Nice little video of us engaging PIRAT head on in Uedama.

Credits: Sam Raymond

Thank Sam for recording the fight. I personally think every fight should be recorded, win or lose, to document progress.

Regarding PIRAT's proteus loss. GGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR OMG!!!!!!! Seriously, he had a sebo fit?!?! If every proteus had targeting range damps in their mids, instead of sebo's, your logistics at 50km would have had issues repping whoever they primary up close. So many good tactical advantages can come from range damps. But nah, PIRAT forfeited their ability to apply webs by trying to apply DRONE dps on a guardian 10mn ab'ing around an anchor 50km away. Why fit webs if you don't plan on using them? I am a fan of PIRAT's nut sack and their ability to form a proteus fleet, definitely props there, but damn. Just a little bit of ewar at the right time/place would have made this fight more interesting.

I could care less about a proteus loss, I'm just happy to see a fight happen. Keep up the brawls and ever adapting to win fights. I also encourage PIRAT to learn from this loss so next time, maybe Marmite has to retreat?

PIRAT are fun to fight, as I see they have the same weaknesses Marmite had not long ago. Also, been annoying them enough to come for revenge I think. Twisted

PIRAT coming for revenge is like a kid with a developmental disorder and one really big arm coming at you for revenge. Sure it's potentially dangerous, but you still kind of feel sorry for them.

What actually strikes me about that video is how awful PIRATs fleet composition is, they have barely any logistics and the logistics they do have is garbage. Also you have to love the random kitchen sink ships thrown in with their pile of proteuses. And all they have to counter logistics with is a single Armageddon. What genius of a fleet commander thought that hot mess was a good idea?

They're so bad it's hard to believe, they're an alliance so trash Marmite exude competence by comparison. They should honestly probably just stick to camping the Amarr undock, because that's about all they're fit for.

EDIT: Also 13 vs 17? Pfft that's nothing like outnumbered enough.

I believe they were using RR drones as their logi. What?

From the outside I can see what you mean. most of them prots are RR drone fits which they have used successfully once before.
why the one we did kill wasn't fitted like that I don't no.

once we bumped the single prot away far enough and used the 2 bhal's to nuet as many prots as possible they new it was over.

you could say I was ready for them Blink

Normally their fleets are pretty predictable and logi in most cases are out of alliance (so 2013-2014). The fleet they brought the next day was a good setup and took us some time to decide what to counter it with. Probably a bit to long, as they left short afterwards. Next time..... we'll be ready!

We're still working on our fleet doctrines. Forming up fleets is getting faster and faster. More players who have ships ready to jump in and who are used to their fleet role. Way less hub campers who lose stupidly fitted loot piƱata over sebo-ed ships while sitting still like a sitting duck ready to be slaughtered, so the rest stays motivated enough to hunt. Daily roams with different fleet setups makes us work better together, it's more fun and you still get good kills. I wish we done this 2 years ago, but finding the right kind of players isnt easy. We've seen their bizarre done proteuses before and our collective response was basically "wat :| " and that still stands.

Basically their fleet doctrine is bizarre and hugely vulnerable to the most traditional highsec pvp fleet doctrines of guardians + bhaalgorns + armor t3s.

It's like they're actually trying to lose any even remotely even fight they get.

Ohh yes, they have been at war. There was a time I wasnt so positive about BAW, but after they slaughtered PIRAT and RvB, they got my respect 100% back. Twisted

P I R A T were the only people that Sengier was able to hire when we were busy removing his alliance from the game. They died a lot and ran a lot then whined about timezones even though they were assisting of their own free will.

We killed an offline tower belonging to then in Amarr with like 20 of them in system. I tackled the CEO of gop-stop or whatevers travel fit interceptor with my Barghest. Good times were had by all.
