Kidnapping a Body?

I was doing a little bit of mining in a venture, at that very moment my old lady starts gripping about this and that. So I jump up to see whats the matter(...everything house cleaning...and that I messed it up). So she got me running around doing this and that... left my venture in space and got what all AFK gets... BOOM and smaller boom.

Ship and pod, didn't lose much thank goodness So I re-spawn in a station and get a evemail saying "We have your body, pay us 500,000 or the biomass get it!" I got back in system and station, and a trade window opens waiting for me to drop him 500,000 for my body.

I said "as much as it would be neat to have my bloated decomposing body rotting on the floor of my station room. But I'll have to pass"

Do fresh noobs fall for that? ...I guess cant say too much, I do have my first body from 3 years back.

There are some people that either RP or actually care that much about it that don't like having their corpses "out there". In other words some people do pay. I'm not saying that many do I am just saying that some do.

And corpses with names that are well known are sold for even more ISK.

LOL I have a meat locker too. But it's more like a small ice chest.

There was an epic troll by CCP way way back (2005-ish?) where players were pestering CCP about what T3 stuff would be like.

After a while TomB (pretty sure it was he) said that "current thinking is it'll require organic matter".

Cue hoarding of corpses Twisted

There is/was another use for them - put loads of them in a freighter & it took the gankers ship scanner MUCH longer to see what was there Blink

I'd buy back my corpses for a million each if offered to buy them. I wouldn't even consider it a ransom, but a nice gesture.

I seem to remember there being a graveyard at one time.

I also seem to recall it was vandalized, and possibly succumbed to changes to the garbage collection rules.

Back in the day corpses would break cloak, so gates would be surrounded by clouds of corpses.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

That actually happened? I mean, it wouldn't surprise me... but that's just messed up.

Yeah. Using corpses also had the benefit that they were not detectable on d-scan.

So I am not the only one collecting corpses and storing them in big containers. That is good to know. Big smile

I was at ama gate in dal and I warped to a moon near a small plex because the plex was out of scan range. As I warped off a firetail decloaked. He must have thought I warped to the plex cos he went there after me. Up for a fight I warp to the plex and I land but there's no accel gate.

I can see the plex in the distance but nothing else on grid. Then I get a socket closed message. I relog asap and appear at my home station in a fresh pod. Some guy in local trolling me that I'm gutted and that he has my corpse.

Half a bill pod lost. Genolutions. As a further kick in the teeth I'd just spent the better part of an hour transporting 3 ships to my base which would only fit with the genos.

I don't have isk to replace the implants and ccp are refusing to reimburse the loss as they did not detect an error or net failure. So I have 3 ships I can't fly and a half bill loss on my killboard.

If anyone check my killboard they can see I pop plenty and have died plenty but I never lost a pod unless to smartbomb on a gate. It makes no sense that I would not aggress or warp once popped.

I know the game thought I was on grid because I didn't auto warp when disc. But my ship and pod lost literally in the same minute. Ridonkulous.

Please reimburse ccp.

Honest disconnection.

Sry for hijack thread.

There was s corpse kidnapping involved tho.
