EVE quality is slowly degrading over time and I agree that the most people are OK with it since these are "minor" changes we have (voice, ship brackets, tooltips, rgb sliders etc...).
It is sad.
It is happening because there is no alternative to EVE yet, so they are free to do all they want.. even things that would be disastrous for any other company on competing market. Single player, monopoly, ya know!

One could be silent about it or speak out his opinion, but to excuse such obvious development fails with silly '2016 reality' or 'adapt or die' myths - THIS is what I do not understand! But good trolling never hurts :)

All i hear is something like " this is MY game and i'm against EVERY change i'm not asked about"
Because change is bad and its better to let the game die than change even the slightest bit....
All the complaining about the aura voice is coming from a minority source that belives THEY are the ones that ccp care about,something that these people may think,but this is far from the truth.....

People you still have the opportunity to leave the game if you think you are victimized in any way.....

yeah.... Eve is unique game. We simply have no options.... Even if CCP reduce it to monochrome text console MMO most of us will still be there as long as the game keeps it's idea....

The sad part is that CCP knows it and never cares about quality

You clearly have no idea on how forums work - If everyone who had a complaint about an aspect of the game posted to the forums- It would cause TIDI on the server node that contains the forums.

Simple fact is, not many people use the Eve forums and those that do could be considered the voice of the majority. They do after all take the time to voice their opinions and often the opinions of their friends, corp and alliance mates.
The alliance I fly with now has a channel on Discord called, Aura Sucks, this morning there were 100+ new posts to it, 50% more than all the other channels combined. Just over 1,000 players, 99% of whom never post on the forums are voicing their opinion. An opinion that will never be heard by CCP, not that they care, the decision regarding the new Aura was set in stone well before any feedback was given on it. "Complain all you want - It won't be changed"

Look at SISI some time - The "test server" for all new additions to the game - Is lucky to have 200 online, simple fact that most players don't care about "testing" shite. CCP actually has to bribe players with "free" SP (that is only valid on the test server, until the next sync with TQ) to participate in "mass tests"

NB; Test server feedback was used to impart dissatisfaction with the new Aura well before it went live - That feedback, just like here, was ignored by Devs. Reality is, there are some changes introduced to TQ that regardless of whether they are an improvement or worse than what was available, CCP will introduce simply because they can and players adapt or leave.
It is cheaper to use the tea ladies as the voice of Aura than to pay professionals. (no offense meant tea ladies, I'm sure without the overdone effects added by some tone deaf Dev your voices aren't at all as horrible as they sound on TQ)

CCP used to develop Eveonline for its players, now it is designed to make money = As cheaply as possible to maximize profit.
After all, someone has to pay for CCP's (so far gigantic failures) side projects and the loyal player base of Eve is just the ticket for CCP to milk.

Trying to say complaints about the new subpar camera are childish - Your not even trying to be a good troll, just commenting on things you don't understand.
The camera we have now is far less user friendly than what we had previously - Devs had said it will be brought up to a better standard ever since its release - It hasn't, it still has basic functionality missing...

PS; Do some research on things Before criticizing others. New camera especially, unless you had experience with the previous (better) camera, you don't know what your talking about so can't make a comparison.
What works well on Devs machines with the best hardware and monitors, will and does perform in a subpar fashion on TQ for a large majority of players.

My opinions are mine.

To Ravas: read the following again....

It is an accepted truth in customer service that for every person that takes the time to make a complaint there are dozens more who think the same thing but don't take the time to complain.

Take the ratio of negative to positive comments in this thread and extrapolate it to the entire player base. That is the way to look at the numbers.

My few thoughts:

- New fitting window - finally! Not a power user, I may find some issues in the future, but so far I love it.

- New explosions - cool stuff Twisted

- New structures - again cool stuff. Although I'm not gonna use them, it feels like a step in the right direction. If I was about to get one though, I'd say - waaaaaaay too many rigsRoll

- New character sheet - I'm a bit torn with this one. Old one was ok, didn't feel that change was needed. New one is more compact which is ok but some issues mentioned here make it harder to read and manage (mainly awkward non alphabetical verticaly horizontal order of skills). New character picture has poor quality and without WiS doesn't make any sense - I definitely prefered the old one. Overall new sheet is ok, I'll get used to it with no drama but some more love from devs wouldn't hurt.

Now the bitter part What?

- New aura is BAD. When I started playing EvE it was love at first sight, and it was love mainly because of Aura. It was her voice that sold me this game in a heartbeat Straight and her death was an unexpected shock. If I could, I would trade all the new features for her proper voice without any hesitation.

- Command bursts - Just for the backgroud, I've trained leadership skills purely for pve multiboxing. I can understand this maybe wasn't the idea how it was supposed to work and that change was needed. I really do, and I could get over it with ease. What I can't understand though is no skill reimbursement. It just feels like a middle finger straight at my face Ugh. Was it really so hard to do to give me (and maybe others) a choice?

People generally dislike change so I guess most of what's being grumbled about in this thread is to be expected and entirely reasonable. Personally I don't much like a lot of the new layout changes but that's probably just irritation at having to root around to find stuff that, before, I didn't have to think about.

Aura, though, is another matter.
I know it's a little thing and if it doesn't bug you in the least then that's cool but for me the only thing that could make that voice more $%^&ing irritating would be if it were saying "Unexpected item in bagging area."

Please CCP can we at least have the option to revert to the old sound samples, even if that means we don't get any of the new stuff? Otherwise I suspect that for many people the voices will simply be switched off.

I noticed today that the user interface sounds have changed, at least in part. I love the changes. While I am sure that the developers have more than enough to do, I would also like a bit more speech, perhaps even the possibility to add one's own sound samples and/or speech synthesis (yes, I am an old fart, and I know it is called text-to-speech these days). I don't know how others feel, but I feel that speech does a lot to add to the SciFi 'feel' of a computer programme.

And ... I still like the new voice better than the old one. A lot better.

Perhaps. In my case, it remains turned on, and it sounds a lot clearer and is therefore significantly more useful than the old voice. I love it.

Also, developers always have a hard time. As a veteran developer myself, I am well aware that 'many' people don't want a change and that 'many' people do want a change. Choices have to be made, because if they are not, and more customisation is introduced in an attempt to please everyone, 'many' people will complain that the programme is too complicated.

Have some empathy for the developers. They are people, not gods who, by some miracle, are able to please all people, even when their wishes are in conflict.
