Even fair fights are hard to come by in Eve but they are the reason most of us keep playing. The feeling of barely winning or the feeling of barely losing are so closely related it is almost addicting. Opponent surviving in structure? Killing a ship as the downtime timer hits 2 seconds? Jumping gate when 100 dreadnaughts target you? Getting point on the enemy FC right as he fleet warps his comrades away?

With all of this said I believe I indirectly covered the point I'm trying to make. We are all playing king of the hill resulting in good fights and bad fights. The big lesson I have learned from all of these experiences is this; The more people you have in your fleet, the less fun you will have.

Im just going to say one more thing on the topic.
1. Sure.... you nullbears have many more people to fleet..... Sure. not going to debate that.
2. Mercs go to lowsec all the time, Null is typically reserved for carebears and their wars....
3. Your big ass fleets in null dont mean **** in highsec.

Im just going to leave this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2kENWXeUnc (we should have lost... fight was over before it got started)

That's pretty subjective. It's different styles of game play.. I for one prefer the smaller gang fights and would agree with you, but on the flip side I know many buddies who love the epic scale of massive fleet fights.

Yeah mate, most nullsec powerhouses are terrified of you Roll I wasn't in any bear alliance, it was fckin Black Legion, rest its soul.

Most mercs (not all) do NOT go into lowsec. Most are too killboard proud to worry about losing something.

And a very, very select merc groups will venture into null/WH space for fear of losing their pods.

But honestly its apples and oranges. Two entirely different concepts of combat. Beat your chest about slaughtering nullbois in highsec, but don't dare come out to their turf? Please.

I wasn't saying this was a preference, I was insinuating the larger a fleet gets their chances of receiving a fight goes down.

To tie your statement with my experience, the goons had so many people like your buddies fleet up, they forced themselves out of a fight by being too large. This is what I was getting at.

I know people like big fleet fights but too much water can put the fire out.

I hope that target frequents uedama or the jita undock, otherwise I fear for your success.

Kremv's tooth with a serrated blade is my fave weapon in fallout 4 btw. Found the big boy nuclear launcher last night, but want to save the ammo.

I only have 7 rounds. Kremvs tooth can kill almost any enemy at close range. I have my trusty .50 caliber sniper rifle for ranged targets. So, in eve terms...a bling vindi for up close, and an arti machariel for range. And stim packs, psycho boosters and stealth fields instead of logistics.

PS fubs: just filling your thread with stuff that matters...to my fans.

That was the jist of his sudden upheaval yeah.

On the terms of Fallout, (Sorry Tora don't mean to encourage him) I went with a very heavily bonused Pistol character. The 10mm is really funny when it can kill a Mirelurk Queen in 24 shots. Haha. XD

But yeah topic wise. Grrr goons, Grrr Marmite, Grrr Holey, Grrr grrr grrr Rawr grrr.
