Google mskssrv.sys; it's a file related to the Microsoft Streaming Service Proxy (server), and it probably has something to do with the launcher streaming the patch file and something got corrupted.

As far as fixing it, if you follow internet suggestions they'll laughably ask you to reinstall windows as the first, "easy" thing to try. The second thing to try is to get a copy of the mskssrv.sys file from a different working computer, copy it into the location in the Windows folder where the corrupt file is, and use regsvr32 command to register it.

Open a support ticket with CCP, see if they can help you get a hold of the file or repair the issue.

Soooo, my skill queue has rolled back to the last time I logged in.

I have been away for a couple of weeks, the Login screen told me I had completed 9 skills, and what I was training, however when I login, it tells me I am training the skill I was training last time i logged in and all of the skills are back in the queue untrained

This seems to be a pretty crappy issue

I found my bio still showing if I look at it through EVE Gate (perhaps it gets erased when I log in)

Thank you, I used the prototype cerebral accelerators on 3 new Omega accounts yesterday and blood raider accelerators on my two mains and and had just noticed they'd all disappeared.

If you try and view your bio in the new character sheet, it will get overwritten as blank. If you haven't already, DO NOT VIEW YOUR BIO IN THE NEW CHARACTER SHEET!!!!!!!! If you don't want to wait for our investigations, you can get your existing bio from https://gate.eveonline.com/Profile/Yournamehere too, as noted by Chribba.

You can retrieve a lost Bio by checking your profile on EVE Gate. When I heard they weren't there anymore I grabbed mine - this was before logging in however - so might not be possible.

Confirming; I haven't logged in / patched yet, all my bios are visible in EVE Gate (through the forum profile).

When I ran the launcher, all my authentication tokens were expired. So, I logged in again. It said I had two factor authentication enabled. I never did that. I had to enter codes sent to my e-mail.

This is a major hassle, as my e-mail is at work, and I need to use VPN to access it. With VPN running, all my internet access goes through work, and they block the playing of EVE. But, not the running of the launcher, so at least i could log in. But its still a pain: Run VPN, log in, quit VPN, play.

So, I thought I better turn off two factor authentication. I went to account management. It said two factor authentication was off! Huh?

Good grief you guys made a complete hash of the new login for multiple accounts for something dropped on so quickly.

Can someone explain to us:

1. Why the launcher locks out every time you need to confirm an email and won't let me add another account without a restart (I have 5 accounts to add, arghhhh! )

2. Why it is beyond the wit of man to have just merged the datasets and sent everyone who has logged in recently an email containing activation links for ALL their accounts in a single message.

3. Why, knowing that most people have multiple accounts, that you don't include account name in the mail subject so we can tell them apart without having to read the body.

4. Can we a single one-time-key for all of the accounts we own based on a single email address?

PS: Good to see CCP completely ignored almost all feedback on the new character sheet.

Two characters where I opened the new character thingy lost their bio. Third character I didn't open it and he still has his bio.
