Royaldo,

Yes, If your friend follows 'The Plan', he can easily fix the Gallente and Minmatar negative Faction standings. Since he's at -6.00 standing, he should first stop killing Gallente / Minmatar NPC's as well as train the skill - Diplomacy - to level 5 asap.

If that skill is already trained up to level 5, then he needs to run some regular level 1 missions + storylines for Gallente or Minmatar agents located in Amarr, Ammatar or Caldari space. When he get's either Gallente or Minmatar Factions up above -5.00 standing, he can then start working the Gallente or Minmatar Event Agents listed in 'The Plan'.

To increase the amount of standing gained for completing missions, train up the skill - Social - to level 5 asap.

Good luck to your friend and thanks for posting.

Cool

It also happens that a perfect -10 turns into a -6 after lvl5 diplomacy. If that's the case, not so easy as training a skill to stop getting shot at, and it would be better to grind up to lvl3/4 SOE rather than grinding Gallante/Minmatar lvl1s in Amar/Caldari space forever.

That's very true, Diplomacy lv 5 will turn -10 into -6. I thought about that as well but he posted, and I quote - "He is -6 something with these factions."

I figured that means he hasn't trained Diplomacy lv 5 yet. Hopefully he still has a couple of levels left to train.

As for grinding missions with SoE verses Minmatar or Gallente, I'm a firm believer that direct standing gains are better than derived standing gains due to getting a much larger amount of increase with the direct standing gain. Yes SoE will give derived standing increase to both Gallente and Minmatar but I think it's slower than going direct.

Besides that, if he trains Diplomacy and Social lv 5, it shouldn't take very long at all to get above -5.00 which is when he can enter Gallente / Minmatar space safely and start working the Event Agents listed in 'The Plan'.

I guess it all depends on the Eye Of The Beholder.

However, I do agree that SoE is definitely a good choice to help raise Gallente & Minmatar standings............

..............................after all Event Agents are completed of course. Blink

Sorry if I'm reinventing the wheel but...
Plan B: buy your faction standing. The last mission of the sisters arc, Dal Segno al Fine, can be shared.

Sorry to disappoint you but that was a bug which has been corrected by CCP recently. The way Faction standing increase was designed and implemented for the majority of time in this game = Faction Standing increase can not be shared.

As for buying Faction standing increase, ie, have someone else do the missions - that will still require you to log into the game, fleet up, talk to agent, warp fleet to mission site or make bookmark and give it to fleet, etc. Then when mission is completed, you will have to talk to the agent again, complete mission, then repeat the whole process again....and again.....and again, etc.

Hell, might as well just do the mission yourself and make some ISK / security status increase, unless of course you're just a market alt or an Industrial character that has no combat skills.

Anyway, thanks for posting.

Perhaps is a bug, but it is still alive.I did it today. Running the arc, two toons in parallel, one toon sharing standings. The standing transactions window shows an increase of 8.4% and four minutes later 4.025% for the shared mission.

It was fixed and unfixed many times. CCP keeps removing epic arc faction standing sharing, but it seems to revert after random patches.

I shared an Amarr Epic Arc once and the standing split, Funny thing is; every time I have done it since (4 times I think) and haven't split the rewards, I have to send a petition every time to get any standings at all. Go Figure?

Things that keep me up at night;  Why do we use a voice communication device to send telegraphs? Moore's Law should state, Once you have paid off the last PC upgrade you will need another.

They gave in to your petition? I'll have to do that next time. CCP has stated that it's not supposed to split and that it's a bug.

No, I should be more specific, the second time I tried to split the reward I got no faction standing boost. When I petitioned it I was informed that Faction Standing cold not be shared, and the GM applied all the standing to one Toon. Then they added +36% to Amarr to that Toon, Don't ask I guess GM calculatoins for standings are different than simple maths.Big smile

Just moving this thread to the front in case someone needs it.

I'm currently working on getting my Gallente and Minmatar Faction standing back up above +7 which will bring them close to equal with Amarr and Caldari. Then I'll complete the last few Empire Cosmos Agents.

I also needed to bump this thread to keep it from getting locked.

I have a character with bad standings with Gallente Federation. However, I also have characters with only neutral or positive agent standings, by way of sharing mission completions.

I read your guide on the wiki, and have a question about unfriendly empire agents located in friendly space.

Can I boost a character's agent standings through sharing mission completions, and eventually gain access to that agent directly... despite the boosted character having terrible faction standings?

and then can the character improve its faction standings by working for the level 4 agent directly.

Yes, but:

You can share mission rewards until your character has the requisite standings to run L4s with that corp (5.0 modified), however you need at least -2.0 modfied with a faction to run any agent that's better than L1. So if your faction standings are below -2.0 you will need to whore L1s and the resulting storylines until you get there. And/or do L1 datacenter and COSMOS missions as well as career agents; stuff you read about in the guide.

Ifly Uwalk is correct. (Thanks)

Until the Gallente Faction is above -2.00 standing, you'll only be able to access level 1 Gallente Agents.

Training the Diplomacy skill will help a lot, especially if you're at -10.00 standing. Level 5 Diplomacy will turn -10.00 standing into -6.00 standing. Once you get the Gallente Faction above -5.00 standing, you can safely enter Gallente space and work the Event Agents listed in 'The Plan'.

The Social skill will increase the amount of standing gained for completing missions. Good luck to you.

o7 DMC :-)

so with Diplomacy V, the lowest possible faction standing is -6? adjusted

I'm just thinking that since I've done the exact thing your wiki says not to, maybe I should let it go for now and deal with it in one shot.

Feanira Darr,

I'm not sure what your particular situation is at the moment, a little more info would help a lot.

The reason I said -6.00 modified standing with lv 5 Diplomacy on a -10.00 base standing is due to looking at my own stats of the Pirate NPC Factions who's ships I constantly destroy.

oh. I'm just not ready to stop with the faction pew pew missions just yet. and lately my mind has turned to what I would need to do if I ever decide to leave Caldari space. However... I don't have a reason, and if the floor is -6 then I'd rather continue my employment as a mercenary for my Caldari State.

all for the good of many.

Ahhh, OK.

Well, when you do decide to fix your standings just remember that it won't take very long at all. Basically just train up the appropriate Social skills and work 'The Plan'..
