Just a heads up for anyone here using Darknesss or considering using Darknesss to hold collateral for loans. It's recently come to light that he has begun scamming so be careful and use another choice instead.

Well that was an interesting turn of events. Hats off to Darknesss for a scam well planned.

The old style third party model is almost obsolete now due to Keepstars, and this may have been behind Darknesss' decision to cash in his reputation.

Although there are certainly still roles that third parties can play - particularly in handling supercapital ransoms and structure ransoms.

I don't think Darknesss will be too successful in that field in the future.

On it's own yes, but that is the only one we know of, he could have used his rep on many many other super items and collateral held etc, so it could be several times , just this is the first one that came to light.

I never used 3rd party services, but if I did, I'd contact Chribba only. I mean why would I trust someone with the name Darknesss, no matter his reputation Big smile

On the other hand if Chribba ever did that, now that'd be news, even BBC would write about it.

Don't get me wrong, I completely understand Darknesss, If I was doing it I'd surely be tempted and probably would do it, it took me quite a while to obtain so much ISK, yet he got in in an instant. Why not? Twisted

I've made enough ISK to not have to care about that yeah

And yes, I do get notified when my name (and other keywords) are mentioned, I've had that script active since day two of creating eve-search hehe
