- Bring back the old voice!
- Bring back the separated training queue!
- Bring back the "SAVE" button for the training queue!
- Bring back the skill points of each skill!
- Bring back the rank of each skill!

Please!

This puts is quite to the point.

- Though I don't believe we will get the old voice back, maybe someone can take out some of the highs and squeakiness. Warping a fleet and having multiple toons in that fleet sounds like someone is constantly nagging at me.

- The separate skill queue had its foundation in simplicity and functionality, all of which is gone now. Further more, by just checking a few simple numbers, everything is buffered and the frame rate drops down to 1-2, every time. Complexity for complexities sake - over function - never. There should be data available of previous character sheet usage vs skill queue usage and I bet a Plex that the difference was more then 10%/90%, where cpu load was the opposite, like 90%/10%.

Not sure why you need 'add to skill queue' when you can just drag it down... not a dominant issue, but it demonstrates how cluttered and over designed tool tips have become. Drag and drop + save button or separate window and 'add' function.

Not being able to see the progress of partially trained skills (and the SP) is a big miss, one icon and a mouse over count down is doing none a favor.

- Another issue I have is (and which has been brought up before release - see JonnyPew), that as an Omega I still see all items marked yellow for Alpha clones. Every time I open a container, wreck or inventory, everything looks like I am committing a criminal act. This is not acceptable. If you get use to ignore the yellow warning edges and have your safety set to yellow or red, you will by accident commit 'crimes' and become suspect or worse. I waited till the first post expansion patch to see if it got addressed, but no - FIX IT NAO!Evil

- One more thing I would like to see (and will mention in the specified thread) is, that I would like to see a check box for the new fleet boost animations. For certain characters or fleet role I want to seem them (need to), but under normal conditions they just mess up and clutter everything, especially if you use (like most I guess) multiple screens. And though they look quite ok from farther away, just moderately zoomed in, they become very unattractive (blurred, rough pixels) and disturb the beautiful view of deep space ,)
Now, even if we won´t get a specific on/off option, I think this can be remedied by speeding up the animation and adding more transparency, maybe eve a bit contrast so it won't blur so much, but is rather distinct but 'thinner' if that makes any sense.

-An issues, which probably is now passé, was/is the e-mail verification/authentication. This was just plain stupid. As many mentioned before, some e-mail addresses were unused, lost or with missing passwords. This should have been considered before pushing the new system live.
And yes, I myself saw the notification early and checked before the release. My e-mails were verified (and payment accounts and credit card etc ...) which should have been enough. But I was forced to do it again... and even though everything was verified in the account settings before, I could not log in to one of my old email accounts for the authentication rubbish, wrong password, even though I had it written down, so I assumed the e-mail account was removed and lost.
In the end I managed, after a lot of tries, to access it again and verify my eve account... And the last mail I had in the mailbox was from my eve registration °°

Cheers o7

PS: As I mentioned during another release, usually everything not complained about is fine, and I love the new explosions, though there seems to be some audio stutter. So don't feel all bashed. Big smile

CCP guys, I'm getting angry.

Yesterday I received the following information while trying log-in:

https://zapodaj.net/561c5268a2ca6.jpg.html

I cannot log in on the few, but not all accounts connected to this address email. I have got frozen assets from my indusrty line on one of these accounts. Without one of these accounts all my industrial chars are useless. I maintain active accounts, but cannot use them.

Please tell me deadline of a very complicated task - sending a verification code at the gmail address.
I know that not all the providers are able to send the email at the gmail address, but I'm sure that in the whole world there are at least a few who still can do this very specialized work.

I'm really angry, because last time I waited 90 days for your response and fixing the obvious mistake. That problem reffered to one of my toons. This one affects all my accounts not toon and a compensation (sorry man, here is 14 days of game time as a compensation) will be insufficient, because I just cannot set the training queue, use cerebral accelerators and use assets frozen on these accounts.

I second this. Not necessarily the tone, but could anyone PLEASE comment on the errors around sending/receiving emails?

- some emails arrive delayed (from 15 minutes to hours)
- some GMAIL (!) accounts are not able to receive verification codes?

and please provide a timeline for fixes on these issues. getting updates on minor issues around cosmetics is frustrating, while there are no news on issues that keep people from logging in. thanks

CCPlease, I'll make you a deal.

I don't get you guys. Why would you want to make a deal with someone you pay for doing something you want? That's like telling a car dealer "Ok the car doesn't work, but if you give me a free car wash I'll let it slip."

That's not how it works. You are not a slave to CCP. You are not obliged to pay for this game. It is the other way around: they are obliged to deliver a game that you consider worth paying for. You are very much allowed to make demands when you hand them your monthly fee and with that essentially pay a fraction of their salary. And if they do something that offends the majority of the players, then you politely say "Thank you, but no thanks. Now fix it." And if they refuse to change it back, you in response refuse to pay them any further. And if they realize you are serious about your demands, things suddenly change. Because: guess how many people at CCP will receive a salary in December if all players spontaneously quit.

Totally agree. I already let my 4 accounts lapse because I refiuse to pay money for the privilidge of looking at the new skill window. xD

Couple reasons I'm taking this method for change.

1. Pointing out that driving off paying customers has not made much of a dent in the wall of current business-customer interaction practices.

2. Offering trades in the spirit of Trade Hubs, maybe using something more ingame will get better results? Maybe some of these decisions to not use customer feedback is a language and culture barrier. So I'll try to New Eden Speak my way to clarification.

3. One of my accounts remains inactive in any clone state until older promises are fulfilled. Doing my part to impact a financial bottom line already.

4. And that I shouldn't have to descend to wheeling and dealing to get a business to work on it's business model but that's what's happening. Demonstration in both object lessons and what happens when a business gets a bit... big for it's britches, so to speak.

Going to stop there on reasons. From here it wouldn't stay polite or constructive.

Minny boat flyer, unofficial squeaky wheel.

'Game Ethics and Morality Monitor' I remember promises.

Snark at 11-24/7/365.25. Overshare? Yup.

Yes it's my fault. And if you don't staap it I'll do it again. ;-P

No you can't has my stuffs OR my SPs.

They must hate money because I rather set mine on fire than give it to ccp now.

After nearly 10 years feel really let down with the way they treat people but sure they are backed up by those drone players who defend them at everything.

You added a warp tunnel. I learned to ignore it.
You added a "new" map. I turned it off.
You added a "new" scanner. I turned it off.
You added a "new" camera. I turned it off. Then when you made it mandatory, I joined in the threadnought clamoring for a toggle. Upon introduction of that toggle I turned it off again.

I am not unique in the above actions. Most of the players I know have done the same. There is clearly something wrong, when you keep turning out products that the first reaction of your core users is "how do I disable this?"

Now you have added a new Character page. This character page is a significant reduction in the quality of life for the players. You have simply crammed too much needless crap into a single window. As a result you have hampered the ability of the players to use the page for its core purpose - managing the skill queue. The skill queue and the skill page need to be in separate resizeable windows - like they used to be - so they can be put side by side when worked with. There is simply way too much scrolling having to be done now because you cant fit enough of the queue on the small monitors that your players typically use - as opposed to those big dev monitors that you have in your offices. And, what is it with the font? It is so small as to be almost unreadable. Have you learned nothing from the complaints of the past? The tool tips also need to go. Having them pop up every time you hoover over something is annoying as fk since it masks everything below it - and no long playing vet needs the information in the tooltips. It is simply not good design to overload your players with a lot of bells, whistles, and flashy lights while simultaneously masking all of the important game features that are necessary to actually play the game.

TL/DR - either give me back the old character sheet and skill queue or split out the skill queue into a separate window and for the love of Bob - either significantly increase the size of the font or allow for the players to do so.

Please redo Aura's voice. We do not necessarily require the old one back, but we need a voice that sounds professional, clear, smooth and soothing - our only friend in galaxy full of predators. The current implementation is harsh, fast, unclear and extremely impersonal. The sound is also oddly choppy. It's as if some CCP employee recorded his sister using a webcam.

New Aura is just like a slightly annoyed and bored woman talking to me. I'm pretty sure EVE players don't need even more of that in their lives :p

Old Aura sounded like a nice but synthetic computer voice, which is exactly how my spaceship should talk to me!

Completely agree. New voice is seriously annoying.

I agree too! I played only a few hourse, but i already had to turn off UI speech sound because she gets annoying so fast.

Launcher might need more testing with multiple accounts. I'm finding it loses all saved accounts except one overnight.

At least as I add them back in it is not asking me to validate them all again. I did them all the night before the patch, then had to do them all again the morning of the patch. Preparation in advance didn't actually affect anything despite the community service announcement.

I think we need an option to choose if we want the old voice or the new voice, simple !
Everyone will be happy.

I think even if the new voice and acting will be better, the majority of vet players will choose Aura's old voice...

Aura is the soul of Eve !!

Same, turned it all off as well (same as EVERYONE else I know in the game btw). And I agree that the new Character page is a total over designed pain in the ass that does not work.

Unfortunately (for players) the new Aura voice and especially the jumble called a character sheet are just more examples of how out of touch Devs are with their customers.

Eve is becoming the game I play when there is just nothing else to do.
Which is a shame as it used to be what I did instead of just about everything else.

Devs, do you even care if we stay? What did we do to inspire you so thoroughly to detest us as your playerbase? Are you so arrogant as to think your success doesn't hinge on how many people play? I am baffled and confused regarding this "expansion", and your attitudes toward us as your players and the heart of your company. You took away all that we related to for a decade or more and then flippantly act like teenagers toward our reaction. If you no longer want us to play, say so clearly and stop with the subtle hints.

OK, we don't know each other.
For the record:

I like the new warp tunnel, the new map, the new scanner and as far as I could see yesterday the new character sheet is also an improvement. It's much clearer to see which skills you already have and which ones are missing.
Also, bragging with the sum of all ranks per category was not possible before. That alone entertained us few vets for awhile. :-D
And EVE definitely needs LESS windows that can be independently resized, clutter the screen and randomly stack/resize with other windows if your mouse actions are a bit clumsy.
