Now in contrast, this is what the main eve online page looks like.

https://www.eveonline.com/

What? Taking all that intro content out, and replacing it with 4 HUUUGE blocks of either videos or other content that explains nothing, or "BUY NOW" buttons?

You want to drive new players away, CCP? Well you done it will with a big, mysterious, terrible main page. That design is the worst I've ever seen and its like they've gone backwards.

Every time I've played an MMO, or even bought a single player game, I've always relied on good, functional websites that tell me about it. Some videos that don't explain crap are perfect ways to push people from even trying eve.

Don't kid yourselves. Even the dirtiest pirates from the birth of EVE have been carebears. They use alts to bring them goods at cheap prices and safely, rather than live with consequences of their in game actions on their main, from concord to prices

I think you are rather confused, you are mistaking adjusting bad mechanics and balancing the game for blocking what you define as content.

Do you feel that it is a good mechanic that a ship can hold another in space and be protected in doing so by CONCORD, if you think that ending this practice is castrating content creators in hisec then I have to ask wouldn't you be better off in WOW.

I am guessing you are talking about the bumping changes, but again that can be avoided by checking your route on a map. If anything for that change it should be some kind of warp module that can placed on a ship or just take the whole aligning and getting up to speed a way instead of having some kind of loophole in the game mechanics.

I it seems you are confused, WOW is a ultra safe game compared to Eve. another reason why i am here instead of there.

I am hardly confused, a Macherial bumping a freighter is pretty damn safe, he is carrying out PvP without consequences and being protected to boot by CONCORD. Tell me again that I am confused in pointing this loophole of a mechanic out.

Go and enjoy ganking its fun, but stop whining about removing something that gave expensive kills with no consequences, its tedious and pathetic and makes you look weak.

hang on, bumping now gets people kills? And without a sec hit loss or risking a ship? Amazing!

You are absolutely correct putting a 3 minute time on warps is a loophole. It should be a warp fail safe module or the aligning and hitting warp speed should be done away with if they want to stop bumping.

Na, you and pro bump people don't get it. It is an exploit of a game mechanic. CCP never intended it's (failed) physics engine to be used in this way. There is no way to counteract it through independent normal gameplay and the expectation of 20+ additional jumps is just silly. Thusly this exploit was nursed in a way that still provides reasonable use to content creation.

Suicide ganking if you. Price has not been touched. Why? Well because through normal play it can be countered. (MWD and cloak, passive tanks etc.

So all the content creators are free to keep doing what they do, they are just not allowed to exploit anymore. Boo-whoo

Its been used for over a decade in null to get stuff out of a POS or out of docking range on a station. Not an exploit, what CCP are doing is what they have been doing for the last 5 years. They are catering to the bears of highsec who don't want to put any effort into protecting themselves.

No seriously, just STFU and STFD or just leave the game. We won't miss Bads™ like you.

If you overload your freighter you are asking to be ganked. If you are prudent, that is do not overload your freighter and use a scout you'll be fine.

I am so sick and tired of bad players like you going on and on about risk vs. reward when in truth you are talking out of your a$$. You do not understand risk, risk vs. reward or what it means to be risk averse or risk seeking. Here let me help you, if you load up 8+ billion ISK in your freighter you are risk SEEKING. Yes you are SEEKING risk you stupid fool.

So how about you have a nice cup of STFU and then STFD...or if that is not to your liking GTFO. No seriously, quit. Go play some other game where you can be a dumbass and it will cost you nothing for being a dumbass.

Seriously this is just a game. I am lobbying a point of view, while others lobby theirs.

So please seek professional help, that was way off the charts. That wasn't a sarcastic comment or anything else, I think you need professional help.

Or you could just learn what you are writing about. Instead you come and whine and whine and whine, and the hard fact is you are advocating where risk seeking behavior is rewarded.

If people are seeking risk...why are they upset when they find it? They got what they were looking for. Why blame those who gave them what they wanted. They wanted that risk, and they got it. Everyone should be happy.

Right an exploit that has been used for years and discussed over hundreds if not thousands of posts on these forums and CCP never noticed....please. This is just too stupid.

And there are counters. Don't be risk seeking and use a scout and you'll be fine.

Seriously, why are so many people hung up on people who engage in risk seeking behavior and when it turns our bad for them rush in and say, "Oh that is bad!"? This has always been a game about consequences and over filling your freighter makes you, literally, a player who is seeking risk.

The 'creating content' standing joke might be about dead. Skill Injectors, FTP update incoming. Kind of seems that CCP wants new guys to have a good day, or even 30 mostly good days, so they hang around for 30 days more. Don't know of any way to invest counter to the 'high sec content creation' business model and make isk from it. But I would if I could. And I definitely would not invest into a long-term high sec bumping/ganking plan.

Well I suppose you'd jump into system and see if there is a macherial sitting there. Granted they could cloak, but I have seen them just sitting there. You could even wait for awhile to see if they are cloaked and decloak and start bumping.

Proper fix for bumping.

If a pilot rams a ship they are not in fleet with, the bigger ship wins. The smaller one pops.

It's good for the economy - ships exploding.

So much content, you would think it was Christmas. But so many tears, you'd think the snow was salt.

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

Why is it so important for one group of players to force their style of play onto another group of players?

I infiltrated c0d3 and what I saw was inauspicious.

I agree with the sentiment. I have no idea why carebears think they are entitled to remove themselves from PvP in a full-time, PvP sandbox and force their 'play style' on the rest of us who are here to participate in the rough-and-tumble, single universe competitive game that CCP has built, rather than some FarmVille-in-space clone.

If they don't want to PvP, then why don't they just go play one of the many other space games where that is optional? Instead, they constantly try to get CCP nerf our game into boredom, with some success even.

Player-driven content can only flow if the players are vulnerable to each other. Given Eve's central premise is that we are each other's content (AKA: Everyone vs. Everyone) in a single shared universe vying for power and resources, keeping that life-blood of content flowing is critical for the game to function and for player-driven stories to flower, no matter how some entitled special snowflake feels about that or how sad they get after losing some imaginary space pixels.

Calm down miner. We do not force a play stile on anyone, we just enforce a just set of rules in our sovereign territory. I think everyone can agree this is a just cause.

It's so funny that you consider bumping a miner to be, "rough-and-tumble" PvP.
