New goon war on RMT and 5 billion ISK for a plex

With the new vcode requirements for goons they will also

now be able to tell how a user pays for their EVE subscription. In the short future goons will start demanding that everyone starts paying for their account with PLEX in an effort manipulate the price of PLEX in effect driving prices through the roof...effects of increased PLEX prices will be loss of profits for RMTers and botters....Branch is pretty good farming so the isk faucet is going to be cranked wide open, how high will plexes go? 2,3 5, 10 bil?

Missing the point, Why use your own isk to make massive profits from PLEX price fluctuations when you can use the zombie masses to do it for you....oh yeah and cripple enemies bots in the process....

Even if you could pull it off, I'd say that you couldn't push it much higher than 550-600M.

Same thing as always..denial it is ok dude, my accounts are plexed up and i have a small stockpile in cases of emergencies just like this..good luck

The only problem with that...

People won't pay much more than they already are... leaving only Goons to pay the high prices. Yeah, that would work out so well.

so not only are we asking people for their assetlist APIs to "probe out" accounts to hack, but we're also using APIs to manipulate the plex market to "combat RMT"

not only does the API not allow you to view the payment method on the account, but it doesn't even let you see the login username, let alone anything else like that. it's obvious that you're a flipping moron. kill yourself!

I know I am only a graduate business student but if they crack down on botting that reduces the influx of isk. That means that there is less isk to go around and that means it drives PLEX prices down as the isk, as a commodity is worth more because of its rarity.

As to goons forcing their members to use plex: I highly doubt that this would happen and I even more doubt that goons would support such an effort as sloth prevents a lot of them for farming isk. (ie the weekend warriors) If you start desubing your members due to lack or personal income your fleet numbers go down. Remember this is goonswarm, their fleet composition starts with "get 500 guys together and..."

actually more likely than not most goons would just disregard that nonsense and go back to paying their subs the normal way because there is no way to tell how your members are paying for their subscriptions, even with a full-access API vcode

Goons are a bunch of scammers and each and everyone of them is out for themselves, my scenario is not so far off...and question of course...why else would they want that piece of api information?

please let PLEX sky rocket past 1B, I will happily pay another 100$ to further free myself from the ISK grind while others slave away to give it to me, as I have plenty of RL cash and I am having more fun now with my new found freedom. bring it on!

Description
The Account Status API returns basic account information including when the subscription lapses, total times logged on and date of account creation. In the case of accounts created with Game Time Codes (GTC), it will also looks for available offers of time codes.

CCP said in the minutes the PLEX market was indeed open to scams and meta gaming such like this. But also said they would develop tools to combat it if it did happen or prices got to high.

Even then I am with chibbra and starting to horde all the food stamps and old buffalo nickel coins I can.

What piece of API info?

Nothing that the API gives says how you pay for sub.


Lots of account related stuff, but no info if payed with by plex or CC.
